This is the first time I heard the word bespoke also I never heard anyone using it in their conversations or reading it in a book. As English been my second language I’ve to use a dictionary to know the meaning of bespoke. This word doesn’t inspire me to write at all. I’ve been looking at my computer screen with nothing to say. In the meantime, I took this picture of my dogs sleeping around the Christmas tree it looks they have a favorite spot.

Every year, my family drives down to Banner Elk to pick out a Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. This excursion has evolved from a fun family trip to becoming an expectation within the family. It is rare to get all five of us together now that the eldest one attends college, and the youngest one always seems to have something better to do. However, never once have I or my brothers complained about waking up at 7:30 in the morning to go Christmas tree shopping. “It’s something about the smell of freshly cut firs and warm apple cider...the thought of the holiday seasons keep us going when we would otherwise have no interest” (Correll). Banner Elk is not only associated with annual traditions to me, but also to the rest of my family, which is why Banner Elk is seemingly a part of our families culture and something we all consider to be our “happy
LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Many local families battled the cold for a chance to visit with Santa Clause Saturday. Sleigh bells were ringing at the Market Square Mall in Lafayette.
No, I left them in LA. I have a house sitter who has been with me for years now. And because the dogs are older--and thank you everybody for all the prayers and support of my little Lucy's surgery and recovery. I love sharing that again because we went through something very bad, and I can feel the support on social media and the power of prayer is incredible. And I know there were so many prayers.
Before digging into tangled up balls of lights, I raked and mowed her lawn. I decorated her front porch with a wreath, garland, and white lights. For her yard, I put blue lights on the tree and bushes, and set out her snowmen and reindeer. After finishing the yard, I went inside and helped decorate her Christmas tree with blue lights, ornaments, topped off with an angel.
I bet hell will want to sleep with you when you go to visit! They are pack animals and like to be cozied up. We got enough trouble sharing a bed here without adding a dog to the mix. In fact, when Kitty was still with us, we woke to her falling off the bed a couple times. Poor thing. Clyde, he just liked to sit on my head. I guess I was in his spot!
And when you leave treats for Santa to put in his mouth, be sure not to leave the Brownies without. Set out cakes, chips and cookies, and set out a bunch! ‘Cause they don’t have time to have dinner or lunch. Leave them something to drink, too, like milk, punch or pop. This will help them to work without having to stop.
The Next day, we went down stairs to see our gifts. But when we sew the tree their wor few gifts that santa had left. Then, from the dining room we heard “HO HO HO” as santa walked in to give us the rest of our gifts.
British imperialism created more harm in the way that it drastically changed the way the indians lived their regular lives and followed their cultural practices. Once the British East India Company began controlling more and more territory in India, they had their own army, which was led by the British but staffed by Indians and this led to many problems, one being that the British sealed the bullets of the Enfield rifle with beef and pork fat, which are extremely sacred animals to Hindus and Muslims (Hooper Binder). This shows how bad the intentions of the British were for the Indians; it didn't matter how the Indians felt, it only mattered that the British would achieve their main priority, which is to ignore the culture of the Indians and
There are over 30 holiday scenes and hundreds and thousands of LED lights. The park, which is loved by all during the day, transforms in a magical walk through light display at night. If you have never seen this display in person, you are missing out as this award winning assortment of lights, music and Christmas décor is well worth the trip up the mountain.
Pec is a system that was developed in 1985 to help people with ASD communicate more effectively. PECS stands for Picture Exchange Communication System. Students with ASD often struggle and have difficulties communicating effectively with others starting from a very young age. Due to these difficulties. The child will often become easily frustrated with trying to verbalize or gesture their needs and wants. This can also be overwhelming for the person who's trying to receive the message as well. PECS was simply put in place to make things more simple for both communicating parties.
Christmas tree: hmm… now even im wondering if my purpose in the house was of mere decoration. Even in this festive season will I
Someone once asked me a question that I have struggled to answer. Although it was simply asked, the answer was nothing but complex- what is the difference between a man and a woman? Such a loaded question when you think of it. We have come so far in society to where we now allow females to run for president. But the opportunity is much different for a woman than it is a man. How so? To be specific, men and women are not equal when it comes to many things, such as dictations of gender roles in households, unequal pay in the workplace, and gender inequality in political circles. One of the articles I read, discusses the gender differences in society and its effect on women today. Carli’s (1999) article addresses the constant power struggle in society in her work called, Gender, Interpersonal Power, and Social Influence. The sociological question in this article is whether men possess higher levels of power than women. How is it that a man can hold the same position as a woman, in the same company, having earned the same degree, yet the dollar amount the male earns is seemingly higher than the woman’s, even though it is the same amount of work? As a society, we have been conditioned to believe that the amount of effort and work women put into their jobs is less valuable than that of a man’s. More women are attending college and getting degrees, yet our progress since the women’s right movement has been so minimal. Society is more focused on the gender role of an individual
We each take a huge breath as we step out into the crispy snow that snaps under our boots. I make my way to the front door, illuminated by the red, green, and blue Christmas lights. As I open the door and step into a house full of cheek pinches and hugs, an array of Christmas smells welcomes me and makes my mouth water. As my family and I are quickly made comfortable, I look around... All the house is full of Christmas decorations, and the carols are heard all over the house. My cousins are running, playing , and laughing.
Yet it is the company's product imaging through separation and situating that makes the quintessentially British brand interesting today. Based around the idea of Britishness.
