The Martha Rules follows in the footsteps of Martha Stewart, where she analyzes and suggests many strong features in the business world and in life as well. Looking into the business world, I saw it from a student point of view; scary, intimidating, and uneasy to figure out. Analyzing the title, The Martha Rules, I expected a book with a multitude of rules that would be explained minimally with little experience and background. From watching Martha Stewart, I understood her fame account and her role in television shows, news, and cooking. In my personal life, I have experience with promoting events of my church, Northridge Fellowship church in Rogers, Mn. When I decided to organize and host a Girl’s Night for the girls in the youth group, I had to be creative in how I was promoting my audience to attend the event because I needed to reach a specific audience of various ages. Using creativity and also common sense, I promoted through various forms of social media, email, posters, and other products that brought fifty girls to the event with over half of the girls being brand new to Northridge Fellowship church. In conclusion, being creative when thinking of ways to promote information needs to be used in all tactics of a strategy. Key concepts such as getting an audience 's’ opinion on products and/or companies is essential for keeping a relationship intact between the public and a company. On page 9 of The Martha Rules, Martha Stewart (Stewart) explains the importance of having an audience trust a business and how engaging with the audience brought a better relationship with a company and the public (Stewart, 9). An example in life is from the new Amazon football television program, Amazon gains daily customers and with their trust, the customers will pay for the football program to save money on watching the game rather than on television or in person (Novy-Williams).
