The little league event I was working at was very hot day for everyone. I received a call from Helen regarding that she needed scissors to cut off zip-ties that were holding a canopy that she was told to bring back with Bryson. I had not been informed that Mr.Winn told our ambassadors that he had sent them on their own to go pick up the canopy on their own, without supervision. I was currently watching the game, while keeping my eyes on Amber and Dajah who were policing people from coming inside the baseball area with outside food. When I went to give the scissors to Helen and Bryson, I had notice that the gate was shut to enter the dugout area where they were retrieving the canopy. I had asked them how did they get through the closed gate. They had told me that they had climbed over to get to the other side. At that point when they told me, I felt very concerned because they could have gotten hurt and I had not know where they were because Mr.Winn had got out of his way to use his authority to have our ambassadors complete a task without my supervision or by my word. I told Helen and Bryson to climb back over and not to worry about the canopy anymore because it was to complicated for them to retrieve it. The canopy was also broken and they were using sticks to hold it open. That is also an issue because the ambassadors could hurt themselves trying to take down the canopy and no was there their to help them out because they need 4 people taking down a canopy to hold each
On April 7,2018, I was assigned the duties as Field Training Deputy. At approximately 0420, Arrestee Hedman, Roy (#1749220) was refusing to follow any orders given to him by Deputies when he entered the Intake Area. While in Holding Cell B116, Arrestee Hedman attempted to kick Deputy Holliday twice. I took control of Arrestee Hedman's legs to prevent him from kicking any staff members. While attempting to remove Arrestee Hedman's pants, Inmate Hedman attempted to stand up twice on the bench. Inmate Hedman refused to comply with any commands being given to him. I then took control of Arrestee Hedman's right leg and assisted him to the floor. I then took control again of both of Arrestee Hedman's legs. I removed Arrestee Hedman's pants, underwear,
On August 5, 2016 at 6:20 am I held Aaron Mills after the morning check in to discuss a situation that arose at Annandale High School. Present at the meeting was Craig Carney, Liaison and Steve Passino, HVAC Supervisor. The previous day Aaron was responding to a service call for the Athletic Directors office area Rooftop B1. Upon arrival at the jobsite I twice questioned Aaron if he had thoroughly checked out the Rooftop unit. Aaron responded “YES”. I then asked if he had checked the Freon charges in the system and Aaron responded “NO” as this is critical to a units operation. Prior to our arrival Aaron had informed Joe Lanham and Ed Bowler that everything was checked out on the Rooftop unit. While inspecting Rooftop B1 Steve Passino asked
Monday was a slow day at the office, and I was not given a task by my supervisor to complete. I took the initiative to email everyone in my intake department. My email asked if anyone needed assistance with their cases to contact me. An intake case worker saw my email and told an ongoing caseworker who need assistance. The ongoing caseworker asked if I could assist her with transporting a child from the Perseus shelter to the McKean County Court House. The ongoing caseworker said she did not feel comfortable with transporting her teenage girl client in her car alone. The ongoing caseworker wanted another caseworker to monitor the girl’s behavior. I accompanied the ongoing casework with transporting the youth to court. The
In the duty to the little league it was to watch over the teens who plays under the team he manages. However, in this situation he handed supervision over to his assistant coach Daniel to watch over the teens while he talks to a parent of one of the children who play on the team. The initial start of the incident was the team horse playing around while under the supervision of the Daniel, but the incident was allowed under the supervision and consent of Daniel not the consent of Wes. So he did not breach the duty of supervision when he transferred the supervision knowingly left them with an adult who had authority over the children as much as he did. Leaving Daniel to supervise the team while Wes talks to a parent of a child on the team. An initial determination he was leaving the children in great care. Having Daniel watch the team is what cause the incident. The cause of this could not have been predicted since the coach had plenty of experience with the teens and for numerous of year of coaching
Calhoun forwarded me his findings and informed me the incident occurred on Evening Watch, I viewed the incident on Avigilon video and determined a use of force incident report need to be completed in Blue Team. I then notified Sgt. Kizer-Hudson, who was the supervisor over 8NE, and inquired on if she was aware that the use of force incident occurred. She replied, “No.” I proceeded to show Sgt. Kizer-Hudson the video and she stated, “I remember the incident the officers called a non-compliant I responded, but they didn’t tell me about the use of force part.” I replied, what did they tell you?” Sgt. Kizer-Hudson stated, “Officer R. Dunans stated he give Inmate Mitchell verbal commands to return to his cell, inmate Mitchell refused and wanted to speak to a supervisor.” I advised Sgt. Kizer-Hudson the incident wasn’t reported and I found out about the incident when Mitchell’s attorney sent an email about his outcry. I then instructed Sgt. Kizer-Hudson to start a use of force report in Blue Team, and get statements from all officers involved as to why they failed to report the use of force to
Daniel emphasized how strict the entertainment departments budget were that I caused them to go over budget by not taking breaks and that from there on out I would be getting scheduled 28 hours a week. David changed my time sheet and added breaks on days that I did not take breaks. Daniel also stated that by the time I had replied to Davids missed time punch text that the time sheet was already sent in. I asked Daniel how this could be corrected and he told me he would have to check with HR but that I could just not clock out for 3 days. Daniel also asked me I meant by "I was doing lead work". I replied by telling him I lead my staff, performed closing lead duties; such as End of Day report, contacting guest services, reporting directly to
When Mr. Richard was unload his bus on 8/16/17 with his stop signs out at PVM to go get another load of students another bus drove around him, while he was unloading. After he left all the buses started unload their students and the same bus driver started back up her bus with students all around her bus. That evening I asked Mr. Geraci what can we do about the safety issues with that bus driver and he told me in front of 4 other bus driver. That she is going to have a hit a student before anything will get done. I told Mr. Geraci that was wrong and he told me to call Mr. Yates. So, I call Mr. Yates. Me and him had words and he got very ugly with me so I told
On Sunday Aug 7th during Colt World Series there was an issue with some of the “Teammates” using chalk both outside or Loeb Stadium and inside the corridor of Loeb. Valerie Berry had stated that she talked to the group and advised to them that this was not allowed and that they were going to have to stop and clean the affected areas. I am not for certain who she said she spoke to with at the time. Before the conversation between Valerie and I, I observed two “teammates” drawing right outside the main entrance to Loeb stadium. I approached the girls and told them that there was no use of chalk permitted with any of Lafayette City Parks. The young girls then asked me what the issue in chalk was to the parks. I advised that my Boss Security Coordinator Tom Rankin did not like the presence of chalk because it promotes other types of graffiti. One of the girls who was still activity drawing at the time ask me if she would be able to finish what she was drawing at the time. I told her that if she really wanted to finish it she could but, the chalk was going to have to be cleaned off either way. She advised that she understood the instructions that I gave her.
Firstly, communication is key in every situation. Proper communication in this story could have prevented a lot of the negative issues that occurred.
Large yellow school busses lining the streets, school parking lots filled with employee cars, and students walking to school with loaded backpacks; all signs that school is in session. With the excitement of motivated students filling the classrooms and sounds of young chatter in the hallways, it is almost impossible to think that anything could go wrong during the school year. However, in no time, a student is on the ground with a large gash down their leg and a broken arm. It was not clumsiness or mischief, it was the uneven blacktop that has been cracked for the past four years. This scenario could be an occurrence at many sites, however, with proper procedure, and maintenance, possible cases of negligence can be avoided. At Lakeside Middle School, the administration and custodian personnel conduct walkthroughs on a regular basis, yet there are still possible cases of negligence lurking in the realm.
Dust flew up as my feet fell heavily onto the ground under the weight of the large bag of trash I was carrying. Angry words muttered their way out of my mouth under my breath. My friend walked beside me in the same circumstance. We were in the midst of summer camp, nearing the end, a seemingly uneventful week had passed. Soon the work around camp had begun to increase: throwing out trash, setting up a gateway, taking tents down, etc. IT'S the scoutmaster's job to delegate tasks to the scouts, however most of the work seemed to fall on me and a few others. We basically did just about every job in the camp eight times over WHILE others had barely moved a muscle. I decided to have a talk with my scoutmaster concerning how the work was being unfairly distributed. I sluggishly walked over to the adult area to find the scoutmaster reclined in his chair, his head
Toni is a good supervisor. The teachers in my placement are also very professional. I did activities, washed toys, cleaned rooms, recorded children's routines, talked my observations to my mentor. I always sing songs and support children's food and nap time. I am trying my best to be a good team member in there. However, last week I made a mistake, I made apologizes to Toni and my Field mentor. On Monday after I changed diaper, I helped the child to wash his hands. There is a small chair under the sink, there are some pictures on the wall to show the children can stand on the chair to wash hands. So the child stand on the chair and I was holding him, my legs also
The next morning, SPC Snyder found out that SGT Quirarte was on leave and coud not counsel her. SPC Snyder then came to me thinking I was the acting Squad leader and the next leader she should come to in her chain of command and then asked if I would counsel her on requesting leave and the procedures she needs to follow since Staff sergeant Hollenbach was off, From what she said, i understood that Staff sergeant Hollenbach told her to get her leave packet done first thing in the morning, i understand that SPC Snyder and I did not show up to class at 0900, i was in charge, so i was therefore, i was taking charge, as the saying goes "When in charge, take charge" which i am sure every soldier in the United States army has heard more than once. I understand that i probably should have chosen a different time to complete the counseling but i figured since her own team leader isnt here and wasnt going to complete the counseling on his day off and not take care of his soldier then i should be the one to take care of her, since her team leader wasnt going to be able to do so, when i deem neccessary, it is definatley absolutley one hundred and ten percent my fault that i chose a bad time to complete to complete SPC Snyders counseling, you might even choose the saying, the wrong time to complete SPC Snyders counseling, rather than a bad time to complete SPC Snyders counseling, but i was not sure when the
One day, Jane and one of her new subordinates got into a small argument over a letter that was typed by the subordinate. The letter was to explain a situation between a teacher and a student at the school in which she worked. The employee asked Jane if it was okay for her to go ahead and draft up the letter because Jane had been in meetings most of the morning. Jane said with conviction, that it was okay for the employee to do so, but not to send it out before she looks over it. The employee typed up the letter and left it on Jane’s desk for her to read after she returned from lunch. When Jane returned and read the letter, she was not happy with any of it. She took out a red pen, and started marking up the letter from top to bottom. After making all of the corrections she felt as though the letter needed, she called the employee back into her office to show her what she needed her to do. The employee looked to be taken back a little by Jane, however, she did not respond in a manner that was disrespectful. She took the paper, and proceeded to her desk. As Jane and I were in discussion, we heard the subordinate on the phone. Jane excused herself from our discussion to go and see if the letter was finished. The
Back in the day, when I remember of me being a child and it was one of the best moment I could think of my childhood that happened in the summer, where good time start it and not too far off that it sound it like that we played in the water and we figured since it is a bit hot outside i was going to six flags and having some fun with our family and friend having an enjoyable time. Few things I would say about my childhood was also the summer time, when the sun was hitting my body my mom used to worry about me a lot so I would not get dark so she would tell me to put sunscreen on all the time even on my face and in front of my friends but back when I was little I did not get what or why she was saying that but now I get it on why. Sometime when I didn’t wear the slippers my feet would burn like I was walking in a fried pan but I were to just walk in grass with my wet feet and then a few seconds later same thing happens again so it was not point of walking in the grass but I still walked. I closed my eyes one time because my mom used to surprise me with friends coming over, going to swimming and having a picnic and playing with the park dogs, it would be so much fun but we had this curfew time to get back home and the only annoying thing was the bugs and bees around us that were biting out skins off and making us scratch and the dirt we use in or the mud that we use to make sand castles out of at the beach. I tried to look up and see if I would be getting some shade anytime
