On November 22, 1963, a tragedy occurred that would greatly affect The United States of America. President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was fatally shot, once in the head and once in the neck, during the motorcade through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas. His wife, First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy was beside him during the motorcade when her husband was shot and tried to save him but nothing could be done. He was brought to the nearest hospital and pronounced dead at the age of 46. To this day there is no definite answer to the question many still ask: who shot and killed President Kennedy? There are multiple conspiracy theories that are believed to be true but are not proven with evidence. The Lee Harvey Oswald theory is one of the top theories that is …show more content…
It is said that Oswald brought the murder weapon, a rifle, to the Texas School Depository and fired it from the sixth floor once he had the chance. He owned the rifle that was used and it was later found with his fingerprints on it. He admitted that he had carried a paper bag during his journey to work on the morning of the assassination. A homemade paper bag, constructed from the TSBD stock of wrapping paper and large enough to contain the rifle, was discovered close to the sixth–floor window from which the shots had been fired. Oswalds fingerprints were also found on the cardboard box close to where the bullet shells were found, causing suspicion. Witnesses also place him on the sixth floor seen in a window at the time of the assassination. After the shots were fired, Oswald escaped from the building, the Texas School Book Depository, but shot and killed a police officer in the process. This, along with the other pieces of evidence, raises a red flag, Oswald may have shot him in fear of being accused and getting caught but this only ended up hurting him because it caused more
Close to the window on the sixth floor where the empty bullet shells were found, there were several heavy cardboard boxes of books, which the gunman would almost certainly have had to move. Oswald left fingerprints and palmprints on two of the boxes. One palmprint had been placed on a box at some point during the three days before the assassination; the other prints were probably older. Oswald may have left the prints when shooting President Kennedy, but he may simply have left them as part of his job, which involved handling cartons of books on the sixth
There are many theories that have been introduced to people surrounding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The assassination of the 35th President of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, occurred on November 22, 1963. Kennedy was fatally shot while riding in the presidential limousine through the streets of Dallas, Texas. The projectile that struck his head shattered the right side of his skull. During an interview with the Detroit Free Press (2013), a former secret service agent named Clint Hill recalled his actions moments after the shooting. He tells the reporter that he covered the presidents head because, "She didn't want anybody to see the condition he
The conspiracy that Oswald was the lone shooter is amongst many historians. Like David Corn, Max Holland also believes Oswald was responsible for Kennedy's death. Holland goes into detail about Oswald's interest in following what Fidel Castro had to say about the Cuban revolution. When Cuba became more hostile towards the U.S., Kennedy's alleged plot to kill Castro heightened and led Oswald to show his commitment to Castro. Holland explains that Oswald demonstrated twice that he was capable of inflicting violence among himself and several others to present to Castro he was a "friend of Cuba" and was "ready for anything." 8 Oswald even attempted to assassination a right-wing general, Edwin Walker, but failed.
Texas Theater where Oswald was arrested says that Oswald was at the theater the exact moment Officer Tippit was killed. “The bullet shells from an automatic pistol found at the Tippit killing scene don't even fit Oswald’s only known handgun which was a revolver” (Groden 23). “The doctors who labored in a futile effort to save Kennedy’s life at the Parkland hospital all had stated that in contemporaneous interviews that the wound in his throat had been and entrance wound. Wade and the FBI had concluded that Oswald was directly behind the president and that he alone had fired a weapon in Dealey plaza.” (Lane 17). So if he was directly behind the president how could he create and exit wound in the front of John F. Kennedy’s throat. Also if the

of that ("The CIA and the JFK assassination"). Lee Harvey Oswald was the actual man accused of
On November 22, 1963, at 12:30 p.m., President Kennedy was shot as his motorcade drove
Contrary to the Warren Commission’s findings, Lee Harvey Oswald, acting alone, did not kill President John F. Kennedy. There are several crucial areas of evidence, which prove Lee Harvey Oswald did not kill the president. Numerous eyewitness accounts show that the shots came from the direction of the grassy knoll (Jack Hill), and not from the Texas School Book Depositary. The number and timing of the bullets fired again prove that Oswald, acting alone, did not kill President Kennedy. Oswald also could not possibly have had the opportunity to shoot President Kennedy, and the rifle in question
John Fitzgerald Kennedy, 46, President for 1,026 days, was assassinated on November 22, 1963 in Dallas Texas. He, his wife, Jackie, the Vice President and many others were in Dallas for a reelection campaign for the upcoming election in 1964 when the horrible incident happened. Sadly, there is no decent explanation of the assassination from the government – The Warren Report is a 26 Volume Report that claims that Lee Harvey Oswald is the lone assassin – I do not agree with this.
I think Lee Harvey Oswald was set up because could never have gotten from the second floor to the sixth then down to the second floor in 90 seconds or less. another reason why I think he was set up because they never could trial Oswald because of Jack Ruby killed Oswald. I think that Oswald had information that whatever
Most people in USA thinks the JFK assassination was a conspiracy. But which conspiracies are most believable?
The assassination of John F. Kennedy is said to be, as from the Warren report, a murder. The Warren report states that a man, Lee Harvey Oswald, fired 3 shots from the 6th floor of the Texas Book State Depository building. One missed the President’s motorcade completely; another hit President Kennedy in the neck, and the last hit him in the head, which was later said after an autopsy, to be the cause of death.
The unusual signs just prior to the Kennedy’s assassination led to some questions but everything went as planned because of the smoothness of executing the plan. Consequently, the Presidents car leaving the parade at ten miles an hour and left Oswald with a easier shot at President Kennedy. Also, the Presidents car leaving the parade through the new route was closer to Oswald’s hideout(John F.Kennedy Assassination Homepage).Subsequently, the new route disorientated the police guards at there post and it made the view for Oswald’s shot unmistakable at President Kennedy(Sneed 311).With everyone hearing a high powered rifle being shot, police had a tough time looking for the accurate suspect with a rifle because almost everyone in Dallas had one in there truck during the hunting season(Minutaglio 149).Thus,evidence showed that the assassination was well planned.
An hour after Kennedy’s death, Oswald was arrested and convicted of killing the President. Two days later Oswald was shot and killed by Jack Ruby. It has been said that Harvey was standing on the sixth floor of the Texas School Depository Building when he fired the two shots that killed Kennedy. Police also thought that Oswald could not have acted alone. In the Zapruder film, when Kennedy is shot, he falls forward. If kennedy was shot from the front, he would have fallen backwards. After investigating the assassination more they discovered that Oswald did not kill Kennedy. The records that have not been released on Kennedy’s assassination is said to be released in October 2017 (Why the Last JFK Files Could Embarrass the
It was believed in the “Oswald lone shooting” theory that he shot one bullet. From educated background knowledge about rifles, the rifle believed to be used in the assassination might have been accurate enough to get the job done, but at the angle and height it would have been almost impossible to make the shot. That bullet was believed to have traveled from the sixth floor of the book depository on a downward slant. It had to be timed perfectly considering the target was moving at fourteen miles an hour. While this seems like a hard shot to make already, the bullet entered Kennedy's back and then moved upward on an apparent ricochet, out his throat and into John Connelly’s chest, where it created seven wounds all together (“JFK Assassination”). “There is no way that one bullet was shot. In the video Kennedy moves more than once” (Bradford). Many people have doubted the one bullet
