On November 22, 1963, a tragedy occurred that would greatly affect The United States of America. President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was fatally shot, once in the head and once in the neck, during the motorcade through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas. His wife, First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy was beside him during the motorcade when her husband was shot and tried to save him but nothing could be done. He was brought to the nearest hospital and pronounced dead at the age of 46. To this day there is no definite answer to the question many still ask: who shot and killed President Kennedy? It is said that Oswald brought the murder weapon, a rifle, to the Texas School Depository and fired it from the sixth floor once he had the chance. He owned the rifle that was used and it was later found with his fingerprints on it. He admitted that he had carried a paper bag during his journey to work on the morning of the assassination. A homemade paper bag, constructed from the TSBD stock of wrapping paper and large enough to contain the rifle, was discovered close to the sixth–floor window from which the shots had been fired. Oswalds fingerprints were also found on the cardboard box close to where the bullet shells were found, causing suspicion. Witnesses also place him on the sixth floor seen in a window at the time of the assassination. After the shots were fired, Oswald escaped from the building, the Texas School Book Depository, but shot and killed a police officer in the process. This, along with the other pieces of evidence, raises a red flag, Oswald may have shot him in fear of being accused and getting caught but this only ended up hurting him because it caused more
