When anthropologists are studying a culture, they usually look at the language first; language can tell us a lot about a group of people such as their beliefs, values, and customs. Researchers oftentimes find both, variations and similarities, between two geographically related (or even non-related) societies. For example, there are colors, shades, and hues that are visible to some cultures but not to others because the words for them do not exists in the language of that culture. Although many concepts are not found all over the globe and in all religions, “evil” is a term that seems to exist in nearly every language all over the globe. The most prominent proof of a people’s beliefs about topics is found in the language of the people’s …show more content…

The Lutheran Christian belief is that evil is “any word/deed that is not in accord with God's moral will” (Pacey). Although the previously mentioned religions confirm that evil exists, Buddhists believe that it is useless to ponder about either good or evil forces and it is important to only pay attention to and respond to the “current” (“Evil in Buddhism -- How Buddhists Understand Evil”). Evil is often broken into two types--moral and natural evil. Moral evil exists in wilful acts of evil such as murder, rape, and robbery. Basically, somebody is morally evil when they commit an “evil act” because they wanted to. The second form of evil is known as natural evil. Natural disasters such as famines, floods, and tornadoes are considered to be natural
Evil acts are caused by others who do or do not have empathy for anyone, meaning they won’t care for a person's morals. In addition, evil acts could also be done
Natural Evil refers to natural disaster such as typhoon, volcanic eruption, earthquake and tsunami, those natural phenomenon causing human suffering. Moral Evil is defined as human being imposed suffering to others. (Warburton, 1995) The problem of evil is a challenge to the existence because God is regarded as benevolence, omnipotence. If God exist, the omnipotent God should not allow the exist of evil.
The definition of evil is the “exercise of power” (“The Psychology of Evil”), according to psychologist Philip Zimbardo. In consonance with this definition, people execute an evil act “to intentionally harm people psychologically, to hurt people physically, to destroy people mortally, or ideas, and to commit crimes against humanity” (Zimbardo, “The Psychology of Evil”). Based on this, evil is committed with the intention to inflict harm on people and the environment. The incentive to perform evil acts, moreover, derives from the internal sentiments of an individual. It also becomes influenced by the external environment encasing the individual, and the way that individual exerts these characteristics on others and on his or her surroundings.
Snopes’s destruction is a swipe at the financial security that de Spain has and that Snopes lacks, as well as a clear statement of his unhappiness at being subservient to de Spain for his livelihood. Without even knowing the de Spains, Snopes resents them simply for being prosperous landowners and in a superior position. A barn holds a farmer’s livelihood, including crops, livestock, and machinery, and this is Snopes’s usual target. Extending his criminal reach to the rug signals that Snopes’s resentment now encompasses the domestic sphere as well. The shocking act of smearing the rug with excrement eventually leads to the rug’s complete destruction, which then leads to another court hearing, another act of revenge, and ultimately Snopes’s death.

Evil is a term used to describe acts that are so horrid, so abhorrent that no other words can truly depict such unthinkable things. Throughout history, many acts of evil have been committed by mankind, ranging from the stone age all the way up until today, therefore it will likely linger into the coming years. As humans, morals are taught from a young age, not only from parents, but also society, and tradition. As long as societies have different upbringings, contrasting morals, and various beliefs, evil will always exist. History is an immense reminder and holds abundant amounts of examples of evil.
By definition, evil is an act or feeling that is “profoundly immoral and malevolent”. The problem is that evil is a subjective term. Each person sees evil differently.
Divide evil(s) into two kinds;natural and moral. Natural evils are more difficult to prove than moral evils, because they seem to be directly traceable to God,from natural disasters like earthquakes and volcanoes over which humans seem to have little control. The latter are the evils, which lead to suffering, which arise from the deliberate choice of people to use their freedom to cause pain to others.

Evil is often believed to be an attribute that only horrible people possess. Evil is used to describe only the most terrible actions or crimes. However, the dictionary defines evil as “a profound immortality, wickedness, and depravity, especially when regarded as a supernatural force.” This leads to the conclusion that evil is an inevitable force of nature.
What is evil? I believe that evil is the devoid of good intentions. Evil can also corrupt an individual and society and evil can cause suffering. Evil is also wicked that causes harm, crime, misfortune, and in some instances war. Throughout this course I have been able to study evil in eastern religions, Hinduism and Buddhism respectively. There representation of evil is far different than my view of evil was before this class. In this paper, I will discuss the evil ideologies of both religions and then choose which ideology that I prefer.
Two types of evil exist in our world today. Natural evil occurs when earthquakes, hurricanes,
When I think of good and evil I consider these words have fluctuating meanings to different people. Evil defined is “profoundly immoral and malevolent” yet its definition is interpreted differently by individuals along with the origin of the word. An example of this may be someone who believes evil was created to counterbalance good while evil to another is an act created by Satin. Even though there are various ways to construe this act it has always been known to be something destructive.
Evil, as mentioned before, is commonly referred to the act or actions that go directly against what is to be considered good. Good, or a set or morals and believes, have differed between the many generation that have existed over time. One must properly understand that what they believe to be pure evil could be seen as doing the right thing in the eyes of others. Evil has a very bias perception to its definition, but is always measured by the same means no matter where what and when it is describes. Evil is the
