Anne Frank was a German-Jewish teenager born on June 12, 1929, in Frankfurt, Germany. Her and her family were forced to go into hiding during the Holocaust. She and her family, along with eight others, spent over two years during World War 2 hiding in an annex of rooms above her father’s office in Amsterdam. During this time, Frank wrote about her experiences and encounters in a Diary who was never meant to be published, The Diary of Anne Frank. Her work has gone on to be read by millions. In her book she talks about her life and everything she encountered, but one of the main ones were the fact that she was a jew, second one being all the tensions of everyone she had to share a shelter with, and last one being sent to concentration camps and being separated from her family. Anne Frank being a jew was the main problem she faced. The Nazi party of Germany extended its influence to Amsterdam, and Anne’s family was one of the ones subjected to a series of laws restricting the behavior of Jews since they were Jews. Life for Anne Frank completely started changing. Jews were forbidden to own radios and only allowed to live in Amsterdam. She encountered many difficult situations and circumstances in the hiding and even after her family was found. As if being a Jew wasn't hard enough, during her time in the Annex tensions between the eight residents there made it hard for her and there she began to write her diary which unexpectedly planned became published and she became known. Also the tragic split up of her family when they had gotten captured and sent to concentration camps after two years and one month in hiding.
