She actually doesn't have the right to be judgmental at all. Her line "The innocent people, the slaughter." when she's killed innocent people as well. It's okay when she does it but when anyone else does it's an issue.
She shouldn't be surprised at all. She had this delusion of him, thinking she's the person who knows him best even though he's been with and have known his siblings for over a thousand years. She knew how he was in the past. He told her and she's heard about. Also, they fought and? She's a hybrid and he's an Original vampire that's what happens. Kol sucked Davina dry but Davina didn't judge him for it. Ancestors controlled Kol's blood lust and Elijah's blood lust controlled him and yet only Hayley is being judgmental. She's
From Peter’s point of view, this reconnaissance mission by the McCuolloughs and others seems like a mass shooting. Before, he claims, “This is no one’s fight but my own. And I do not want it” (63, ch. 6). He does not want everyone to be there eager to murder innocent ranchers, some of whom attended his son’s christening (62, ch. 6). It is difficult to witness this event through Peter’s eyes because the reader sees a mass slaughter.
That's funny you said that. I actually wrote to someone that Elijah and Hayley basically have a father/daughter relationship. She's his prize possession who can do no wrong and even if she is wrong he placates her. At this point I wouldn't be surprised that if she were to attempt to kill him he would wear a smile on his face apologizing to her and saying "You had no choice" or "I forgive you."
I think she did this so she can protect her family from harm and let
Free will or the lack thereof is one of the most significant themes throughout the novel Slaughterhouse-Five, or The Children’s Crusade: A Duty-Dance with Death written by Kurt Vonnegut. This book follows the story of a man, Billy Pilgrim, throughout his experiences during the World War II or more specifically the bombing of Dresden, Germany, his time on Tralfamadore, and scattered events throughout his lifetime. The readers are told that Billy is a time-traveler; he cannot control when he will leave when he comes back, or to what point in time he is traveling to, but he relives events throughout his life multiple times because of it. In several points in the book, Vonnegut writes about the concept of free will. The Tralfamadorians that
‘It is injustice with innocent people and she can’t forgive them. She is angry at them’. She also added that, ‘this cannot happen to any other person like his child, as she feels for everyone.’
In the short story “Lamb to the Slaughter” by Roald Dahl, the character Mary is often portrayed as a villain due to her actions throughout the story. Although she begins as a seemingly innocent and helpless housewife, Mary’s actions reveal a darker side to her character that ultimately classifies her as a villain. One of the key aspects of Mary’s character that paints her as a villain is her calculated and cold-blooded response to her husband’s shocking revelation that he is leaving her. After years of seemingly happy marriage, Mary’s world is shattered when her husband announces his intention to leave her for another woman.
to others by no choice of her own. And is judged and penalised for it.
It was another typical Tuesday - a mostly cloudy, warm spring day, 65-70 degrees. All kids were getting up, and heading off to school like any other weekday. Feet shuffled through the halls as the bell rang, indicating for class to start. Something seemed to be in the air, though, that just didn 't quite seem right. Everyone moved on through their morning without giving things a second thought. Little did all of the students and teachers know, fifteen people would be dead within only a few hours.
When the Holocaust is mentioned, the first thing people think of is usually the concentration camps or Hitler. Most people forget about the other tragic events that occurred outside of the camps. More importantly, they usually identify they blame the wrong people who had committed these crimes. The Einsatzgruppen had operated in the territories and areas owned by the Germans. These Killing Squads were told to murder people and had done so willingly. They had found the most brutal ways to torture and murder the Jews of Eastern Europe and Asia.
Like a spider weaves its intricate web, Roald Dahl creates a vivid image of the human condition through meticulously crafted character choices in the short story “Lamb To The Slaughter”. The 1972 Olympics were supposed to show that Germany had changed as a country. They were supposed to be “The Happy Games” but instead are remembered for the massacre of the Israeli athletes. The Munich Massacre has changed how terrorism is dealt with in different countries and in the Olympics as a whole.
Her opinion may not fit other people's perspectives, but she has the power to say what she wants, which isn’t fair to other
Created September 25,1978 and ratified December 15, 179, the Bill of Rights was imputed into society as a tool to establish law, order, and morality. James Madison, a political theorist, was known as the father of the Bill of Rights. One of the most important amendments in the Bill of Rights is the right to freedom of speech, expression and media. In the Bill of Rights, the First Amendment states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” The First Amendment guarantees the citizens of America that they have the right to freely express themselves about anything, including political arguments and views. This amendment also guarantees the press/media the right to overtly publish their ideas on any topic in the newspaper. The purpose of this amendment is to assure America’s people that they shouldn’t worry about being censored or punished for the expression of their feelings because they are human just as everyone else.
Nowadays it is simple to pick up a prehistoric document, such as the declaration of independence, and judging it by saying how easy it must have been to write it, and establish it. However, the truth is that just like any successful achievement in life, there were many harsh times spent, and innocent lives lost, due to the result of a war needed for the freedom of the people. Back when Britain had immediate control of the thirteen colonies, many colonist felt like they were being unfairly taxed, and having their rights unfairly taken away from them. Therefore, they did what was necessary, overthrow British government.
Humanities is a very broad subject it covers from what our ancestors used as writing tools to the art and music they appreciated. In both of the videos in this unit the speakers gave a variety of examples, from education, personal skills, history in ancient Greek culture, and how our art has change throughout the years. Furthermore, one of the most interest topics that I found quite amusing was the history in the types of different cultures. There is so many types of cultures and practices around the world. This creates issues because sometimes we don’t understand our piers cultures, and we start judging. Understanding of Humanities can create a better perspective of how we see other cultures. Learning the history of other cultures can help us relate to people better. We live in south Florida which is the melting pot of cultures, we have people from all around the world, that’s why understanding the humanities in cultures can help us be more successful.
