The influences of global immigration have changed many things like cuisine, styles of music and entertainment, to Americans way of thinking. Now Americans accommodate their foreigners by writing their consumable items’ labels twice or more to accommodate different languages of immigrates and they have entire channels on T.V. dedicated to America’s immigrants. Accommodations could be better but they are one of the best in the world. Especially considering how many immigrates there are each year, “The Immigration and Naturalization Act (INA), the body of law governing current immigration policy, provides for an annual worldwide limit of 675,000 permanent immigrants.” There is no doubt that Americans are not only impacted critically on immigration economically, socially and other ways, but the United States is also being very accommodating to the almost a quarter of a million immigrants each year limit.

The Civil War, gender difficulties and immigration matters are just a few of the things that transformed the characteristics of a true American but there are so many more circumstances that explain what an American truly means. Throughout history events like the new immigration quotas, the McLaren Walter Act, and the creators of several large companies have all influenced the way Americans think and view themselves. In the past the America identity has been molded by certain events, no one knows what future affairs will come to change the American identity in the years to come.
