The main argument here is that the knowledge represents for me the basis of my values, from which I learned most things, which in return guided me to the other good values like the honesty, responsibility and accountability. I highly believe that the knowledge is the major source of all other good

Merriam-Webster defines knowledge as “the fact or condition of knowing something with familiarity gained through experience or association.” This definition of knowledge isn't really helpful because it attempts precision but doesn't arrive anywhere useful. How is knowledge different from knowing? The definition from the dictionary wanders through suggestions related to awareness, understanding, information, and cognition. Each of these terms are quite different from each other.That is why, when we say “Innovation”, understanding these terms becomes a necessity or we are going to have a vague understanding about innovation.

There are four fundamental patters of knowing in nursing that are distinguished according to logical type of meaning. The first fundamental pattern of knowing in nursing is empirical. It is described as factual, descriptive, and ultimately aimed at developing abstract, and theoretical explanations. It is exemplary, discursively formulated, and publicly verifiable.

Last September the UCF community made a promise to raise $820,000 For The Kids. On April 2, 2016 over 1,500 students stood for 20 hours at the 20th Annual Knight-Thon event. We became a million-dollar Miracle Network Dance Marathon raising a grand total of $1,001,678.20!

Towards the end of Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s Chronicles of a death foretold, the protagonist, a newly graduated student is sent to a small high school in Columbia to share with the hoi polloi the wisdom he gleaned through his years of research. He posed a rhetorical question that took the crowd by surprise. The protagonist was captivated by the knowledge world, a web crisscrossed by seemingly mystic - and dazzlingly complex - relationships. But he did put his finger on quite a puzzle: Why should one drill the walls of knowledge, if you end up hitting at the hard rocks of mysteries? After a moment of silence, the author himself answers this by saying that knowledge has the ability to lend itself understandable, while being intricate and mysterious.

The funds of knowledge, learning approach takes students’ “lived experiences and backgrounds as resources for learning in the classroom” (González, p. 24) Funds of knowledge are explained well in the articles “Funds of Knowledge for Teaching: Using a qualitative Approach to Connect Home and Classrooms” this articles by Moll, Amanti, Neff and Gonzalez talk a lot about how to use home visits to get to your students and to determine their funds of knowledge are and then incorporating them into math, science, history, and any other subject you can think of. The example the article used was the candy. Have the students compare American candy and its ingredients to the Mexican candy and its ingredients. It talked about how their funds of knowledge make the classroom learning more fun and engaging for the students since it directly applies and connects with them at a personal level.

Nozick’s analysis of knowledge states that S knows P if and only if (i) P is true (ii) S believes P (iii) if P weren’t true, then S would not believe P, and (iv) if P were true, then S would believe P. An example, presented by Harmon, involving a dictator’s death and whether somebody knows if the dictator was killed will be used to show how Nozick’s analysis is suppose to work. A separate example, presented by Kripke, involving a photon’s emission and whether the subject knows if a photon was emitted will be used to oppose Nozick’s analysis of knowledge. I believe that Kripke’s counterexample to Nozick’s analysis of knowledge does not successfully show that Nozick’s analysis fails and I will add my own condition to prove how Nozick’s analysis

There are three models from this section that I focused on because I strongly believed in them or I did not understand them very well and wanted to research the concepts. The first being the medical model. According to the medical dictionary, the medical model is defined “as a set of assumptions that views behavioral abnormalities in the same framework as physical disease or abnormalities.” (Medical Model 2015). I do not like this model as a future model of my practice because I like to follow the holistic approach and that all abnormalities are treated separately and that not everything persons are afflicted by is a disease. However, I can see how this would work for a TR professional in the medical field of work. Second, the person-centered model is a behavioral approach that encourages clients to focus on their current subjective understanding rather than on some unconscious motive or someone else 's interpretation of the situation. I believe this could improve the therapist/client relationship by the therapist coming off as warm, genuine and understanding, this model allows the client to be self-motivated and be guided by self-directed behavior and attitude.

In 399 BCE, one of the wisest men in history was put to death. This man was not only extremely wise, but also highly influential. He was a leader of the highest caliber. This is Socrates, arguably one of the most prominent men in philosophical history. Socrates is a figure of evolution, when referring to the way people think. He was sentenced to death by the Athenians for corrupting the youth, not believing in the gods recognized by the state, and for introducing supernatural beings. The Athenians were unjust in in their conviction and condemnation to death of Socrates because he helped the youth rather than corrupt it, attempted to abolish ignorance, and provided sufficient evidence of his wisdom.

“That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence”. Do you agree?

“Esse est percipi”. To be is to perceive, and to exist and to be perceived are one and the same. In the philosophical work of “A Treatise Concerning the Principles of Human Knowledge”, this one of the most famous principles which made Bishop George Berkeley one of the early modern period’s most acclaimed polymaths. Berkeley was a Bishop closely affiliated to the Anglican Church and a staunch critic of other philosophers of the past such as Rene Descartes and John Locke. Though initially impressed by their rigorous rhetoric, he could not bring himself to accept their views which were against his fundamental beliefs and which he viewed as flawed, leaning towards skepticism and atheism, two forces of the time which he was not fond of. Following his studies and extensive travels thereafter, his philosophy gradually developed. Berkley refuted the answers proposed by his predecessors, instead, advocating for pursuing concepts such as common sense and learning directly from what experience provided through the senses. Famously known to be a stalwart defender of the notion of “idealism”, or the view that reality consists exclusively of the mind, the spirit and its ideas, he promoted the belief of independent beings which were able to circumvent commonly held rationale to explain the unexplainable. Berkeley emphasized that given the acquaintance with our perceptions, the material world consequently was a mere representation of our spirits. In other words, no substance or permanence

Why is it that the modern world has either abandoned God or removed Him from the first position and why should we care? It seems to be a very heated debate when matters of religion and faith are discussed in the modern world. One needs to be able to step back and understand both sides of the argument to be able to acquire a satisfactory knowledge, and be able to debate intelligently one’s own position. It is through self-reliance and the scientific progress that man has made, that gives him a reason to discard or downgrade the importance of God. In addition, if the believers do not acquire a proper catechesis of one’s own faith, then they could be spreading erroneous teachings and driving people away from God and religion. Because of these factors, man has distanced himself from God, and it is through the instructions and examples of the Catholic Church that man can acquire the proper knowledge of God. With this knowledge man will come to a deeper understanding of life, the proper use of the goods in this life, and the holiness of a good death. This is the reason why we still need to seek and have a relationship with God and it is even more important today. It is interesting that, in a way, we are all responsible for leading people away from God.

Shelves in shopping malls are filled with many varieties of merchandise. Items are strategically placed in the aisles to capture our attention as we navigate through the store. As we are walking around this climate controlled, well-lit, consumer-friendly superstore, the people who generate these products are suffering in harsh conditions and working for minimal pay. The large corporations profit from each product purchase while their factories pollute the environment. What should a consumer be liable for while shopping? The ethical responsibility of an individual is to properly obtain product information and take the necessary actions in response to that knowledge. Instead of ignoring the negative repercussions

Ten pieces of knowledge I deem valuable. I chose very few specific historical facts, but instead tried to keep general since I believe that having a proper framework for analyzing history is much more important than merely giving facts

What is true knowledge? Is seeing really believing? Plato gives a great argument as to why our sense-perception of objects is not true knowledge of what we actually see. Also, the Allegory of the Cave comes hand in hand with the Divided Line and breaks down what true knowledge is in which Plato explains that true knowledge is; one, unchangeable and immutable and two, that true knowledge must be about what is real.
