A high school education is very important to everyone young or old. In the state of South Carolina there are approximately 495 high schools, 330 are public schools and the other 165 are private schools. A students high school experience must have a positive effect on their future’s outcome. Furthermore graduating from a high school can give students a wide range of opportunities in the job world. To begin with some cons, South Carolina was the only state who’s grade point average was on a 5.0 until recently of the year 2016 which it switch over to a 4.0. That made it kinda hard for some students who wanna to graduate but couldn’t because they couldn’t pass certain

It costs less. Missouri Souther has a lower tuition cost than the other schools do and I would be able to study in the areas I need to for my chosen career and I would still be able to get the required degrees, so I think that it would be good.
Students, like fish are attracted to bait. In the student's case education is our bait. Once we “bite” down though we’re trapped in the world of learning. Even with this said schools such as Sebring High School has many benefits for the students that make the overall school environment better. These benefits include the many sports students can join, the IB program and Avid program, and the SFSC program.
High school is one of the most important things to a student's life. It is the foundation
Carolina High School, located in Greenville County, was established during the 1956-1957 school year as a 9th-12th grade public high school. With fourteen high schools in the district and over 72,000 students, Carolina High is the smallest. In 1995, Carolina High was selected as a magnet school where Pre-Engineering and Health Professions would be its focus and students from all over the school district could apply. At its peak enrollment, the school served over 1300 students but after the changes the community faced and closing of the local mills, enrollment dropped and today it serves a little over 700 students. According to the 2010 Census, the community that Carolina serves has an average per capita income of $36,296 and a quarter of the families in the area reported an income of less than $15,000 per year. Over 20% of the population reported to have a single mother raising children in the home and 44% are considered renters instead of homeowners.

Attending high schools should be more than just exposing students to a structured curriculum. High school should also be a place where students are allowed to think outside of the box. Schools should inspire creativity, sparks curiosity, and fuels ambition.
A disadvantage is that this proposal is a short-term solution to a long-term problem. Since the school has increases in operating costs every year. Therefore, the college has to generate additional profits to offset these costs.
I agree that Latinos and African American tend to be in high poverty schools throughout the country. This is a social problem that is part of our society that is limiting the potential of these two minority groups to suceed in life. The federal government provides supports to low income families such as food stamps, free or reduced lunches, supplemental income, etc. By doing this it is leveling the field to support the minorities groups enabling them to move foward. I am Latino and I feel that even though we have segragation in our school system in our country I truly belief that it is up to the individual to overcome this obstacle by been persistent, dedicated, and opstimic to pursue higher education obtaining a college degree.
Spartanburg High is not what you think it can be as an eighth grader. If I knew this when I was in the 8th grade my freshman year could have been a lot better especially if I knew my way around the building more. I could also know about the requirements here at Spartanburg High such as the academics, behavior and the attendance. If I could warn upcoming 8th graders about the life at Spartanburg High, I would have mainly warn them about the requirements at the school, the building structure and also the involvement in school sports and clubs.

In “Serve or Fail,” Dave Eggers dissatisfies the phenomenon that although college students have too much leisure, they are not willing to give a few hours doing community services. Eggers suggests that colleges should consider instituting a service requirement for graduation, and colleges are best-poised to create in their students a lifelong commitment to volunteering. He pointed out that there are even programs done by colleges and high schools in order to gain more than two million volunteer hours a year. Owning a lot of time, Being mature and able to handle wide range of tasks, and receiving the opportunity to discover a potential career, make Eggers believes that college students are uniquely suited to do volunteer work. Eggers admits
Basic life skills are defined as psychosocial abilities for adaptive and positive behavior that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges for everyday life (UNICEF). Taking that into consideration, high school students should be presented with the opportunity to take basic life skills courses within their high school career. In a way, it is ridiculous that basic life skills are not offered as a course in high school being that the students are there to get an education. It would be sensible if education was a combination of excelling in classes and life.
