Food habits is about what food we eat, how we eat and why we eat it, depending of several factors linked to establish patterns and different manners across cultures. On the other hand, dietary behaviors are generally associated with dietary patterns related to selecting low-fat diets, which are not always related to good eating habits. With this in mind, people who make any kind of low fat diet, should be aware in when their eating habits and their dietary behavior are working in the same way to have a healthier nutrition and when not.
The way the how humans use food and how the food is selected, obtained and spread to who prepare it, define their Food Habits. People often are flexible to live in many locations even when they have to adapted to other cultures with different food habits, which has caused a multiplicity of food habits in diverse groups of people, whether of different or equal cultures, religions or countries their belong. (Sentence too long.) For example, the Mediterranean diet is abundant in vegetables, chickpeas, lentils and legumes, as well as fresh herbs. Traditional dishes use lean meats such as fish and chicken, over heavier red meats which can be higher in saturated fat. People in France also rarely eat fast food and highly processed foods from supermarkets, which are often high in calories and low in nutrition. Traditional Japanese food, such as sushi, is low in saturated fats, high in fiber and packed with vitamins, minerals and omega-3s from the fresh fish. The nutritious staple of rice is filling, while tofu and seaweed are full of protein. Seaweed is also rich in zinc, antioxidants and vitamins A and C.
Eating Habits in The United States can vary from coast to coast. To give an illustration of what that means, let’s talk about Midwest Region, West region, East region and South region.
The Midwest is the region where people eat more beef and corn people in Unite States, “Three of the top five beef-producing states—Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma—are in the Midwest.
