Renewable energy provides energy from sources such as solar, hydropower, wind, and biomass which will never deplete. In addition, the energy is not non-renewable things like fossil fuels, so it can be replenished. Therefore, people have been studied renewable energy and Renewable energy is now being used is some places. There are might be some People who believe that it will not play a big role in the future because they think using renewable energy is expensive and it will not replace the non-renewable energy. However, Renewable energy will have huge effects on our future, especially in future economies. The energy can energize the rural community, help government, and increase job opportunities.
First of all, Renewable Energy activates rural community. Basically, renewable energy has been said to be beneficial to the environment, but the energy also benefits on people’s societies. The Wind is one of the most available renewable energy sources, it can improve and expand the rural community. Originally, a single engine is a normal economy in farms, it decreases harvests and degrades wheat prices. However, farms are growing and their harvest getting as wind energy develops. For example, Winds makes farms earn profit easily because farmers can harvest crops even in a little land (Renewable Northwest). In addition, Wind energy also makes people earn money even in the winter (Hilderbrand). Moreover, it can reduce economics disparity between rural and urban because a society
Energy is an important part of life producing the power of movement, heat, and production of electricity in many different ways. Therefore, choosing the correct source of energy is important for the environment and humans. Renewable energy that produces electricity never runs out, causing a lower environmental impact. Solar, Biomass, Wind, Geothermal, and Hydropower energy should be used globally to produce electricity. On the other hand, producing electricity from nonrenewable energy sources can be very harmful to humans and the environment. Humans can easily be dependent on it, which may not be the best option when it comes to finance, efficiency, sustainability and more. Approximately 52% of the US electricity comes from polluting sources like natural gas, oil, nuclear, and hydropower that have a lot of disadvantages effecting the environment in a negative way.
An important role of them is to generate energy from natural resources, for instance solar thermal. It is a solar water heater that uses the power of the sun to heat water thus reducing the amount of gas or electricity required. In fact, according to Education Scotland, solar power plants in Spain have generated 3 gigawatts of power which represents 2.8% of Spain’s energy needs (Solar – Renewable Energy, 2016). There are many renewable energy technologies that can prevent acid rain, urban smog, pollution and the burning of coal. Canada has improve on its uses of fossil fuel, the uses of renewable energy grew from 2% to 11% (Healing, 2016). Therefore, if using renewable energy sources will give us the luxurious of being able to have electricity, heat our homes, transport, and protect the environment, then why not use it.
In the 1960’s and 1970’s a movement regarding the physical environment began, this movement focused on a few environmental issues and disasters caused directly or indirectly by pollution. As the years progressed, this movement grew into a multifaceted activist movement gaining more attention in the US, more often referred as “Environmentalism” or “Environmental Activism”. As the human race realized the physical environment is fragile and thus must be protected, scientists started to look for more efficient and ecologically safe energy sources. The introduction of renewable energy brought to light all of these issues, giving a viable alternative for the nation’s energy future, implementing resources that are naturally replenished and also, eco-friendly.
The switch to clean energy in the United States and around the world is a difficult necessity that must be met within the subsequent five to six decades. The prolonged use of damaging fossil fuels and other unsustainable forms of energy are greatly damaging the planet. These sources of non-renewable energy are bound to run out in the following century. Millions of square kilometers of Arctic ice has melted so far, the sea level is rising, and the CO2 levels present in the atmosphere are drastically increasing (Chang). The transition to renewable energy must be met; however, this is not a process possible to achieve overnight. This change will require an extensive amount of resources and time but will reap many benefits to the users of this growing technology.
Renewable energy is considered an environmental friendly way of producing energy; according to http://www.renewableenergyworld.com/index/tech.html, “in contrast, the many types of renewable energy resources-such as wind and solar energy-are constantly replenished and will never
Audience Motivation: We all live on the same planet and should be educated on what is really going on here.
Renewable energy has the power to solve climate change, nuclear proliferation, energy insecurity, and energy poverty.
Generating and supplying more green energy in the US can have a big impact in the environment and in our economy. With more green energy resources a big amount disasters that affect our environment can be reduced. Such disasters include oil spills, nuclear leaks and the emission of harmful pollutants. Electric power plants are one of the biggest contributors to pollution in the country due to the amount of carbon and sulfur dioxides that are released into the air. Carbon dioxide emitted into the air is confirmed to contribute to global warming and sulfur dioxide causes acid rain, which can kill plants and animals in lakes and rivers. In comparison, green energy is generated in much more natural and harmless methods that don’t affect our environment. Renewable energy wind, solar, geothermal, hydroelectric, and biomass provides substantial benefits for our climate, and our health.
These energy also can help people by giving them job opportunities! The plants the consume these energy are quite large, so they can provide jobs for millions of people. "Renewable sources can cost less than consuming the local electrical supply. The price of electricity is expected to soar since they are based on the price of crude oil, so renewable sources can cut your electricity bills. The cost of setting these plants to consume energy can be very costly, they are usually then million up to billions. The energy from the sun, which is called solar energy, cannot be consumed at night time or raining seasons, but can be only used at sunny days. Summer is the best these solar panels can perform. Hydroelectric is collecting electricity from water. Building a dam is super expensive, and can also affect wild life and affect natural river flow. To consume wind energy, the building site has to be where there are strong winds, often by the ocean, or between two mountains. It can also affect the bird population, because they are really
I am submitting this proposal to provide some information on the long term effects of increasing demand for renewable energy. In this paper you will find information on how reducing the cost of energy can help economic growth and reduce the cost to maintain our standard of living.
In recent years, the use of renewable energy to replace fossil fuels to generate electricity has become an important topic of discussion around the world. As there are numerous drawbacks to using fossil fuels, such as global warming and air pollution, some people suggest that it is high time considering generating electricity by renewable energy on a large scale. Renewable energy mainly includes sunlight, wind, tides, waves, biomass and geothermal heat. In 2012 and 2013, renewable energy contributed 22 percent to our global electricity generation (Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21st Century, 2014) and this shows that renewable energy only provides a small part of electricity generation. In this essay, both the advantages and disadvantages of using renewable energy to generate electricity will be discussed. The essay will demonstrate that despite the disadvantages of using renewable energy, its development is an unavoidable trend because our
Although the United States has come a long way in the field of Renewable Energy, there are still major roadblocks in the way of a national shift to clean energy. Renewable energy made up only 12% of US energy production in 2016, while The three major fossil fuels—petroleum, natural gas, and coal—accounted for 78%, showing there is still a long way to go (eia.gov). This has been a particularly arduous year for environmentalist and renewable energy companies alike as there have been major political strides against clean energy. Bills, Executive Orders, and new laws have slowed the progress that Renewable Energy has been making in recent years.
Renewables provide several benefits for people in poverty. For one, new jobs would be created inside the countries installing and maintaining the systems. Renewables such as solar panels could be easily implemented in rural areas without the need to invest in expensive transmission lines. Essentially, renewables could easily bring electricity to impoverished people in a very short amount of
Renewable energy may seem like a daunting task, but the benefits to humanity could be incredible. Public uses of renewable energy range from transportation all the way to heating and cooling. Everything we use could become less explosive and less expensive. Cities with a high concentration of people could become safer and healthier places to live. Transportation could be converted to electricity dramatically, improving smog conditions. Global warming may or may not
The other benefit of renewable energy is that these energies have been found to be non-polluting and therefore halt global warming. This is very good news for us as a species because according to many simulations of the future,
