Environmentalism and the impact of environmental issues on the domestic and foreign policy of the United States Environmentalism impacts many different aspects of life. There are many different ways to look at environmentalism, as the planet faces many different issues revolving around nature and how it can impact human life in a certain way. Humans can impact environmentalism in a heavy aspect, which is why there needs to be a domestic and foreign policy surrounding such a matter. Environmentalism is a different way of thinking in which people try to care more about the planet and the long term survival of earth. People should realize that the environment has its own value that needs to be protected, because after all humans rely greatly on the environment for many things. The more people change the way they look at the environment and try and increase the environment in many ways, the better life will be for people, and also the environment can also start healing a lot sooner than it was doing before. If people don’t start taking action, the environment will not start be healed as soon as it should be and the environment could in result decline. There are two main ways of environmental thought. The first type is anthropocentric which means human centered. The second type is biocentric, which means life centered. Anthropocentric essentially focuses on the negative effects that environmental degradation has on human beings and their interests, including their interests in health, recreation, and quality of life. (Elliott 2017) It mainly wants to explain the moral obligations that humans should have towards nature, and that it should somewhat relate to relations humans between humans, because the environment needs to be preserved for the future. If the environment is mistreated now, then in the future the environment could decline drastically. If humans don’t start taking action now from a moral standpoint, then maybe twenty or thirty years down the road, there are going to be certain environmental consequences. On
