Racism is a widely discussed topic, and everyone agrees that it is something that only causes harm. People with racist views can view others from other groups as people who are lesser than them and might use physically actions to show their dislike. In response to that, more and more people are having their own ideas of how to identify and end racism. For example, Kwame Anthony Appiah who brought out the idea of extrinsic racism, the perspective of utilitarianism, and the Kantian ethic are views that show why racism is wrong and how it can be ended.

The holocaust, or Shoah was a systematic, planned program of genocide to exterminate all Jews. This government based program was carried out by Hitler, and its allies in the Nazi army during world war two. Approximately 6 million Jews were killed, and if the murder of the Romani, Soviet civilians and prisoners, the disabled, homosexuals, and others who apposed to Hitler’s religious, political and social views were counted, this number would be more like 11 to 17 million. The holocaust is generally described with two periods, 1933-1939, and 1939-1945, the end of WWII.

All in all, we have an obligation to end racism due to its negative effects and consequences. The ideal form of constitutional rights has dismantled itself amongst the division of race. Now that minorities are becoming the majority, it is necessary for everyone to obtain every right found in the constitution. It is all built on hatred and abhorrence. The beliefs of people based on their religions and how they were raised are often very focused on what they were taught when they were young. As they age, they do not choose to move forward and attempt to learn more about others and the world around them (McVeigh, 2004). During the rule of the German Nazis, many killings took place amongst the Jews. The Nazis would make experiments on the Jews as a means to kill them in large quantities. Some experiments could consist of surgical approaches or gas. Also, many deaths were caused by lack of food and water. Disease played a huge factor as well. The Jews would contract horrible diseases and be sent to an infirmary where they would ultimately die. Dr. Mengele, one of the main masterminds behind the killings, conducted many deadly experiments on the Jews. The Holocaust brought on numerous killings in ways of starvation, disease and experimentation.

It is a worldwide problem that must get resolved. Now there are some people who will disagree with me. They might say that there’s no big deal. That even though they are racist or prejudice that they aren’t hurting anybody. But, when you think about it, that is not true at all. For example, let’s talk about the Holocaust and Hitler. Hitler was very racist. He thought the Germans were the best and was bias towards the Jews. So he decided to make camps and murder millions of innocent people. The Holocaust started in the 1933, when the Nazis and Adolf Hitler took power in Germany. The Holocaust from the Greek words “holos” (whole) and “kaustos” (burned) cause chaos and tragedy for Jewish people. At this time Germany was a nation with a Jewish population of 566,000 people. Nazis thought that they were the most inferior race and no other race was better than the Aryan race. Racism, prejudice, and anti semitism don’t belong in this world. You can take them out, with the help of just a few people. As a group, advocate against these things. Start a club

We can fight racism and discrimination, too. Not with violence, but with love, just like Martin Luther King Jr. We can raise awareness about discrimination, and stand up to racists D11. If everyone stood up to racists who act upon their beliefs, and explain why what they’re doing is wrong, and if they listen, that would almost take care of the problem all on its own C3. The act would snowball; getting bigger and bigger, and might eventually stop racism with everyone working together in harmony

Evidence shows that around 49% of Americans think racism is a big problem. This means they are affected by racism themselves, or they see it take place, and this needs to be stopped.
