My son and I haven’t had the best life, his father has not been around for a very long time, and ever since people found out that he is the “seed of Cain,” they treated him horribly and did not see how good of a boy he was. I could tell Grendel was getting tired of the way he was being treated because all the goodness that was once in him was no longer there, he soon started lurking in the shadows, like you might consider a “monster” to do. I always wanted more for him, more friends, and to be well liked. Although Grendel and I never had the best life I always tried to be kind to him and show him what he may have to do to survive our way of living and what it would take for people to stop looking down on him. Beowulf soon came up with a plan for him and his warriors to take down my only son, and to do so they had to trick him. They all laid in the mead hall sleeping, once Grendel entered he grabbed one man and killed him, all seemed to be fine until he got to Beowulf. My son realized that once he grabbed Beowulf he was awake, and that he has actually been waiting for him and that he is way stronger than all the other men that he has ever dealt with before. He soon realized that this is where it ends, this would be the end to all the killing he has committed over the years and was beginning to question whether or not it was all worth it. Beowulf began to realize that Grendel has put a spell on himself to block all swords from harming him, so instead Beowulf decides to rip his arm off which causes him to bleed to death, but before that happened Grendel ran back home to tell me what had just occurred and that he wished he didn’t care what all those people thought of him
