The great Gatsby Task
Rationale
With my written task I would like to explore one of the parts of the book of which the narrator does not talk about. Those who will be mentioned in this gap will be two of the main characters: Jordan Baker and Jay Gatsby.
Being a fill-the-gap kind of writing piece the text type is gonna be a short story.
The reason why I chose to fill this gap is due the empty feeling who got triggered in me making me feel incomplete and unfulfilled while reading the chapter.
Even though the writer does explain what happened while Jordan talked with Gatsby, I felt compelled to write something about it anyway.
Intended for people like me, my writing aims to ordinary readers, such as students or anyone who reads for pleasure.

“[…] Mr. Gatsby would like to speak with to you alone.”
“With me?” she exclaimed in surprise.
“Yes, madame.”
As I slowly crossed the flight of steps wondering what was going to happen, the butler led me upstairs inviting me to enter the study. I desperately searched for a look from Nick, who was already searching around for someone to talk with.
Big bookshelves on the walls were making seem the wooden desk a little piece of furnishing.
It took a while for my eyes to get used to the dark in the room and after a bunch of seconds the door was closed and the homeowner was sitting in the expensive chair.
“So, you must be Jordan, right?” he said slowly, trying to hide a certain emotion; stress, maybe.
“Yes, I do am. I was wondering about this strange call. If I did someth..” I have been cut by his words.
“Yes, yes. No, don’t worry; you are a valued guest, my dear.” he quickly answered before even letting me finish what I was about to say.
“Sorry, I’m confused..” once again he interrupted me.
“Jeeves.” he said calmly, talking to no

While he was leaving the room we both sat down being quite for a minute or two, not saying a word.
“James Gatz. It’s a pleasure to meet you.. and your friend.”
“James Gatz? I thought your name was Jay Gatsby..” I asked interested.
“Well, it was. You’ll understand once I will tell you the reason why you are here at the moment, my dear.” he quickly said, as if that was the answer he was waiting for.
“Daisy Fay; I dream of her since we had to end our
After conducting a through investigation on the author of the Great Gatsby, Scott Fitzgerald, one may say that the protagonist of this novel is a very clore representation of the author, himself. There are numerous and meaningful similarities between Jay Gatsby and Scott Fitzgerald's life, and all of them are far from being coincidence.
“Thank you for having me. It’s a real pleasure to meet you folks. I’ve been following your progress here, it’s all very impressive,” Edward said.
He heard Sterling slam the door to the room and begin to talk to someone outside. After a moment of so the door opened again. There was a brief pause before the door slammed shut again and footsteps began to approach.
Jinki thought for a moment, but he knew right away why they were there. But he played along. “Yes, that would be me.”
The Great Gatsby is a novel that is about the rich people of the roaring twenties and in particularly about a man named Gatsby in search of the American dream. The story starts out with the narrator Nick Carraway moving from the west (Chicago) to a New York suburb called West Egg. His is trying to become a successful bond salesman. Just across the bay is where his cousin Daisy Buchanan and her husband Tom Buchanan live. But right next door is where the main character Jay Gatsby lives in a huge house, where every weekend he holds an enormous party. In the beginning Nick goes to the Buchanan mansion. There he meats Jordan Baker(a pro golfer) and he also learns that Tom is having an affair. Next Nick and Tom go to The garage where Tom tells
He looked in my direction, surprised, then he smiled. “Yes, I’ll explain everything, don’t worry. This won’t take a long time, I suppose.”
I decided to look at the main protagonist in the novel and give his perspective on the happenings in the form of a diary entry. The goal of the written task for me is to create a better understanding of Jay Gatsby. Writing
• This novel is narrated from a first person point of view. Nick Carraway is both a narrator and a character participant in the story. Seen that this novel is mostly about Jay Gatsby and how what happens to his life is narrated to represent general themes, there could be no other narrator than the character who is Gatsby’s neighbor, and someone who declares to be free of any preconceptions or
“Let me finish. I want to know what you do know, whatever it might be, and I want you to tell me everything you were doing at the time of the murder.”
“Is this your dorm?” I couldn’t quite stamp out the budding curiosity I had to uncover the mysteries of my goddess.
“Yes, of course. It’s just been a shock meeting Miles and Bass. I’m not really sure Danny and I belong here,” she explained, dropping her voice as she looked up at him from under her lashes.
"What's your name?" He asked in a serious and low tone. I didn't know how to reply. What's he going to do with me. His brow quivered impatiently.
“Ok, but you seem to be afraid of something,” Harold said in a concerned voice.
“I'm not surprised at all about that. Well, it was truly a pleasure meeting you. If you have any questions about anything, don't hesitate to give me a call. Anytime, day or night.”
He stopped walking suddenly, as if I’d done something wrong. “You don’t remember…?” He spoke clearly like he wanted my absolute full attention.
