The definition of Dystopia is an imaginary world in which things are horrific, unpleasant, and bad. “The Giver”, “Fahrenheit 451”, and our society all have many faults and things that make each very unpleasant and not enjoyable for the people living in the societies. “The Giver” takes place in a community in which people cannot see color and cannot feel emotions. The people do not realize how much they’re missing out on, as they are clueless, and they live shallow and meaningless lives. “Fahrenheit 451” takes place in a world in which books are banned, and knowledge is discouraged. The people don’t want to expand their views or their knowledge and they all live unhappy and hollow lives. Our society gives each person more choices to each individual citizen, but with choice comes consequence. People can be happy in our society and live fruitful lives, but many are not as enthusiastic about life as many …show more content…

Due to this, our world is very different than the two dystopian settings that both “The Giver” and “Fahrenheit 451” take place in. Each world has different views on how they should run their community, and as a result, the people in charge have to make choices in order to make their home a better place. These actions that the leaders are forced to make have many positive consequences, but at the same time, many negative consequences. These negative consequences can negatively impact societies more than the positives impact society and this can lead to downfalls in society as we in “Fahrenheit 451”. If we do not support and encourage the growth in each other to be ourselves our society will crumble. The ignorance that we have created from lack of learning, growing and communicating with people with one another will negatively impact our futures and will bring down
