As Americans we should all be afforded access to healthcare. Access to healthcare is an individual right according to the human rights amendment. The human right to health guarantees a system of health protection for all. The human right to health means that everyone has the right to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health, which includes access to all medical services, sanitation, adequate food, decent housing, healthy working conditions and a clean environment (What is the Human Right to Health and Health Care, 2015). However there are strengths and weaknesses to every healthcare system and the U.S. Healthcare system is not exempt. I plan to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the U. S. Healthcare system (What is the Human Right to Health and Health Care, 2015).

In order for one to understand American Constitutional law, one must first look to the Constitution; and therefore, look to the federal government established in the Constitution. The federal government is purposefully divided into three branches: the legislative branch that makes the laws, the judicial branch that interprets the laws, and the executive branch that puts the laws into effect. Article VI, Clause 2, sets up the Constitution as “the supreme Law of the Land;” and therefore, legislators, judges, and presidents must comply with the standards set in the Constitution. In the eighteenth century, our Founding Fathers risked their lives and the lives of their families to deliver a statement to the empire of Great Britain and the entire world. The document they created was viewed as treason by the British government and had they failed in their great plight for independence they would have lost everything, including their lives. Whereas the Founding Fathers declared independence from the British Empire, a student can declare independence, or at least move towards independence, from something so central to student life: grades.

Thomas Jefferson states in the Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and pursuit of Happiness..” The Declaration of Independence and The Speech in Virginia Convention, both provide reasonable arguments that the King of Great Britain should not be trusted, for instance the King is not benefiting the public like he should, secondly he made people not trust him by the actions he took to his own colonists, and lastly the king is giving unfair trials to the colonists.

When in the course of human events, it is a great travesty and woe when a time comes for a child to dissolve the family ties to his or her parents, the ones that have supported them in this world. However, it becomes a necessary action when parents begin to over-manipulate their children, or become controlling in a way which suffocates. It would be a disrespectful act to assume such things without facts and evidences demonstrative of the necessity of these children’s action of separating from the control their parents hold.

What led to The Declaration of Independence to be made? While researching about The Declaration of Independence, I found information on some circumstances that surrounded one of the primary writers of the historical document, Thomas Jefferson, to fight for freedom. He was in charge of writing the draft of the document to justify its freedom for the thirteen colonies from the king of Great Britain, King George III (1738-1820). My goal in this paper is to give some reasons for the cause of this document and show the differences between the ruling of the king and Jefferson’s way of freedom. In the beginning of the declaration, it states why the colonies wanted to overthrow the leader and become its own government.

Having independence in your own life is great but it comes with major responsibilities. Once you leave the comfort of your parents house everything will start to sink in. Because until you leave know one really knows what's to come. The responsibilities are too much to even think about let alone figure them out. With the responsibilities comes independence and with independence comes freedom to live your life how you want when you want.

The Declaration of Independence is one amongst the elemental documents that arranged the inspiration to the United States and its additional development. How can this nation claim that all are created equal and have a right to life when they deny healthcare to those who cannot afford it? This issue has come on the scene relatively soon, having only truly been discussed beginning in the early 20th century. Since that time, a fear of socialism stemming from tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union throughout the century has placed a stigma on the concept of universal health care because it is similar to the Soviet’s socialized medicine. In recent years, President Obama made great strides toward universal health care by passing the Affordable Care Act, but some would argue that while America is on the right track, more can be done to care for the nation’s poor. Others argue that the economic impact of such policies could cause problems for America. Though creating a universal health care system has complex logistical and economic consequences, health care is an internationally acknowledged human right and should not be denied to the American people.

In 1776 Thomas Jefferson, arguably wrote the most important document in the history of the United States of America. On behalf of the Continental congress, Thomas Jefferson drafted the Declaration of Independence, a document that explained the infringements of the British monarchy had on the colonies. In 1776, Thomas Jefferson drafted a document that declared its independence from Great Britain and the United States of America was created, a nation that would stand on its own.

“In 2010, Congress enacted the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act in order to increase the number of Americans covered by health insurance and decrease the cost of health care” (Supreme Court Opinion, 1). In America, it is a basic necessity to possess health care, logically, Congress would like to make such a necessity more accessible to Americans. Due to a divided government, there are variant views on whether this is necessary and just. Health care benefits all Americans; it is just a matter of if the policy of a required national health care is beneficial.

The U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence are two very important documents in the founding of our nation. This essay compares how these two documents are linked together, but also how they are clearly different. Though both documents were created near the same time, the Declaration of Independence was actually written first. It was written by Thomas Jefferson and was adopted by congress on July 4, 1776, what we know today as Independence Day. The U.S constitution though, was not adopted until eleven years later in 1787. After these two documents were written, Thomas Jefferson wrote a letter to the Danbury Baptists in 1801.

The right to health care should be considered a civil right. People should not be discriminated against for being sick. Americans who are ill should not have to make the choice between financial ruin or paying for the medical treatments they need to stay alive. Coverage of all Americans would best counter or contain the spreading of epidemics such as the H1N1 flu (swine flu) or smallpox. (ProCon.org 2013, April 12).

Another benefit associated with free health care system is that it preserves life as it ensures free treatment to the entire citizens despite their financial status. Apparently, the life of a human being is sacred and incomparable with any amount of money. It is unethical for an individual to die due to lack of finance. As stated by Obama, the United States is known to have the most skilled doctors and healthcare facilities in the world (526). Ironically, the two third of the Americans have no access to health insurance cover, meaning, they cannot afford to get the health services from the best doctors and the best facilities in the country. To protect life and to avoid unnecessary deaths of the innocent citizens, free access to medical services should be a distinct system to be employed in the United States of America.

The Declaration of Independence, completed and signed in July of 1776, marked the official separation between the 13 colonies and Great Britain.
