The first industrial revolution took place in Britain from 1750 to 1850. This all started because Britain had plenty of money and plenty resources. The first industrial revolution brought growth to several different industries during this time. There was in increase the the industries like iron, textiles, and coal. These were booming during this time. In this period people worked largely in fields and did a lot of manual labour. This made goods expensive because things were hand made and crafted, but also things took a long time to be made. Farming methods needed to be improved for quicker economical growth. The agricultural revolution set a stage for the industrial revolution. New technology was the biggest factor. Sources of energy were beginning to be harnessed in different ways, iron was improving and all in all people were starting to develop new technologies and business owners needed to change the way that work was being done. …show more content…

An example of an important inventor is James Watt. He is named as the “Father of the Industrial Revolution” (Ellis 610) he created the steam engine, and it helped bring mass transportations to goods that was needed. The steam engine was the start of the trains that we now have today. They are efficient and not only transport goods but also people safely to where they need to go. Another invention made during this time was the spinning mule. It was created by Samuel Crompton and was a combination of the spinning Jenny and Arkwright's water frame. What it did was spin the yarn into fabric and it made the production of clothes a lot
