The two posters, despite being intended for the same purpose, depict women in particularly contrasting light. Analysis of the contrasting war posters can help illustrate society’s perspective about women during the early 1900’s, their expected roles pertaining to the war effort, the strategies used to engage citizens and encourage them to become involved, and the use of imagery and symbolism that were used to achieve the posters’ objective.

Andrew wrote about how our views for our flag and patriotism is different for every person but, our respect and our honor need to be a constant of our different views as part of our responsibility as American citizens. Andrew believes that this respect and honor needs to extend to eliminate our prejudice actions and disrespect to the various races in America, specifically native americans.
Exodus and Deuteronomy are very similar in many aspects. They both include the Decalogue of the 10 commandments and with only minor differences. The only major difference is the wording of the commandment of keeping the sabbath day holy. In Deuteronomy it states, “You shall remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out thence with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the sabbath day” (Deuteronomy 5:15). Deuteronomy includes the slaves when keeping the sabbath day holy, because the Israelites were once slaves before Moses led them out of slavery.

With such an expansive history in Connecticut, the subject of tobacco is just as encompassing. With roots in Windsor colonial history through its height in the 1950s, sources try to capture it all at a surface level. Scholars have studied tobacco over time evaluating its role in the community at that moment in time. Over a variety of sources, overall the response to tobacco in Windsor has been positive as it serves as both an economic influence and a cultural one as well. Starting at one of the most recent sources, Brianna Dunlap looks at the entire Connecticut River valley as the backdrop as Connecticut’s tobacco industry in Connecticut Valley Tobacco. Published in 2016, Dunlap captures tobacco’s history starting at its roots in the 1600s through Cuba’s reopening trade ports in 2015. This book serves to establish Windsor’s connection with tobacco and how it changed over time to match the changing landscape around the tobacco sheds.
Tobacco use also correlates with the amount of milk a mother is able to produce. According to Lisa Amir and Susan Donath “nicotine levels in breastmilk of women who smoke are almost three times higher than the level in the mother’s blood”. That quotes shows how tobacco use will affect the mother as well as the child when its born. A mother’s milk is a major component for the child to continue to receive nutrients after they are birthed. Therefore for a mother to use tobacco use while pregnant will cause issue. Likewise, tobacco use affects the placenta for example, “ Smoking can cause problems with the placenta—the source of the baby 's food and oxygen during pregnancy. For example, the placenta can separate from the womb too early, causing bleeding, which is dangerous to the mother and baby” (Tobacco use and pregnancy. Web). That quotes proves

While pregnant women who smoke cigarettes on a daily basis can greatly harm their fetus. There are many effects that cigarettes smoking by pregnant women have on their fetus. As researches show that smoking can induce spontaneous abortion too. The Tabaco smoke in cigarettes greatly reduces fetal growth through the presence of nicotine, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen cyanide. Through this research, “if women smoke during pregnancy, their baby is exposed to harmful chemicals such as tar, nicotine, and carbon monoxide. Nicotine causes blood vessels to constrict, so less oxygen and nutrients reach the fetus. Carbon monoxide decreases the amount of oxygen the baby receives” (Medline plus). A good mother should protect their unborn babies because when a pregnant mother smokes, their babies smoke too. Also Smoking while pregnant reduces an unborn baby’s oxygen, this place at risk for poor lung function, and low birth weight. According to this research of pregnant women who smoke cigarettes “the risk of preterm birth and problems with the way the placenta attaches to the uterus are increases in women who smoke during pregnancy. Also, infants born to women who smoke during pregnancy tend to be smaller than those born to nonsmokers. They are more likely to have asthma, colic, and childhood obesity. They also have an increased risk of dying from sudden infant

Despite the arguments declared, there are many citizens in today's society who feels that the production and sale of cigarettes can help boost up a country's economy. Due to high taxes paid for cigarettes, more cash from sales of the product would go to the importing country instead of the producing country. Sequentially, the purchase of cigarettes can be controlled and reduced at the same time. However, only a minority of individuals would quit smoking and enjoy a healthy life. On the contrary, the majority of smokers would continue to linger in the pleasures of smoking without taking into consideration of the price as they are addicts of cigarettes.
