Rewind back to the early ancient history, religion is one the first concept that human acknowledged. From the beginning religion was based on nature. Deities was all related with natural phenomenons. For example the God of rain, the Mother of earth, or the God of the sun. The need of religion back then was very simple. They have problems and religion was invented to solve what they asked for. If there is drought, they would ask the deity for water and rains. As the agriculture has developed, the need of religion has increased. People had power and wanted to control it, so they used religion as a powerful tool to convince people. For example the relationship between churches and the British government in early centuries. The church used to have power to decide almost every political move, like execution. Religion in many other countries also have been used to control people like in England, so there were many people from lower levels felt obstructive and they needed freedom. America was the place for them to come to get their freedom, so it created diversity in religion of America. As the name United States can be explained that the country is assemblage of many races and nationalities come and live together spread out in fifty states of America. Each of race and culture has their own identity. For example in Western culture they believe that every person only has one chance to live, and death is the end for one life, but in Eastern culture they
Religion has impacted humans in a way. Influencing humans in their beliefs and values. Both the Greeks and Romans were polytheistic they believed that there were many Gods who controlled all parts of human life. The Greek origin of mythology is not known. The Greeks were before the Romans. The Romans stole most Greek beliefs. Both truly believed the Earth had a soul. Both took part in sacrifices and rituals to please the Gods. Both believed in many Gods who were the same Gods in a sense. The Greek Gods were based upon human personality traits. Such as honor, love, hatred, and dignity. Romans based their Gods on objects and not traits. The Greeks tried their best to focus on their physical life on earth rather than their afterlife. The Romans
Religion can invade, conquer, and rule masses of people far more effectively and efficiently than any empire or conqueror. This is not to spark a heated discussion about religions. Its purpose is, to say that, even though it is highly debatable whether religions are false or true, most of them serve a very basic purpose of establishing morals and values. Early religions were used as a source of power and economic growth. Even if one doesn’t believe in or agree with the teachings of any religion, history shows proof that it creates a sense of order. There are many religions in the past that have brought order and civilized conduct to large numbers of people, not through military conquest, but through the promise of reward or the fear of punishment. Religion is the glue that binds local communities into nationhood and creates common understandings and shared values that are essential to the growth of a civilization. No religion is fully formed at its start, so why did some religion play such a big role in growth of the Ancient Civilizations.
Religion has been around since the discovery of America. Many European immigrants came to America to escape the traditions of the Church of England. The people wanted religious freedom. Most, however, tried to force their religious beliefs on the people who came to settle in their colonies creating a divide. It wasn’t until The Great Awakening, which started in the New England colonies, occurred that people rose up and revolted against the norms of religion and began to worship the way they wanted to. This divisive time period greatly impacted the American colonies by allowing true religious freedom to all the people.
Hedy Lamarr was born Hedwig Maria Eva Kiesler in Vienna, Austria on November 9, 1914 to Emil and Gertrud Kiesler. According to several sources Hedy was extremely spoiled by her father as he doted on her constantly and encouraged her love of scientific exploration, conversely her mother Gertrud was reportedly much sterner with Hedy. According to Hedy and her family, Hedy’s goal was always to be an actress so it was no surprise to her contemporaries when she dropped out of school to join the theater. Religious freedom was the impetus for many early immigrants coming to America. Thus, freedom to practice a chosen religion is of importance to many Americans. Early colonists, as well as a majority of Americans today, adhere to the Judeo-Christian teachings and indicate affiliations to Christian denominations. Subsequently, Christianity has had a tremendous influence on our values, legal system, and approach to governing. Yet, our Constitution is explicit that government shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion. In turn, Americans believe in the separation of church and state. From the ancient Mesopotamian civilizations to the Muslim world, antiquity has always been filled with religions of all sorts. These religions helped guide how ancient peoples lived life and came about doing even the most common tasks that people like us do today. Religion impacted the civilizations of the ancient world by greatly influencing how peoples of ancient civilizations acted, how they thought about the world around them, how civilizations were organized and maintained, and how they interacted with civilizations of another religion.
America is a special country with heavily influenced cultures. The uniqueness that the United States carries shows its individuality, but also its unity.

In 2015, the United States pours nearly $49 billion dollars in its foreign aid program. While the past of the United States has been centered around foreign affairs. This is the concept of an independent America, straying away from overseas involvements. However, in order to address the leaders of the UN General Assembly, Trump suggests others do the same. He explains before extending aid to other countries, the United States will focus on more internal problems. Disguising his true goal of America first, Trump attempts to appeal to the people of the UN with the term “sovereignty”. To provide an argument for his isolationist beliefs, Trump utilizes the devices of anaphora, juxtaposition and word choice. By employing these devices, Donald Trump expresses what he feels are his moral obligations of America first.
Religion in the ancient civilizations of Egypt and Mesopotamia played a significant role in developing and organizing the society. Based on the common belief of the world’s divine creation, both civilizations had regular rituals and ceremonies to honor the supernatural beings. In rituals and ceremonies, the cult was expressed as the manifestation of components that symbolized the divine such as the cult images, temples, and shrines. Since religion was an important aspect in the people’s daily lives, it also had an impact on the ruling system in the two civilizations. As civilization has expanded and improved it has gone through many different religions. Some of the most interesting and different have been the Mesopotamian religion, the religion of the Greeks and finally Christianity. These three religions were practiced in different areas and different time periods and therefore they will be excellent for a comparison. Religion is a key part of every society and civilization. The Handmaid’s Tale additionally brings the biology perspective on rape into the novel. The explanation for the commander having, what is basically forced, sex with Offred is for reproductive purposes in order to populate the society. The novel even brings in the social cultural view of rape culture as well by showing us that the commander also wanted “forced” sex for other reasons such as lust or romance. Therefore, making the novel’s approach more combine, similarly to Owen D. Jones. The Handmaid’s Tale ultimately still can help spark conversations about rape culture that have to grow and develop in order to make progress with the issues of rape culture.
Every culture has its own religion; and people of those cultures take their religion very seriously. Early Americans used their religion to get through some tough times. Each situation showed that as long as they had faith they could make it through any kind of trouble. However, they also misused their religion or took it out of context. Some even changed their perceptive on religion as if they were trying to find themselves. Religion kept them going strong and allowed them to overcome many dangers. Religion has an important role to those who are religious; which is the case for the early American society.
