The disadvantages of nuclear energy overweighs its advantages
Introduction of nuclear energy
Every item in the universal is made up by atoms which are tiny particles. The atoms are made up by electrons and nucleus. Some kinds of atoms are stable, however, some kinds of atoms are not stable. The unstable atoms may undergo spontaneous radioactive decay. The proton and nuclear in the nucleus may be reallocated or recombinant. The nuclear energy is the energy which is released when the proton or the neutron in the nucleus be reallocated and recombinant. There are two kinds of nuclear energy. One of this is called fusion energy, and the other one is called fission energy. Nowadays, many nuclear power plant use nuclear fission materials like uranium-235 as a fuel to generate electricity. In the worldwide, there were 434 operating commercial nuclear reactors at the end of 2013. Those operating commercial nuclear reactors total installed capacity of 392GW. In OECD countries, there are 18% overall share of electricity are produced by nuclear power plant in 2013. The

Although the radioactive nuclear fuel and nuclear waste have a great negative impact on human health and life, they still the nuclear power plant would do enough work to ensure that their lives are not affected. Most nuclear reactors are built near the city to save the power delivery costs. The residents in the city trust the safety of the nuclear power safety. However, when the accident happened, the radioactive nuclear fuel and nuclear waste would have a huge impact on human security. The nuclear fuel leak not only damage the safety of human lives and property, its potential impact will lead a lot of people suffering from cancer. Last but not least, the media does not take political elections as seriously as politicians might like. People on social media, horse-race the politicians to see who will win the election. They debate on who will win, rather than the politicians views on topics. Horse-races are where citizens vote on who will win the election and they see the race happen and they determine whether their vote was correct or not. They ‘run’ the politicians, just like how people run horses. “Lost in the media spectacle is any careful coverage of issues and policy proposals, or serious discussion of candidate background.” (bigthink). When the media horse-races politicians, they horse-race them by their party or their major decisions that they have made. Citizens can also race them by protests that they were involved in, in their young adult lives, for example Bernie Sanders and his early protests were covered all over the media.
Asking a child which snack he prefers, a vegetable or something better suited for dessert, it is more than likely he will choose the tooth-rotting goodness of his favorite treat, even if it is against his parents’ demands. It is quite extraordinary how a child, although in a situation less life-changing than an adult may be in, can also make the choice to do something ruthless because it is too irresistible to pass up. In nuclear power, there are mainly two nuclear processes to be considered: fission and fusion. In fission, large atoms are split into small atoms, known as fission products. (Touran). These fission products are remnants of uranium nuclei, which then split apart after obtaining a passing neutron (WNA). After obtaining these neutrons, nuclear energy is being produced. Nuclear power plants to this day use this process to produce energy. On the other hand, fusion combines atoms such as hydrogen or helium to produce nuclear energy (Lee). In this process, hydrogen can be manipulated, which then produces energy. To make this happen, heavy-heavy hydrogen, known as deuterium or tritium has to combine together to create helium or a neutron. Deuterium is found in water. In 1950, the first commercial nuclear power plants were constructed. The public was promised a non-polluting and resourceful type of energy, but how safe was, and is, nuclear energy? Although there are less than 500 licensed nuclear power plants in the world, many nuclear accidents have already been endangering civilian lives. More serious accidents are not just likely, but inevitable (Fairchild 29). Nuclear energy may appear to be the ideal source of energy for the future: however, there are many negative effects of nuclear energy that can lead to very dangerous situations.
Atomic energy is potential energy carried by atoms. Some atoms are quite stable and are happy to maintain their stability through their lifetime. However, other atoms which can hold stability, also called radioactive isotopes, are like old buildings which are bound to collapse sooner or later. Splitting the atoms into two releases other particles of energy, also known as nuclear fission. If an atom is split, plenty of energy is released. Through Einstein’s equation, E=MC^2, the amount of energy released when split into two can be calculated. Nuclear power plants don’t work by obliterating atoms instead. They split large atoms into more stable atoms. To produce energy in power plants Uranium is utilized for the atom splitting process. Nuclear power is a complicated issue because some people think that it is safer for the environment and is possibly better for us humans, but this argument is misguided because it is actually pretty dangerous, expensive, and has and issue with proper waste management. I am writing to tell you that we should NOT use nuclear power.
There are many forms of energy that we may use everyday ,but one of the most important types of energy is nuclear energy. While one can not use nuclear energy to power a lawnmower, it is used on a much larger scale. There are countless ways to obtain energy, but nuclear energy is obtained in a somewhat unique way compared to other forms. In this way nuclear energy is differentiated from other forms of energy like hydro and geothermal energy. This along with many other reasons like nuclear energy produces more energy with fewer resources and being better for the environment is why many governments and their scientist prefer nuclear energy.

Nuclear energy could be the solution to the world’s energy crisis. Already, France produces more than 75 percent of their energy from nuclear power plants. And in 1955, another town near Arco, Idaho fulfilled all of its energy needs through nuclear energy. While nuclear energy could be the key to unlimited energy, some people argue that their are too many disadvantages, or dangers that come with nuclear energy. Nuclear energy has been a major debate, and will continue to be until the dangers and disadvantages virtually disappear.

Since the beginning of time humans had to adapt to survive, from dinosaurs to animals like lions and tigers but later in time, some humans learned to work together, while working together they too wondered about the world and created science, which helped create modern-day cities. Working together for so long they started to research new and alternative ways to create and store energy, wind energy, they discovered hydroelectricity, then came solar energy, then their was the discovery of coal and last but not least nuclear energy. Is nuclear energy too hazardous to use? No, it is not too hazardous. Sure, there have been nuclear accidents, such as Chernobyl and Three Mile Island, but there have only been three catastrophic accidents in about the last seventy years. Those three nuclear power plants that had major catastrophes, were catastrophes because of human error, mechanical malfunction, or natural disasters. There are many advantages of nuclear energy. Nevertheless, nuclear energy has its disadvantages too. Nuclear energy is safe to use. But then again, it is only not safe because people do not handle nuclear power correctly.

That is why nuclear power immediately received prioritized development in many industrialized countries. If we carefully examine the list of the world 's energy sources, it is easy to find that nuclear energy is
