Drafted by congress under the recommendation of president Barack Obama, signed into law on March 23, 2010 by President after long legislative debates, the Affordable Care Act 's main purpose is to provide access to affordable and comprehensive health coverage to millions uninsured Americans who do not have coverage or adequate coverage, those who would be denied coverage under the previous insurance practice either base on pre-existing condition, gender or age, while controlling the cost of health care. The Affordable Care Act also known as Obama Care has been a topic of controversy. It is the most significant reform to the U.S health care system since Medicaid and Medicare. Some view it as a great and some believe it will be bad for the economy. I believe the Affordable Care Act is beneficial because it is affordable to Americans, does not discriminate, and will improve the American economy.

During Trumps presidential announcement speech he presents his ideas on how he will bring back to life the American since for him the American dream is dead. Among all the claims he expresses his thoughts on Obamacare also known as the Affordable Care Act. He affirms “We have a disaster called the big lie: Obamacare. Obamacare." and admits that indeed Obamacare will really kick in 2016.Trump plans on repealing and replacing Obamacare. He plans on granting better health insurance to everyone at an inexpensive cost for the people and for the government. Trump exaggerates the costs to persuade his audience into believing of Obamacare as a catastrophe, however, he fails to backup the data he presents not to mention that the data is wrong.

The ACA reformed health insurance by expanding coverage, holding insurance companies accountable, lowering health care costs, guaranteeing more choices, and enhancing the quality of care. Although some states have not implemented all the benefits of the ACA, most citizens do have access to health insurance. It is referred to as Obamacare because he is the one who signed for it to be passed. Due to the stress that Obamacare has put on the elderly, state businesses and small local business’s think that the United States should discontinue Obamacare during the next administration.

The changes that have been made have been monumental in the health care world. These changes have been positive as well as negative. Benefits include lower costs, and thousands of uninsured individuals and families with health care. Downsides are more and higher taxes, and health insurance goes up. There has been much controversy centered around this topic, and many debates bring the good and bad points of Obama care. One significant fact about Obamacare, is that a lot of Americans don’t understand what Obama care is and what it actually is designed to accomplish. The important question to ask, is do the benefits outweigh cons? Many say yes, and many would like to challenge that. The Affordable Health Care act was designed to give aid to thousands that did not, or could not have health care and it has done exactly that, however it has made others pay in their place, and the question still stands. Is that right, or wrong?

Affordable health act has impact on the stakeholders in different manner. The main concern in the medical field is the input cost which is increasing continuously. This is the biggest challenge for the US government as the increasing cost makes it impossible for the government to allocate appropriate resources in managing the requirements of the ACA public policy. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) is a healthcare program created by president Obama’s administration. The goal of the Affordable Care Act is to make sure every United States citizen has health insurance. The Affordable Care Act provides “affordable” health insurance plans to citizens that do not have any and make about $15,000 a year. While the idea of providing health insurance to the millions of American’s that cannot afford it is great, everything comes at a cost. According to Emily Miller, Obamacare is causing people’s health insurance premiums to rise by around 1 to 9 percent (Miller 15-15). Not only are insurance premiums rising, but ever since the Supreme Court declared the Affordable Care Act constitutional approximately 20 tax hikes have been approved (Battersby). All the aforementioned reasons are helping pay for Obamacare. Although providing health insurance for people that cannot afford it is important, the Affordable Care Act should be revoked because it will hurt the economy.

To get vaccinated or to not get vaccinated is a very important issue that is now back on the rise. The target group for this paper would be young mothers and college aged adults. The purpose of this paper is to describe and demonstrate how the Health Belief model can be used to teach a person the importance of vaccinating themselves and their children. As a new, young parent many people do not know the benefits of vaccines and they don’t understand the harm they put themselves and their child in if they remain unvaccinated.
