The Determination
The land that is divided into two parts where there are enormous mountains and long rivers separating the two lands. One side of the land is full of people who are wealthy that also rule the whole entire land. It has gorgeous buildings and gadgets that are valuable. Only the elderly people rule the whole land inside a huge building, keeping track of every single person. The other side is full of people that are the opposite of wealth and that is where Annabelle, her family, and her best friend Ellen lives. Annabelle is a 12 year old girl who looks tough on the outside, but is sensitive and weak on the inside. She has dark brown hair. Her best friend Ellen is also 12 years old girl and has brown hair with brown eyes. One

They have been climbing for almost 3 days.
Annabelle, almost out of breath, said, “I think it’s going to take a pretty long time to get to the other side. I barely have any strength to swim all the way over there.”
In response, Ellen replied, “Yeah, me too. I think we need some rest.”
They sat near by a tree in the shades. It was almost 9:00am when they decided to take a nap. They both gulped down their water and took a short nap. Annabelle couldn’t sleep. She was too worried that she might not get to the building. That she might fail, but she had determination and slowly closed her eyes. When they woke up, it was already 12:00pm in the afternoon. Annabelle and Ellen decided that it was time to swim across the river. They held onto their backpacks and jumped into the cold water. They swam and swam. Annabelle and Ellen swam halfway, but their legs and arms were getting tired. Annabelle almost drowned because of her lack of strength, but she tried her best and made it to the other side. Right when they got to the other side, they were exhausted and all they could hear were the sound of their

The man came up to them and asked, “What are you girls here for?”
Annabelle responded, politely, “We’re here to talk to Michelle Luberto, the ruler of this community.”
The man, with a little smile, said, “Sure, she’s right in that room. The door is right in front. Over there.” He pointed to the door.
Annabelle and Ellen quietly walked to the door that was in front of them and opened it. They saw the women sitting on her chair and grinned at them, like she expected us that we were going to be here. The lady said, “Come on in Annabelle, Ellen. What are you guys here for?”
Determined, Annabelle slowly opened her mouth and said, “I want to talk to you about my people. The non wealthy.”
Michelle said, “What about it?”
Annabelle responded, “I think that it is not fair to have the wealthiest people ruin our land and family whenever they want, but we can’t go over to the other side. I think that we should have all equal rights and that it shouldn’t be divided into the wealthy and the non
The house grew darker as he travelled through, hoping he entered the right room. He stumbled over a pile of wood left from the flooring. Catching himself, he called out to the girl again.
She was not strong or agile, but she had a firm determination. She swam so deep that her lungs were going to explode, but she swam deeper. Finally, as she was about to lose her consciousness, she reached out a little claw and caught the bottom, and when she had just touched the bottom, she floated up, and she was almost
She was as worried as anyone would be. She didn't know if she could do this. "What if the shark is still there". She thought to herself. Then when she went into the water she wasn't worried anymore. "I am not
One day after having swimming in such terrible weather and being brought inside to dry off and warm up, Mrs. Milligan had said something to Lynne, that had truly motivated her to do something great. Mrs. Milligan had told Lynne that; “Someday, Lynne, you’re going to swim across the English Channel.” As soon as she had said that, Lynne truly believed that she could do that. At the age of 9 Lynne knew a goal she was to set up to accomplish one
Mac left before the Sheriff or anyone else got to the center as he wanted to see how passable the trail was and if he could take the any vehicles up the hill. It was the smallest vehicle they had and it might make it. In several places, the trail wasn’t wide enough to take the quad so he gave up the quad and walked up. The distance to the site Jackie described wasn’t far.
She reached the designated spot. She touched the nameplates allowing her fingertips to brush across them ever so briefly. Then she turned to the group. “My Friends, on behalf of the goddess I serve, I greet you. Today we lament the passing of King Rodor and Prince Kay. I offer a word of thanks to the departed for their tolerance of my kind. They preferred to judge by the person’s intent and character rather than on prejudiced standards. For that, I am grateful. We all should have opportunities such as that.” She went silent for a few heartbeats allowing the group to contemplate those
I opened my eyes at the bottom of the deep end and saw water swirling around me. “How in the world will I ever reach the top?” I thought. I repeated Emily’s words in my head, “You can do this, Clover, You can do this Clover, You can do this, Clover!” I did what years of swim teaching at Daland had taught me. I pushed the bottom of my feet against the bottom of the water.
Aileana was able to jog the beach for three miles with no problem. She then went up to her grandmother’s cottage on the cliff to change into her wetsuit and grab her surfboard. As she came down the steps to
Once they begin to swim, they realize that they can in fact complete the endeavor. When they finally reach the reef, they understand that challenges are often not as difficult as they appear and if they put their mind to it, they are capable of
I waved and smiled as they went to sit down. I took a deep breath, turned the oversized handle, and pushed my way into the very big, expensive looking room.
Leon swallowed and then, with his voice shaking with emotion, said, "My lady … Gwen … I am honoured and I willingly accept your appointments."
In the consuming darkness her body began to float upwards. Her mouth was open, letting in small discreet amounts of air, trying to buy as much time as she could before she ran out. Her fragile body was suspended in an awkward posture with her torso jutted forward and her limbs moving like a clockwork doll. Amongst the relentless whipping of the undulating waves she could hear her sister’s scream. She felt herself rise upwards as she continued to flail. She had to survive. She had to somehow reach the surface of the water and survive. She didn’t want to die. Not now. She was running out of air, no longer able to fight the urge to breathe. She looked up to see the sunlight, but she saw none. Then it dawned on her. She wouldn’t make it. She let
Waves crashing in the huge lake, Lynnde's head going under. Mom saw all of that in the time span of 2 minutes. There was a large boat that just went by the beach, and many waves came piling into the small beach. She was freaking out because Lynnde's head was under the water. She could feel her heart stop and she knew she had to do something, so she jumped into the lake.
The princess reached out and swiped the scroll from Arthur’s hands. “Tell me…who is it that trumps a princess? What great family is she from?”
Beth giggled to herself as she read the texts from her friends-- completely unaware of where she was walking. She unconsciously flipped over the white, metal safety rail, she felt like her heart was going to come out as she fell feet down into the colorless water. Her eyes shut as the full weight of her body miraculously smacked onto a old plank of
