Did you know that in two thousand fourteen there were five thousand nine hundred and thirty three speed related accidents in the state of Kansas of which eighty were fatal?
A man gets pulled over on his way to work after lunch when addressed by the delightful presence of a military police officer the cop says “good after noon I am with the fort riley military police department and I am pulling you over today for driving forty two miles per hour in a twenty five mile per hour zone. May I have your license and registration please thank you I will be right back”. Now at this moment it is clear to see that the officer was doing only his job performing a normal traffic stop on a speeding automobile in traffic. Serve and protect, right? Well Serve is exactly right I will not forget my first speeding ticket on post and it will hopefully be the last. Well I guess you can say lesson learned all one hundred and seventeen dollars of it after an eighty seven dollar fine and a thirty dollar processing fee.
Wreck less driving is constantly on a rise these days with the demand for competition in employment and crowding of roadways due to all the fellow motorists in a hurry to get

Simply not paying attention to other motorist of the road can give way for an accident it is important to heed to all warnings and cautions of the road to ensure safety and well-being for any and all passenger or pedestrians on the road or not only will you be paying a ticket or fine but possibly some medical bills due to a careless at fault mistake through reckless
I was pulled over by a police officer because I was going faster than I was supposed to in that designated area. The zone was a sixty-five mile per hour zone and I was do eighty. I have agreed to the terms that I was found guilty of this and now come to you the reader explaining why it may be dangerous to be speeding in certain areas and ultimately everywhere. During this experience I have learned that there are many consequences for not driving safe, because there is never a good reason to speed. I have learned that it is extremely dangerous to speed and that there will be consequences, even if they are minor like, obtaining a ticket, and occasionally they are major, like killing running into someone else. It does not matter what happens after, you should not be speeding ever because there is never a good
The number of souls in this country is currently reckoned at just under three hundred million (American FactFinder 1). Of these are calculated to be approximately two hundred million licensed drivers (Licensed Drivers – Our Nation’s Highways – 2000 1); from which number I subtract twenty-five million who already drive while intoxicated (MADD Online 1). This being granted, there remains one hundred seventy-five million drivers who do not currently drive while intoxicated. There remains approximately one hundred seventy-five million drivers, their families, friends, and peers who will be
Nearly every driver is aware that speeding is dangerous. They are taught this fact in their driver's education course before getting their license and have doubtless heard plenty of public safety messages stating this. Yet, they continue to speed and contribute to the yearly carnage of speeding related fatalities. Why do they do this? As it turns out, there is no one single reason. Here are six common reasons why people speed:
Shopping for a car, SUV, or truck today is just like putting together the perfect outfit complete with the ideal accessories. When shopping for the perfect “ride,” not only does the buyer have a wide range of choices, but the buyer also has a wide range of accessories or options from which to choose. Yes, price does play the most major role in a vehicle's purchase. The days of the 70s when one could buy a new car for $4,000 plus have vanished just like the days of the cowboy riding off into the sunset on his favorite horse Trigger. But after the physical reactions of the sticker price shock, what does a driver need when rolling down the road? What options or accessories, does her or she need for a safe, comfortable ride?
The higher percentage of people driving while distracted adds to the problem of left-hand turn accidents involving motorcycles. In many cases, if a driver had been paying more attention to the road, the driver may have seen the motorcyclist and yielded the right of way to avoid a motorcycle crash.
In a split second you could ruin your future, injure or kill others, and tear a hole in the hearts of everyone who loves you. Distracted driving is perilous driving, yet the new multitasking generation has turned it into the “social norm.” Although many are not aware, visual distractions are not the only way to end up involved in a life changing situation. Along with the visual aspect, manual and cognitive distractions impact the risk of accidents just as well. Not only are you effecting yourself in such a situation, but you also have to take into consideration the lives of the people possibly with you, or the other drivers on the road. When you get behind the wheel of a car, not only are you responsible for your own actions, but you also have to pay attention for other
As a teenage driver, I have received one speeding ticket and been in one accident. Getting into an accident in my front ditch has changed my view of driving and being more cautious on the road. Sometimes these are wake up calls to watch the road more. The most dangerous problem people face each day with accidents is speeding, drinking and driving, and texting while driving.
Another growing problem, that for years has been the major headline for traffic accidents that could have very well been avoided
A driver that is focused on their phone is not paying enough attention to other cars and their surroundings. It’s easy not to see an animal run across the road especially when your eyes are looking down at your phone. That could cause fatal damage to you and your car, it could even make you swerve and hit another car on the road. It doesn’t matter how good of a driver you are if another driver is not being careful
When being a responsible driver it 's important to give your full attention to the road. Focus on the task and get it completed without any complication. It 's also important to know your surroundings. Scan the roadway and keep your eyes alert. Taking your hands off the wheel, your eyes off the road or your mind off of the driving task can be very dangerous. Driving entails concentration, calmness, and with consideration and respect for others. And at the same time, a driver should ensure proper and total control of his vehicle at all times. That means a driver must not allow anything to take their attention from the road, therefore good anticipation and concentration will help to prevent these usual incidents becoming accidents on our roads. The safety of others depends on you when you are on the wheel.
Background and Audience Relevance: According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in 2015, about thirty-five hundred people were killed, and four hundred thousand were injured in car crashes.
“The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that in 2010 driver distraction was the cause of 18 percent of all fatal crashes – with 3,092 people killed – and crashes resulting in an injury – with 416,000 people wounded.”(Federal Communications Commission)
As Americans we love our cars, trucks, SUVs, and motorbikes for many different reasons. One major reason is that they are an easy and convenient mobility; a personal mode of transportation. It is rather hard to imagine what this county would be like without all the roads and vehicles on them. This is abundantly evident in Arizona, where the majority of us drive to most all of our activities from going to work or taking the kids for an ice cream. We jump into our vehicle and go. However, a curious thing often happens when we get in our car, truck and SUVs. We sometimes change turning into someone different when behind the wheel of our vehicle. We can become inconsiderate and aggressive to other drivers; at times even becoming rude, crude,
Therefore, safe driving requires lots of focus and your full attention. Distracted driving affects all drivers from time to time and can come with stiff consequences (“Prevents”). This is quote shows the reason why unfocused driving affects all drivers and the others driving with you. Some teens and adults take more risk and pay less attention to the road increasing their risk for disaster. This another reason why you should pay more attention to the road than on your cellular
A Koenigsegg CCR, a Swedish sports car, goes speeding down a highway. One sign passes the driver announcing the speed limit; "75 miles per hour." Then another sign. Soon the driver is passing the signs so fast that he or she cannot read the signs. A cop is sitting in his or her vehicle, waiting for someone to go zooming past. Suddenly, an object flashes in front of the vehicle. The radar gun is blinking fast – 242 mph. The vehicle was going 242 miles per hour in a 75. With a flick of a switch, the cop's lights are flashing, and sirens are blaring. The cop, handcuffs ready in hand, eventually pulls over and arrests the driver. The driver's sports car was towed. Everywhere people go, there is speeding; whether it is going 242 miles per hour or just going a few miles over the speed limit. Although it is typically not as drastic as going 242 mph, it is still common when driving. If a person is driving a few miles per hour over the speed limit, the cops will ignore it; but if a person is driving a significant amount over the speed limit they will get pulled over and ticketed a high amount – in some situations they may get arrested.
