Christopher John Francis Boone is the fifteen-year-old protagonist who narrates the novel “ The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time”.
Even though it doesn’t refer in the book, Christopher has probably Asperger’s Syndrome which makes social attraction hard for him. An abnormal teenager who is incapable of telling lies, on account of that he deals with the world in a unique way.

The qualities that I anticipate best sum up the main character are; doesn’t understand people, anti-social, highly intelligent/ logical and excellent memory/ observant. After have studied the character, I would like to explain more briefly about the qualities by mentioning some example situations from the novel to support my points.

He shows his mathematical skills throughout the novel, solving equations that are slightly above the average for a common person to solve. Considering the fact that he’s only 15 and receives an A* in A-level maths is a bit improbable since this exam is commonly taken by 18 years old students.

The narrator shows his brilliance through a great interest in space/universe and constellation Orion. As an example, when he considered the milky way on the way to the police station or when he explains the reason why the sky is dark at night. Christopher likes to read about the Apollo space missions and thought he would make a good astronaut but at the last, he changed his mind to become a scientist.

Christopher seems to be a very logical individual in view of the fact that he doesn’t believe in supernatural, god or heaven. One of the reasons he doesn’t like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is because he believed in the supernatural which surely shows that Christopher is
