Have you ever wondered how different your life would be if you were born in another country? The culture of Egypt is so different from our culture in the United States that it almost seems Taboo. What if you could not choose what clothes you wanted to wear or even who you wanted to marry? What if you only got to eat meat once a month because your family could not afford it? This is the everyday life of the people born into the unique culture of Egypt. In the next paragraphs you will see what everyday life is for the people of Egypt. Egypt is part of the Middle East with a land mass of 385,229 square miles located between Israel, Sudan and Libya (NICHOLAS. HOPKINS AND REEM SAAD, 2015). The population of Egypt is 84,208,177 people consisting of over 90% Arabic speaking Sunni Muslims while only 6% are Christians (NICHOLAS S. HOPKINS AND REEM SAAD, 2015). Due to the scarce amount of rainfall, Egypt’s population cannot sustain agriculture and must get its water from the Nile River. Almost 96% of the population lives in the Nile Valley which is only a 4% area of the country. The rest of the country is desert and unable to support life. It is part of their faith that life should spread beyond the Nile Valley, and since the twentieth century over a million acres have been reclaimed by the discovery oil and underground wells. Egypt’s population is 84,208,177 while 1,900,000 were considered to be temporary residents or living abroad. Egypt’s population is predicted to

For example because it is often hot and sunny the people in egypt probably can go snowboarding or do many other snow activities. Lives of the egyptians alter and adapt into what is now their daily life due to the geography around them. Another part of Egypt that is affected everyday due to the religion and social parts is school.

Possibly the most influential change within the great empires of Egypt, was the changes within literature. In the old kingdom there was a lack of writing as it was only used in “sacred purpose” (Sayre 89). The middle kingdom expanded upon this and began writing an extensive amount, from Biography’s to writings of science. It became a large imprint upon Egyptian culture as they became very imaginative, even to write supernatural tales, etc. The literature of this era reflected the added maturity and more Egyptians were able to write and read with the introduction of a school system during the 12th dynasty. Also as there is more writing surrounding everyday individuals, the human brain allows itself to do what it does best and learns. Allowing even lower standard of individuals to become literate, as writing was on everything from walls, to coffins. “Works such as the “Lay of the Harper question whether there

Ancient Egypt and modern day America hold many similarities. In terms of roots in society, both Egypt and America started out as simple agrarian societies. America was rooted in agricultural success in its early life before it advanced towards a more industrialized one in the 1760s to the 1820-40s. Both Egypt and America also, alongside the agrarian heritage, were multiracial and multicultural in essence. Due to Egypt being situated in Africa, it supplied America with slaves as much as the rest of the continent did. Egypt’s African roots also added to the heritage and ultimate inhabitants of the nation, but the rulers and royalty always held
The Egyptian culture has long been considered quite optimistic. It should be argued that of all ancient civilisations and cultures, the ancient Egyptian culture, is by far the most optimistic; in terms of everyday outlook on life, religion and death. The ancient Egyptian culture when compared to its nearby neighbours in the Levant and Mesopotamia is indeed optimistic. An examination of the environment of ancient Egypt affected daily life as this would in turn influence the culture, and whether or not this played a role in making ancient Egyptian life and culture more optimistic. It is also essential that the ancient Egyptian myths and religion be explored to determine whether or not it contained the same optimistic outlook as the culture
Egypt in the 1950s and 1960s was the leader of the Arab world and under the control of Nasser they set out to solve many of the issues of colonialism. Another prominent issue at the time was there was very little infrastructure in Egypt and the infrastructure they had exists mostly to push agricultural commodities to market. Other forms of infrastructure were also lacking. For example, Egypt didn’t have a large school system until the 1950s. There was also economic imbalances, one of which has to do with a small upper-class of ruling elite, the other having to do with how foreign interests capture large sectors of the economy; not a lot of industrial development, and then state-led industrial development. Land is not equitably distributed; there was a lack of an independent army outside of British control; and the country was misrepresented within politics because of the British involvement. Among the newly forming nation states we see Arab countries like Egypt starting to confront these issues and impart emerge as an independent nation state. That is absolute autonomy and sovereignty over their territory. During this time there were two main
in many ways. From adults to kids, culture, society, and the community. There is a complete difference between the United States and Egypt. Especially when it comes to democracy, equal human rights, and benefits. People in Egypt might not have the knowledge about human rights and democracy but they are always thankful for what they have because they are taught to live with what they have. In the United States, people have better living conditions, and easier life but they might not be thankful because they were born in a country that provides them good benefits, and they always look for more not realizing that there are people out there wishing to have whatever the people in the U.S. have. Egypt has the good and bad just as any other place on this Earth. The good there is that you are treated very nice, and with respect. You are loved from the heart not with just useless words. The bad is that no one really follows the laws or rules. Some of the laws that people don’t follow is driving. Anyone can drive no matter the age. There are no rules in driving which means you could drive as fast as you can and however you want. You could get any type of drugs or Alcohol as long as you have the money to pay. People in stores don’t ask for ID or any of that stuff. A minor can go buy a pack of cigarettes if he wanted to without anyone confronting
Egypt as a nation; the majority of Egypt's population consists of ethnic Egyptians at about 90 percent of the population, the rest consisting of a few small ethnic minorities like the Bedouin Arabs, and the Nubians. Egypt is in Northern Africa, with a small peninsula forming a land bridge into Southwest Asia. Egypt is bordered by Libya to the west, Sudan to the south, and by the Gaza Strip and Israel to the east. Egypt's economy depends mainly on agriculture, media, energy, and tourism as stated by an online article from the Full Wiki ("The full wiki," 2010).
Let’s take an imaginary trip some 6828 miles to Egypt. “The Ancient Egyptian civilization is exceptionally famous because it continued without massive cultural change for almost 3,000 years. All its cities were built beside the Nile, a very manageable river; making farming easy and productive” (Minds, 2015).
Today’s society plays a big role in today’s culture. It ranges from social life, History, and religion. Both authority and control play a huge role on participating with traditions of a specific society. This paper represents the relationship between American and Egyptian society and how it affected American Arabs in the United states and also the views towards the types, experiences, and the differences of nationality in cultural dimensions.
The Arab Republic of Egypt is located in the north-eastern corner of Africa and south-western Asia. It is bounded on the north by the Mediterranean Sea, on the east by Palestine and Israel, on the south by Sudan, and on the west by Libya.
Abstract: Egypt, like all other African countries has an extensive history rich with a unique culture and belief system. Unfortunately, Ancient Egyptian culture and history is buried under a synthesized backdrop for what is European history. Though the nation was influence by many cultures over the years, Egypt must still hold onto its true origins by rediscovering and challenging it’s own history in order to reinvent it as an Afrocentric nation that
