Global Progress In an age in which people, business, and organizations can communicate even while residing on different sides of the world, globalization has played a major role in the progress of today’s global society. As globalization continues to extend its reach to different parts of the world in different ways, it is clear that it has left a positive mark on the world both culturally and economically while improving international relationships. One of the most prominent ways in which globalization has improved society is through cultural integration. As globalization increases, the spread of works, ideas, and beliefs from different cultures extends its reach to new parts of the world. As more people from different areas are able to become familiar with each others’ beliefs and cultures, people around the world become more accepting of integration. Therefore, as people migrate to different countries they are better able to become part of society without having to feel ostracized. Simultaneously, international relationships between different countries become stronger as there is more interaction between them. For example, when European traveler Marco Polo visited China, he brought back Chinese artifacts and wrote a book to explain to fellow Europeans the beliefs and ideas that the people from this foreign country had. As a result, as the people of these two areas of the world became more familiar with each other, and there was an increase in both trade and migration
