All the sources discussed in this paper are mainly focused on the importance of the death penalty, the history of the death penalty, and cases involving it. Throughout the entries there is a great amount of controversies. Cases against the death penalty were because of the lethal injection used, the belief of tribes, and the positions of abolishers. The books discussed where informational to reader that didn’t know the reasons behind capital punishment. Incorporating papers that supported capital punishment helped support the position paper assigned previously. The different cases are describing the reason for the death penalty, which help people understand why the death penalty is needed.
Crimes happen to innocent people every day and to survive justice to the victims is if the person who committed the crime is away in jail or sentenced to death. Sentencing an individual to death is called capital punishment. The law gives the command to execute someone depending on the crime that the individual committed. Capital punishment isn’t legal in every state or country, which can create controversy. The advantages and the disadvantages of executing a prisoner is what individuals think about when it comes to certain cases. If the death penalty was rightfully just, then individuals would support it. Some people live by religions or beliefs that may contribute to their positions on this topic as well. Abolishers also believe the death penalty should be abolished in areas that condone it. The states that abolished it see anyone guilty of a crime should still have the opportunity to live.
