In Singapore, the taxi industry was highly regulated and organized. Drivers are required to hold a valid Taxi Driver's Vocational License which could be obtained after completing their training course at the Singapore Taxi Academy and passing a theory test. Comparatively, Taiwan drivers only need to pass a basic driving test to become a cabbie. This difference in credentials shows the control and regulatory differences between the two cultures in the taxi industry. As a result of the rules and regulations in Singapore and the lack of rules and regulations in Taiwan, the regions gain two completely different types of taxi drivers. Uber will pay for everything, I can even rent another car if I want and the company will reimburse without any problem. This industry has already started expanding their business more than just ride sharing application they have gone into electric driving. I believe that if Uber budgets their money right and avoid lawsuits they can expand one part of the company at a time.

It is undeniable that Uber and Grab has given a big impact towards taxi industries. The convenience uses of modern technology have given Uber and Grab a big advantage and it also has flexible payment and cheaper fare rather than a taxi. Uber is known to be a sharing economy platform which is a system in which people rent, borrow, or share commodities, services, and resources owned by individuals, usually with the aid of online technology, in an effort to save money, cut costs, and reduce waste. What is more is that Uber has given a wide opportunity for people to have a job and it is very convenience rather than being a taxi driver as there are many rules and regulations that need to be obeyed.
