“Cinderella believed in dreams, all right, but she also believed in doing something about them. When Prince Charming didn’t come along, she went over to the palace and got him.” This is what Walt Disney said when he believed that when someone has a dream they should follow it and make that dream they have come true. Walt Disney’s career was very successful. Some people did not believe Walt Disney could create such a successful career. Disney’s first job was driving an ambulance in France. But that is not what he wanted to be. Disney wanted to serve in the army but since he was too young he was not accepted. Once Disney got back from France he went to Kansas City. There, he started to produce short animated films for small businesses. He made a new company called Laugh-O-Grams. At that time Disney was making “The Alice Comedies”. “The Alice Comedies” was about a girl in the animation world having adventures. But, Walt Disney had no more money to keep

Later, Disney married one of his first employees, Lillian Bounds. Lillian was later pregnant with a girl and adopted another girl. With some inspiration Disney created Mickey Mouse. Walt Disney’s cartoons were endless then. Technicolor was introduced to Walt’s company, Silly Symphonies Cartoon Features, and allowed Disney’s cartoons to be the only cartoons to have color in it. Disney created a cartoon called “Flowers and Trees” and that cartoon won Disney his first academy award. But there were still more academy awards to come to him. Disney created a movie called “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”. The movie made about 1,000,000 or more. This movie made Walt Disney very powerful and popular. The next five years were the most wonderful years he has ever had because the movies he made got him to be one of the most famous man in the world. Walt Disney was a very influential man to the entertainment industry. He made animation a whole new type of entertainment. Although Walt went through many struggles and problems, he pushed on and eventually saw results for all his hard work. Many hardships got in Disney’s way such as unsupportive parents and even bankruptcy; Walt pushed on through, always creating, working hard, and persevering to accomplish his dream.
Walt Disney was special because of his creativity, dreams, vision, and drive. He developed characters and movies beloved by generations and an entertainment company that is the largest in the world. You might think from all this success that Disney had a lot of advantages when he was young. However, it may surprise you to learn that Walt Disney was not born to rich parents who could provide the right education or the right contacts to help him achieve success. The dream started in 1923 with the creation of Disney’s first cartoon Alice’s Wonderland. Disney moved from Arkansas to California to create a series of cartoons about an adorable little girl Alice. The first cartoon, became a pilot for a series called Alice Comedies by M.J Winkle, a New York distributor on October 23, 1923. This day is a historic day in the film industry - when the Disney magic began. Disney’s amazing talent of drawing and the techniques he learned at the Chicago Art Institute, combined with his attention to detail caught the eye of the industry. Walt, with his brother Roy, created Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio to make a name for themselves.
With his fellow artists in Kansas City Walt began his long endeavour into the art of production. Working with his brother Roy and a few others Walt worked his way to his dream, and in 1923 he was able to set up his studio in Hollywood where his first famous cartoons were produced. Walter and his partners had previously aired their cartoons dubbed Laugh-O-Grams which were wildly popular and after they created a series of seven-minute fairy tales that combined live action and animation. Out of their studio in Hollywood, also known as the “Disney Brothers’ Studio”, came incredible characters such as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit who was famously feuded over by the brothers and caused their famous split. Well all know Walt Disney as the creator of Mickey Mouse and the man who made the first Disney movies and cartoons famous. Walt Disney did so much more than just make Mickey Mouse. He touched hearts and made a positive impact on so many people’s lives. He also made Disney famous around the world. Today there is Disney themed parks in Hong Kong, Paris, and Tokyo. Along with the famous Disney Land in California and the famous Disney World in Florida.
Walt Disney is extremely known for being a film producer and popular showman. He was very recognizing for being an innovator in animation and theme park design. Disney was a visionary in terms of cartoons. Disney views and visions came from his persistence for the future. Walt Disney strives upon building Disney’s to have core strengths in three areas of entertainment and recreation, motion pictures and videos. Walt created his first animated character, Mickey Mouse.

Walter Elias Disney was an amazing film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Mr. Disney left this world, impacting and inspiring the lives of everyone and changing the world of movie-making forever. Walt Disney was the creator of popular animated characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Alice in Wonderland, and Snow White. He is the namesake for the Walt Disney Company, Walt Disney Resort, and many more. Walt Disney had lived an enthralling life, and improved the field of entertainment tremendously. Walt Disney was filled with motivation. “As a child, Walt had big dreams, and planned on pursuing them.” (Ford, Carin T; page 16) He would always want to go above and beyond. “Walt never stopped at average. He was always thinking of new and improved ways to better his work.” (Ford, Carin T; page 26) Walt longed for something more, something that fulfilled his passion.
It would become his greatest challenge and life’s work, teaching him lessons about success, achievement, creativity, innovation, adversity and much more. He created a place that would make other people’s dreams come true. By creating this place many people's dream did come true. Walt Disney was turned into a creative business tycoon who transformed the world through the use of his imagination and resolute determination to make his vision a reality. On December 5, 1901, Elias Disney and Flora Call Disney gave birth to a man who would eventually change our world by the creation of a little mouse. Walter Elias Disney, who was also known as “Walt,” was born in a small town in Chicago, Illinois, by a father who was an Irish-Canadian descent, and his mother who was a German- English descent. Walt was one out of five children, four brothers and a sister. Their names were Herbert Arthur Disney, Raymond Arnold Disney, Roy Oliver Disney, and Ruth Flora Disney. Walt was the oldest one out of the five. While he attended school, he was introduced to Walter Pfeiffer, who decided to show Walt vaudeville and the art of making movies. Walt decided to drop out of high school, at the age of sixteen, to join the army. He was rejected to join because he was too young of age. He and a friend decided to join the Red Cross, where Walt was an ambulance driver during World War II. In 1919, Walt moved to Kansas City to begin a career in art, and worked for the newspaper, as a newspaper artist. He met Ubbe Iwerks, and he and Disney soon made their own commercial company called, “Iwerks-Disney Commercial Artists.”
Disney Productions is one of the leading entertainment businesses, bringing tremendous profits not to mention the joy it brings many people. It has not always been this easy for Disney however. It took the mind of one man to bring it to what it is today, and that’s mans name is Walt Disney. Walt Disney’s life was devoted to the arts and entertainment almost from birth. However, Walt’s fortunes and fame didn’t take form until his creation of Mickey Mouse.
Walt Disney Films are known to be as an incredible and outstanding fantasy stories producer. It created more than a hundred of films. Majority of what has been produced rely on fictional stories. The films that were released used animation to capture children’s interest and musically performed as well. Walt Disney produced fantasy stories like The Little Mermaid 1989; Sleeping Beauty 1959; Beauty and the Beast 1991; Cinderella 1950 and more. The tales most often than not were always about the life of a princess in search of her prince charming.
In 1971, President Nixon created the Comprehensive Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act of 1970 commonly known as the War on Drugs. The war on drugs was implemented to combat production, distribution, and consumption of illegal drugs (Olaya & Angel, 2017). In 2007, law enforcement officers made approximately two million drug arrests in the United States (Potter, 2014). Supporters state that the war on drugs was successful because it lowered some drug users in the United States, created a deterrence in crime, as well as it provided stability in areas that were volatile and impoverished. Greek culture evolves through the thousands years of development, possessing the notions and literature still compatible with contemporary society and literature. Greece is a country that holds a rich history comprising different categories of historical eras such as Greek Bronze Age, Classical period, Roman period, and Ottoman period.
