Corner print clearly conveyed that a heart attack or stroke can be close by and that Pathnor helps lower the risk.
It is telling you that there’s an injectable medication that can lower your high cholesterol – ASCVD, Nash
You are going to improve with this medication and the solution is right around the corner – ASCVD, Event, Chi
There is something you can do for you high cholesterol – Event & ASCVD, Nash
Clarity
The print with the dark figure was clearest representation because it quickly captured the idea that something bad is looming. When the print ad was re-envisioned as a dark cloud, some were able to associate it with doom and gloom, but others said it could be back-fire from a car, a shadow from the building or just a

The bad guy is around the corner if you don’t do something – Event, Chi
I’m just not sure what the cloud is. Is it smoke, trees or a shadow? - Event, Nash
I don’t think the cloud has anything to do with it. It could be a bush. The words are clearer – Event & ASCVD, Nash
If you read [headline], you understand what the cloud is. It’s the event but it’s not as dark or as clear. The figure is the stalker so it’s clear. The words are more limiting, it’s just heart attack not stroke and heart attack. It’s just more specific – Event, Nash
In the Corner print featuring the dark figure, Pathnor’s role is to help people avoid what could be next. If people understood the cloud to convey doom and gloom, Pathnor’s role was to lowering LDL in order to avoid a bad outcome.
E2 is a guy like me and the role of the medication is to prevent a heart attack or stroke and prevent [the figure] from getting me – Event, Chi
It is lurking around the corner. 100% danger coming if you don’t do something – Event,

You need to be aware and do something - ASCVD, Nash
The role of Pathnor is to get rid of the fear. The look on his face. That is critical. Pathnor relieves him of that fear feeling - Event, Chi
Target
This asset clearly captured the Sisyphean struggle of lowering LDL. It captures the worry of the Patient and the headline uses the powerful word “struggle.” As such, it speaks to a broad swath of patients working hard to lower their LDL. It is not specific to those who have had an event.
Pathnor is for people who are taking LDL meds and still have high cholesterol. It doesn’t bring up the past. They need to do something in addition to what they are doing. Like I do – Event & ASCVD, Chi
This idea brings me into the picture because I am struggling, but it’s not so negative. The struggling part shows that I am working hard at it and they aren’t blaming me – Event, Chi
In E2 I see a guy like me and I am struggling – Event, Chi
Motivation
As we heard with TV, by using the dark figure to depict the worst outcome of a stroke or heart attack, the print motivates Patients to act. Also, patients said the ad differentiated itself from other pharmaceutical
After reading the chapter on rhetorical analysis it really helped me to understand the different parts and makeup of a rhetorical analysis. It when over ethos, pathos, and logos as well as going over the format used when writing rhetorical analysis. Some example rhetorical analysis that it gives are over a couple of commercials, a Keep America Beautiful PSA, Jack's Links beef jerky, as well as a Red Bull one. All of these examples helped me to understand what exactly a rhetorical analysis is. The text also gave example forms of each of the appeals which helped to give a better idea of the form that each appeal could take.
stress and to relieve anxiety varies from one person to another” (p. 1). The author
k it would be more operative to examine the text chronologically and describe these appeals concurrently. An excellent example of this is your examination of syntax in the second paragraph.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick caught the nation’s attention when he remained seated during the national anthem. National Football League (NFL) reporter Steve Wyche covered this event in an article he wrote for the NFL website. Wyche interviewed Kaepernick after the game where the quarterback explained why he decided to sit during the national anthem. Kaepernick explains: “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses Black people and people of color” (Wyche). Kaepernick’s frustration is due to the recent string of police shootings, which have claimed the lives of many young black men across the country.
Square One Developmentally appropriate activities observed in the video Starting at Square One with Bev Bos allows for the need to meet children where they are and also as a group. For example, the creative curriculum allowed for the children to explore and develop their age appropriate differences in the classroom. The 5 to 6 different creative art activities gave each child the opportunity to take a risk. Risk taking according to Bev Bos “is a Fundamental skill for pre-readers, to explore, and develop language” (Bos, 1994). In do so, it allows for the opportunity for DAP strategies and concepts to be implemented into the early childhood education programs with the goal that each child will reach their fullest potential.
This guidance can be used alongside the NHS Health Check programme, the national vascular risk assessment and management programme for those aged 40–74. This is an integrated approach to identifying and preventing four diseases: diabetes, cardiovascular disease, stroke and kidney disease (NHS Health Check Programme, 2009). The programme is being rolled out throughout England. The aim is to ensure everyone aged 40–74 who has not already been diagnosed with one of these conditions is offered a risk assessment and given advice and support to help them reduce and manage that risk.
POP, 1. POP, 2 . POP, 3. It was at that moment that an american terrorist finished his magazine of bullets that he had aimed at all of children and teacher in sight. His assault rifles have firing off at least 20 bullets before he had to reload. The children scattering, hiding and cowering in fear as he began to reload and search for more victims. This has happened one to many time in the last 10 years of american history. Some of the biggest incidences being Columbine, Sandy Hook, Virginia Tech & the Parkland High School Shooting. However no changes were made to our current gun laws to stop this from happening again. The people of this country are tired of seeing innocent children being dragged away in body bags. Two-thousand eighteen is the year that the children and adults alike took to the streets and
The dark green colored sky was enormous; sirens went round the bend to alert people, no lights to find ways to basements and bathrooms. “It was crazier than a bat without eyes,” Darrell Allen had said. The storm got closer as people found ways to us
I think this activity helped us a lot because we all had to give a closer look to our figures. For our intermediate draft we were asked to describe two rhetorical appeals only. However, for this activity we had to describe all of them. Therefore, I learned that all of them interact in order to convey the stakeholder’s goals. They all overlap so that the stakeholder conveys its message. Activities like this one furthers our analysis and helps us look beyond the image; for example, it makes us ask ourselves questions like: Why? How? Where? instead of just describing WHAT happened. Regarding my issue, I learned that it’s not as simple as just changing the laws in order to benefit migrants. It would require a change on people’s ideas as well.
The type of speech event was analytical discussion with a purposeful question and answers followed by productive yet informal conversation in order to reach a decision. ANALYTICAL NOTES: In observing this event, I learned about the effects that tone and silence have on showing respect and building relationships. The spatial organization itself was important for the activity that I observed because the seating arrangements were made to facilitate discussion and critique of someone physically up on a pedestal. Since the store was smaller it also made it more necessary to speak in quieter and more intimate voices.
I am a kind but ambitious 19-year old boy. People describe me as being laid back and considerate, and I would have to agree with them. I don’t wear my emotions on my sleeve like some do; I prefer to let my actions do the talking for me. My hobbies are reading, playing video games, and watching baseball. I can be very analytical and deliberate when it comes to something I am knowledgeable about, for example, when I play against someone in a video game, I like to try to predict what actions they may take and react accordingly.
Throughout my time in english 110 I have written an analysis essay, a research paper, and an opinion editorial piece. Two of which I have never written before. At the beginning of the semester I thought a good writer was someone who used good word choice and who could use an effective writing theme for an essay. I was so utterly wrong, a good writer is someone who can evoke emotion, connect ideas and effectively relate to others. They use peers for feedback and always revise their work. A good writer is someone who believes that their work is never finished, it is more than just someone who can tie a few ideas back into their original thesis statement. As I grew as a writer in this class, I have come to the belief that I now posses a few of
Sir Robert Peel’s Principles of Law Enforcement, has been around for nearly 200 years now. If some didn’t know, Sir Peel had created a list of nine guidelines that policeman had to follow in the mid 1820’s. Out of the nine, one of the principles that stood out was, principle number six, which is a method that we use still use today. According to part of the sixth principle, it states that, “Police should use only the minimum degree of physical force necessary on any particular occasion for achieving a police objective.” Who knows why it sticks around, but it clearly makes a difference in the world.
trange; that was the only word to describe it. Aristotle’s eyes widened as he quickly leaped off his bike, making his way towards the abnormality. The peculiar flower caught his interest; he had never seen anything like it. He wandered off into this field not too far from his house, on a quest for flowers. However, this was not what he expected. This flower was such a beauty, it did not belong on Earth. Excitement flickered in his eyes. Aristotle was still in the early stages of becoming a botanist, but he knew almost too much about plants. A gleeful laugh escaped his lips, and he wasted no time in uprooting the flower from its spot. His hands shook with delight as he placed the flower in the basket of his bike, that previously occupied the ground. His legs burned when he raced home, his smile shined brightly in the afternoon sunlight.
