Shared leadership includes maximizing all of the human resources in an organization by empowering individuals and offering them an opportunity to take leadership positions in their areas of proficiency. With more intricate markets increasing the demands on leadership, the job in many cases is merely too much for one individual. Governor Patrick is known as the most conservative and productive assembly of the State Senate in Texas history. Concentrating on strategies to keep Texas families and communities safe and the state financial system strong, under his leadership, the Senate voted for legislation to dramatically increase. This is an example of a governor’s willingness to work with legislators at quarters and personally lobbying their bills (Rosenthal, A., 2004). The Texas Legislature is the most powerful of the three main branches of government. However, none of the three branches is particularly strong, and the Legislature may be better described as less weak than the other branches (www.laits.utexas.edu).
