As we live is this world we are faced with all types of diversities. However the main diversity that the world has been facing is terrorism. Within the last decade, terrorism has hit the United States hard. Before the last ten years, The United States have seen signs and acts of terrorism. Before September 11, The United States law enforcements and security forces where not on the same sheet of music of getting information or sharing

In the mid 1990’s, acts of terrorism were becoming a constant theme within the United States. Attacks like the bombing of the World Trade Center in New York City on February 1993, which caused six causalities

The security of the United States and living without being under a constant threat should be very important to all citizens and those who visit this country. The research revealed some interesting facts, it is impossible to secure every commercial building, airport, bridge, bypass, and government building. One element of the security is that terrorists will not have the ability to attack every place in the United States. However, everything is a possible target and terrorists want to do as damage as possible and cause the greatest amount of disruption in our way of life as possible.

As a society, our government has tried to minimize domestic terrorism attacks and the impact that it causes should it occur, such as taking steps to acquire due diligence. Prior to the recent years, society lacked the preparedness programs and security plans, that could have prevented these ongoing attacks. Moreover, although we cannot put these attacks to a halt, we can surely put a plan into action that can prevent the widespread of these attacks. Nevertheless, these terrorists are becoming bolder ad bolder as the times go by, it seems as if the message of the government not allowing them to continue their rampage/destruction on the masses has not stuck. Prior to the recent years, we have seen high-profile attacks on major cities across the globe that has kept all individuals on their toes. Terrorist individuals/groups are no longer hitting specific groups of individuals or symbolic sites, but are more so hitting and putting cities and countries under siege, with the help of recruits they have acquired from poor and marginal neighborhoods all over, this type of recruitment is called

Edgar Allan Poe was a master of the literary elements and used them greatly in all of his works. In the story, “The Cask of Amontillado,” Poe uses these literary devices to really grab the audience and keep them wanting more. This skillful building of suspense is what makes this story so interesting and easy to keep reading. Poe drops small hints throughout the story in order to give the reader a little glimpse of how the story will come to an exciting end. With all of these elements coming together Poe creates a captivating and interesting story that a reader can easily enjoy. Poe’s expert use of foreshadowing, irony, and first person viewpoint all build into this captivating story that ensnares a reader.

Acts of terrorism plants fear and terror into the hearts and minds of individuals but when mass shootings occur in the U.S., they get classified as murder or hate crimes. This research will show that mass shootings and hate crimes inflict the same type of terror in the hearts and minds of individuals throughout communities within the U.S. as terrorist attacks have inflicted on communities.

This paper is aimed at outlining the events of the Terrorist attack against America, the results and actions taken by the United States Government in retaliation to the attacks. There is no way to legitimize terrorism, although deeply rooted in religion; there can never be a valid excuse to victimize innocent people. Terrorism is never easily defined and many individuals have an obscure idea of what it really is. Terrorism is a premeditated act of violence, geared at bringing about political change by intimidation; it is disruptive in nature and is intended to have an impact outside of its intended targets. Acts of terrorism are responsible for thousands of deaths, increased security measures and negative impacts to the budgets of many countries including America.

Abstract: Everyday security is provided by the states and federal government. These tasks get more difficult as new technology introduces itself. Cybersecurity is one of the most popular security sectors in today’s world. There is not only cyberbullying going on in the world. Terrorism can be planned and sent from person to person over the internet. People’s identities are being stole to help carry out these terrorist acts and this is just the being of it. The United States created the Department of Homeland Security as a result of the 9/11 attacks. This was an effort to prevent future terrorist attacks on our nation. Along with that department, laws have been enacted, such as the USA PATRIOT Act. This law was introduced and passed to provide Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies with better resources to fight and stand up against terrorism. The way to successfully providing security against domestic and international terrorists is to understand the mentality of a terrorist. Critical assessments, more efficient alert systems, and physical security standards must improve in order to solidify our current security posture if the United States wants to deter future terrorist attacks against its culture and economy.

The Glass Menagerie was a well written novel by the author Tennessee Williams because of all the different aspects of the characters’ lives and views of things. For example Laura an older single mother who wants the best for her two grown children, Laura who is 23 years old and Tom who is the older brother. There father Mr. Wingfield abandoned them for long distance traveling and never came back so Laura is taking care of them on her own. Her daughter Laura is shy and quiet girl who has a crippled leg and cannot work because of it and her oldest son Tom is just like his father and wants to get out of Chicago and travel but he works for a factory to provide for his family. At the beginning of the novel it was uninteresting but towards the end it improved. The best part of the novel for me was at the end when Jim came over to the Wingfield’s house and Laura didn’t now it was Jim her high school sweetheart. Throughout the novel there were little hints about what was going to happen like from the characters talking,the subtitles, and the dramatic music that played throughout the play, so it was really easy to understand.

September 11, 2001, started as a perfect day, but as the day went on, chaos and terror erupted in the streets of New York City. New York’s iconic World Trade Center fell victim to hijacked commercial airlines filled with innocent people. In 102 minutes, the world was forever changed by one of the worst attacks the United States has ever experienced. Many factors made the terrorist attacks of September 11th a day that is permanently etched into the hearts and minds of Americans.

The 9/11 terror attacks is one of the historical and fatal events that changed the United States of America forever, especially in relation to terrorists and terrorism. While these concepts were on the minds of very few people in America's population before the attacks, the 9/11 incident made terrorism to become one of the major concerns for the whole nation. This is despite of the fact that they were carried out in New York City, Washington, and parts of Pennsylvania. Since it was a major concern, the terror attacks dominated all kinds of media and contributed to increased security measures for average Americans. Moreover, terrorism currently provides a major threat to global security that any time in American and global history (Dyson, 2001, p.3). As a result, it has become a fundamental aspect for law enforcement agencies and their initiatives, particularly with the rapid technological advancements.

America has seen many terrorist attacks throughout the world and at home. Seeing them around the world may have hurt, but not as bad as seeing it in your own backyard, when you and your neighbors are being targeted. By definition Terrorism is usually a small group who kills suddenly or secretively. Many terrorist attacks are the attack on the World Trade Center and Pentagon on the attack of September 11,2001, the Oklahoma City bombing, the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing, the Wall Street bombing and, the U.S.S. Cole bombings are some of the worst terrorist attacks to happen on U.S. soil.

Acts of terrorism has greatly affected multiple countries, including the United States. The horrific events that took place on 9/11 left the American people shocked, devastated, and furious. Many innocent American’s lost their lives on this infamous day. While airports and airlines are not free from security breaches, a set of new security measures and requirements have been implemented by the International Air Transport Association and the International Civil Aviation Organization (Beirman, 2011). Increased security at airports and airlines, have left terrorists to target more vulnerable areas such as tourist destinations. Attacking tourists’ spots such as hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, conference venues and other forms

The money that has been spent by the United States to counter terrorism is over exaggerated and does not reflect value for money. No one can dispute that terrorism is a unique kind of threat and it is evil. However, the money spent in this area is exaggerated in both official mind and the public. The risk of death from a terrorist attack in the United States today is very minimal. The danger in itself is remote with a low probability of happening. For instance, since 1970, only 3305 United States citizens have been killed by terrorism. If 9/11 fatalities are deducted from this figure, the number drops to 397. Therefore, the ratio of being killed by terrorism is 1:110,000,000. In 2010, 3841 people died from drowning, 32,999 in car accidents, 2791 from malnutrition, 38,369 from suicide and 29 from lighting (Sherry 3). In the same year, only four deaths from terrorism were reported by the government. The cases of terrorism are of lone wolf variety which America has faced for years. Therefore, what is needed is to come up with tactics for dealing with the same old problem. The whole issue of ISIS threat is overhyped, and it is usually a tactic used by the government to justify its expenditure on counterterrorism.
