Teotihuacan is an Aztec term meaning “place where gods were born”. The City itself has been around for centuries and at its peak, in the ancient world held over 150,000 inhabitants. The place was also mysteriously abandoned in 700 A.D. It is home to some of the largest pyramids in the world, for example the Pyramid of the Sun. (Ivan, 2012)
Located in Teotihuacan is The Pyramid of the Sun and it is one of the largest structures built in the ancient world and is currently the third largest pyramid in the world. It stands over
230 ft. (70 m) high with six platforms. The pyramid was amazingly built all by hand without metal tools or pack animals. The pyramid was also very important culturally to the people of the city because it almost acted as

The city was already in ruins before the Aztecs came in the 14th century. (Teotihuacan Guide, 2014)
The location of the city was one of the biggest things that helped it flourish into a New
World power. Teotihuacan is located in the state of Mexico and is about 25 miles away from
Mexico city. The geography of the location of the city was very important to the people that lived there.(Teotihuacan Guide, 2014) A mineral called Mica is in abundance in the location and is found in almost every building located there.(Ivan, 2012) Teotihuacan also had running water and a network of sewers because of its canalized river.(Teotihuacan Guide, 2014)
The city of Teotihuacan was and still is today a place of magnificence in Architecture,
Geography, and Culture. The Pyramid of the Sun is a feat in engineering, being only built entirely without tools, only by hand and the Location of the city is unmatched and helped the city prosper. Now people come from all over the world to reminisce and see for there own eyes the magnificence of the city and get a glimpse of what it once was.(Teotihuacan Guide, 2014)
Teotihuacan may have a mystery of its people but it is no mystery that the city is strikingly complex and
Starting the comparisons of Teotihuacan and Chaco Canyon, we can say that both being an important civilization centers in their respective region, with Teotihuacan being the major center in Mesoamerica, while the Chaco Canyon was the major center of the Ancestral Puebloan civilization. Another common factor were that they both shared the fact the sites were considered holy areas, which were considered important enough to warrant pilgrimages. Both had religious practices preformed in the centers with rituals in Teotihuacan being performed at the Pyramid of the Feathered Serpent, while in the Chaco Canyon religious ceremonies were conducted at one of the 32 kivas located within the great houses. Then finally, both sites were later abandon by
Annabelle Headrick’s The Teotihuacan Trinity: The Sociopolitical Structure of Ancient Mesoamerican City discusses the mystery behind the development of Teotihuacan, a city-state located in the Mesoamerica. Historically, not much is known about this great city, in terms rulers, cultural aspects, and even hieroglyphs. In the text, Headrick uses other Mesoamerican city-states, critical analysis and other historical documents to uncover the mysteries and to support her hypothesis of the Teotihuacan trinity, which comprised of rulers, lineages, and the military to shape the dynamics of the socio-political structure of Teotihuacan.
Tenochtitlan is the religious center and capital for the Aztec population which was well over 200,000 people (1). One of the best known structures from Tenochtitlan is the Templo Mayor, standing in the center of the city. Here they honored their gods as well as conducted rituals such as human sacrifice. Excavations at Tenochtitlan found human remains with wounds that explained stone carvings of violent myths of human sacrifice (2).

2. The Teotihuacans built an enormous city and great buildings. The toltecs are known for large pyramids topped with temples.
The location of this great metropolis is a subvalley of the Valley of Mexico. In its northwestern region, the area it occupies is considered to be a highly strategic because it controls access to the valley. This proved to be quite beneficial for aiding and accelerating the development of the Teotihuacan culture. The valley of Mexico is home to obsidian sources, permanent springs, lake systems, irrigable agricultural lands, deposits of salt and limestone, the later was extremely important for construction of the majority of the structures found at this site.
Until the 19th century it was the tallest building in the world and, at the age of 4,500 years, it is the only one of the famous "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World" that still stands. It is the Great Pyramid of Khufu, at Giza, Egypt.
In my last research assignment I explained what the Special Operations executive was and the role and mandate that they served, this time around I plan to explore the impact after the war and even to the present, many of the current intelligence agencies operating today have all in some degree some commonality and structure and have similar ways of approaching threats, In comparison from World War Two to now with the ever emergence of the terrorist threats around the globe, but with every intelligence agency history always had some kind of blunders, mistakes and embarrassment, and the ever increasing demand in wartime for “surgical action”, in addition I will highlight how these tactics serve current agencies and SOF units today and how the SOE really set in stone the trade craft of special tactics.
The Great Pyramids of Giza are considered to be three of the world’s most fascinating and astonishing archaeological marvels. On the edge of modern-day Cairo stands the plateau of Giza, on which these extraordinary pyramids were constructed approximately 4,500 years ago, yet to this day, they are regarded as three of the world’s largest human-made structures, standing, collectively, at 1116 feet tall. However, the Pyramid of Khufu, is by far the most captivating. As the biggest pyramid of the three (despite Khafre’s Pyramid being mistaken as the larger one as it was built on higher ground), Khufu’s Pyramid (more commonly referred to as the Great Pyramid) once stood at a towering 481 feet tall, however, over the centuries it has been affected by erosion, and combined with the absence of its pyramidion, its present height reaches 455 feet, with it’s base covering an area of 230.4 metres. The Great Pyramid was built around 2580-2650 BC, during the Fourth Dynasty, and is believed to have been constructed as a tomb for the Fourth Dynasty Egyptian pharaoh Khufu. Furthermore, many egyptologists argue the time period in which Khufu’s Pyramid was formed, with John Romer proposing a 14-year time span, and Mark Lehner
According to Egyptian and Sumerian mythology, there was a battle between two families of gods for supremacy and control over the ancient lands and the pyramids of Giza were strategic strongholds for the gods. (vi) The different shafts and chambers of the great pyramids are said to point to various constellations that represent several Egyptian gods. (vii) It is also thought by some that the pyramid may have been a place where Egyptians made a pilgrimage to honor the gods or their pharaoh who, according to legend was a descendent of the gods. (viii)
The pyramids were built as a tomb for the pharaoh. Their belief was that the top point of the pyramid was the gate for the soul to travel to the afterlife and return to earth if chosen. These tombs were built which line up with certain stars and planets.
It’s time. It was April 12th, 2015. I was prepared to experience the most transformative event of my life; today, I would officially become a Jehovah’s Witness. The attendants prompted me toward the baptist as I anxiously descended the pool steps. I plugged my nose and prepared for the submersion. The baptist promptly submerged me in the water, then raised me out, only to do it a second time because my legs were reluctant to submerge. This feeling of doubt didn’t end in the baptismal pool; it shaped me throughout high school.
In the deserts of Egypt lie the colossal remains of an ancient civilization. These enormous works of human endeavor are the only member of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World that time has passed down to us. These are, of course, the great pyramids of ancient Egypt. But these imposing structures were not built to impress civilization millennia down the road. The pyramids in fact had a purpose to the ancient Egyptians. While they seem very simple in nature, as they are simply four-sided pyramids with square bases, they had a meaning for those that had them built. Even by today’s standards, the pyramids of ancient Egypt were an impressive feat of engineering, due to their enormous size, both in building materials and finished product.

Marijuana continues to be a very controversial area of legislation in America. Through the Obama years we saw more lenient laws enacted and more places allow marijuana in the United States. In the early 2000’s medical marijuana became more common. Marijuana in Colorado has been an especially complicated area. But in 2012 Amendment 64 passed, which legalized recreational marijuana. Amendment 64, created by Democrats in Colorado’s Congress in 2011, passed by public vote due to the efforts of many politicians, the work of special interest groups, and a shift in public opinion of marijuana over time due to media and politicians.
