He had developed friendships in his job, but his co-workers said that he hardly tried to develop any outside relationships with them. During the Dahmer trial, Dahmer confessed he used two films for inspiration Return of the Jedi and The Exorcist 3. The reason he gave in his confession was “using the films to get himself in the proper mood to go out and cruise for a victim…” (“Jeffrey Dahmer - Full Trial – Serial Killer”). Dahmer used these films because of the main villains in each movie. Pazuzu of The Exorcist 3 and The Emperor of Return of the Jedi are both unrelenting forces in their respected movies. A man who loved the spotlight could also be a murderer on the inside. An example of this kind of man would be Ted Bundy. Ted Bundy was a man of good looks, charm, smarts, and ambition. He had all he needed to become anything he wanted to be. Bundy chose to use his traits and skills to murder as many as 40 young women and girls as young as 12 years old during the mid 1970s. Bundy did live a semi-normal childhood when compared to Dahmer, for he did not have to endure a heavy family dispute and did not develop a drinking problem early in his life. The reason Bundy was believed to have snapped was “Many of his early victims bore a physical resemblance to Bundy's first girlfriend, who was tall and slender and wore her long brown hair with a part in the middle” (Lohr). Bundy had a rough split with his first girlfriend one he would always consider his first love. Ted Bundy was not his original name, according to Lohr, “Bundy was born Theodore Robert Cowell on November 24, 1946, in Burlington, Vermont” (par. 3). However, Bundy’s father wanted nothing to do with him and his mother, so they moved to Philadelphia to live with his mother’s parents. Bundy’s grandparents, out of fear that their daughter would be criticized for having a bastard child, raised Bundy as their own. This left him to believe that his mother was actually his older sister. This could have been one of the factors of converting Bundy into a serial killer. Bundy’s mother eventually moved them to Tacoma, Wash., in 1950. It was there she met and married a military cook by the name of Johnnie Culpepper Bundy. From that point on Ted Cowell was known as Ted Bundy, a name that became a part of many bone chilling stories. Another factor for Bundy snapping to a personality to that of a serial killer was his childhood bullies he had to deal with. Bundy was an intelligent man his academic accomplishment
As stated before, Bundy had killed over 30 women. This vast number of killings would qualify him to be considered a “serial killer”. Although serial killers are not common among society, the act of killing another person intentionally, or homicide, is fairly common. Homicide is a crime that usually always shocks the public when they hear of it because it is not

This serial killer suffered from Antisocial personality disorder. without any empathy at all, Ted Bundy killed and raped at least 36 people, most of them were college students with brown long hair. Bundy was becoming better on the outside; a murderous rage was building on the inside of him. In other words, Ted’s superficial was charming, engaging, and he was intelligent. He took advantage of people who trusted him because of his appearance. He used double personalities when he was seducing women. The Charming Evil Bundy used to wear a cast on his arm and ask beautiful women to help him with his books to the car, after that he hit them with his crutches and push them into his car. He usually brutally beat, rape, and murder those women without any reason. Ted Bundy was untruthfulness, insincerely, and lacking empathy. Bundy was unable to have an interpersonal relationship because he did not understand the intrapersonal

3. Ted didn’t have a early criminal history. The most he did was go and peer in people’s windows and look around. The root of his killings came from his ex girlfriend named Brook who said no to Bundy when she asked him out. His

Bundy enjoyed abducting, assaulting, murdering young college women (SC).
“Ask a psychopath what love is and he’ll go on and on, but he has never felt it himself…If you catch him lying, he’ll just shift gears and go on as though nothing had happened” (Goleman). Ted Bundy was one of the most famous psychopaths in the history of the country (Nordheimer). People say he was the perfect killer- handsome, intelligent, witty, and charming (Boynton 25). Bundy was the complete opposite of what people thought a serial killer looked like, so his victims did not fear him (“Ted Bundy”). Robert Keppel, an expert on serial killers, stated, “He taught us that a serial killer can appear to be absolutely normal, the guy next door (“Serial Killers and Mass Murderers”). At one point he was working for a suicide hotline; a friend
Looking into Bundy's life, many of the facts and images from his early life stand in stark contrast to the vicious killings he engaged in. The young many Bundy was well behaved and "grew up an attractive teen" that was "generally liked and who performed well in school," according to Charles Montaldo writing in About.com. When he enrolled in the University of Puget Sound, he did very well in his schoolwork but he was embarrassed that he had so little money and the students around him were far wealthier, so he transferred to the University of Washington

Ted's mom never told him much about his father other than that he was in the armed forces and that they never were really together. After being left in foster care for two months, Eleanor decided to have her parents raise Ted and make him and everyone believe that they were his adopted parents and
Theodore Robert Cowell, more notoriously known as Ted Bundy, was born in Burlington, Vermont on November 24, 1946. Bundy was raised by his grandparents for the first three years of his life in order to avoid public disgrace from their community due to the fact that Bundy’s mother had him out of wedlock. As a young boy, Bundy was under the notion, along with the community around him, that his grandparents were his parents and his mother was his older sister. At the age of four, his mother left with Bundy to live in Philadelphia and there met her new husband, Johnny Bundy. Together, they resulted in conceiving four children and despite the fact that Johnny Bundy had adopted him; he continued to stay secluded from the rest of the family. His childhood overall is controversial; in interviews, Bundy described his grandparents as respectful and was very attached to his grandfather. Later on, it was revealed to attorneys by other family members and himself that Bundy’s grandfather, Samuel Cowell, was a domineering and prejudice person. Different reports from beating his wife and the family dog to pushing Bundy’s aunt down a flight of stairs were claimed to have happened. His grandmother however, was described by Bundy as being humble and loyal who went through therapy for depression. Bundy started exhibiting his abnormal behavior at a young age, reports from his aunt stating she woke up from a nap to discover she was surrounded by knives and a three year old Bundy was standing over
Throughout history, criminal investigators have encountered different forms of serial killers. One of the many famous serial killers in the twentieth century was Theodore Robert Bundy (Ted Bundy). Ted Bundy was responsible for the Chi Omega killings and many more. When people think of serial killers, they visualize some dirty, crazy, looking individual that would stand out from everybody else. In Ted's case this was different. Ted Bundy was a very smart individual who had attended college at various colleges, studying law and finally receiving his degree in psychology from the University of Washington. He had volunteered for the Republican Party in California for a Governor campaign. His family and friends considered Bundy as
Bundy was born as Theodore Robert Cowell on November 24, 1946 at a home in Burlington, Vermont for unwed mothers. He started his life as a secret shame. His mother, Eleonor Cowell, also known as Louise, was a 22-year-old unwed woman, whose parents were deeply religious. Bundy was raised as the adopted son of his grandparents and was told that his mother was his sister to hide the fact that he was an illegitimate child born out of wedlock. Bundy later found out that his sister was actually his mother and her husband, Johnnie Bundy, formally adopted him. Bundy grew to be very articulate and intelligent as well as charming. However, when he was younger, Bundy was shy and he didn’t do well with his peers. By the time he was in his teens, he started showing signs of a darker side. Bundy recalled that he wandered the streets looking for discarded pornography and peering into other people’s windows. When Bundy was 18, his extensive juvenile record for theft was dismissed. Eventually, in 1972, Bundy discovered his true passion, which was viciously assaulting his earliest confirmed victim in 1974. Ultimately, Ted Bundy and Charles Manson had completely different upbringings.
Ted Bundy is classified as a serial killer. Over a span of three years, Bundy took the lives of a countless number of people; a number that Bundy has taken to his grave. Various Bundy experts believe he may have started his killings in his early teenage life. While he was a teen a twelve-year-old neighbor disappeared from her house and it was suspected that Bundy was the cause
Many people wonder it takes to make a serial killer. Is there something inherently defective in that person that means that they have the ability to commit murder without remorse or somehow enjoy the suffering or others, or doses childhood abuse and other mistreatment mean that someone will grow up to commit these atrocities? Unfortunately, the conflicting information about Bundy's childhood does little to help answer these questions. On the surface, Bundy's childhood does not appear to feature the level of child abuse or neglect that one normally associates with a serial killer. He was born to a single mother in 1946, a time in which there was a tremendous social stigma attached to being born out of wedlock. However, Bundy did not experience that stigma, as his grandparents raised him as their son. Bundy's own accounts of his childhood vary tremendously. At times, he seems to indicate that he was raised in a stable and loving home, but at other times he
In addition to the crimes committed by these two serial killers, I will now explain the similarities and differences in both spree’s that these men pursued. One of the similarities shared are the amount of murders each man did, both were over a dozen each. Both men went to college and ended up dropping out during the sprees. Bundy was a womanizer who lured women into his car and kidnapped them. Ted Bundy was a very handsome man which made it easy to make friends and lure women with his looks. He was known as the dark-haired man named “Ted”. He pretended to be injured to lure women to his car so he could kidnap them. Ted “Would lure young women to his car, and then beat them to death” according to CNN’s Serial Killers Fast Facts article. Now Jeffrey Dahmer was something else I’ll tell you. Jeffery drugged, raped, and sodomized men and young boys. Dahmer killed 17 males between 1978 and 1991, most of them African American. His style was to meet them at gay bars, or bus stops. Then he would drug them, strangle them and then engage in sex acts with the corpse before diminishing them. He kept the skulls and genitals as souvenirs. He would also keep photographs of the heinous act to later relive the experience.
