Advancements in technology have been changing our culture and society for hundreds of years; from hunters and gatherers to information overload to a future of the most advanced technologies we could imagine. Technology can become handy for the typical person who legitimately does not have enough time on their hands. For example, “[a calculator] can accurately solve mathematical equations it would take humans months to complete in seconds” (Zatarain). This type of technology makes beneficial tasks like balancing chemical equations for the advancement of science, much faster. Another example includes how technological advances can benefit a person’s health. For example a machine called the Cell-CT platform can detect lung cancer by examining “800 physical characteristics to identify lung cancer cells…with virtually no false positive results”; this advanced machine has the ability to save lives and give smokers the heads up to go into treatment (Radcliffe). Smart phones can help you keep your calendar straight, some personal technology helps improve fitness and exercise, and otehr technology improves life at home with advanced new washers and dryers, microwaves, and automatic coffee machines. In fact, three specific reasons that technology is good is that it saves lives by improving medicine, keeps us connected to each other, and provides education and entertainment.

Throughout the course of human history, technological advances have gone hand-in-hand with societal advances. Rather than just contributing to the development of society, one can confidently conclude that technology is the cause for the growth of society. From the stone tools of humanity’s early ancestors to the mechanization of industry and the development of modern tools, like the internet, technology has been the driving force for societal change.

Technology has advanced to new heights since its making. Imagine walking in down town with a two and a half pound device by your ear and all you can do is dial, talk and listen. That was the invention of the first personal mobile phone by Martin Cooper in 1973. The cell phone has come a long way since its introduction. It has now evolved into a pocket-sized computer, camera and apps regarding anything that a being can think of. Cars are now able to start by the press of a button. The purpose of computers was to solve serious number-crunching crisis for the government, but is now use for social media purposes and almost everything else.

Ever since cellular phones first came to be in the 1980’s, people have been using them to carry out conversations, ask questions, or meet new people. Once cell phones reached a height of internet capabilities, smartphones were created. Cell phones from then on ended up changing society entirely. This research study could explain the effects of cell phones from their creation to today’s society and how they would influence the future generations. This study would also focus on the evolution of how cell phones become even more involved in our lives and how they truly influence us. This study would be beneficial to our generation by teaching them how technology is expanding, and the lives of humans will get easier as time goes on. Furthermore, this study would be beneficial as a report on how cell phones came to be in our history. This would expectedly heighten the awareness of society to how different our lives could be according to technological development. To the future researchers, this study could be used as a base for data in future development into how society adapts.

Technology has played an integral part in shaping society in many different ways. Throughout history, technological inventions have changed everything from the way humans are clothed and fed to the very ways we communicate and interact as a species. Examining the effects technology has on society illustrate both how technology shapes culture and society and how society can affect future technology. This can be seen by examining a few of the major technological innovations in human history followed by a look at a new technology and how it may shape future society.

Albert Einstein sums up what the technology we have created for ourselves has done to us in a single quote. “It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity” (Einstein). This one sentence holds many meanings. It means that technology has exceeded what is possible of the human race, that technology has affected us in a way that makes us less human, and that technology has allowed us to reach beyond barriers like language, distance, time, and space.

The evolution of technology has changed society in both positive and negative ways. People all over the world use and benefit from modern technology. Technology has simplified the access to many tools people need in education, medicine, communication, transportation, etc. However, using it too often has its drawbacks as well. In most cases, the time of finishing projects is cut by more than half with the help of technology. Many people do not realize that technology has its negative affects society as well, and its rapid advances has changed life for worse in a number of different ways.

A lot of technology improved for example flight, electricity, communication, transportation and much more other technical development and this was in the 20th century when all this developed . However in this recent times this development has brought a major change to our lives due to our smart phones, laptops , computer etc. this technical things are good advantage to us because it helps us and makes things much easier and quicker to use .
