“Tatum isd, where every student is special.” Our school, Tatum high, just received a large cash gift for having the highest test scores around. I believe we should use the money to update the most important, crucial, productive, and beneficial things to all students. They really need to modernize the restrooms and the transportation, those, to me and many others, are two of the biggest problems at our school.
One reason I think we should use the large cash gift to improve our bathroom system is because there is only one bathroom in the main high school building. There is about five hundred and fifty kids on our campus. Think about that, five hundred and fifty divided by two, two hundred and seventy five girls and boys. If we only have about

All the kids will ride a bus while they’re in school, if it's for a field trip, or to get home, to get to another campus and if you play sports you ride the busses to the away games. Our busses are not superior. In the months of August through November the kids that have to ride the bus home after a long, hard working school day don’t want to be sitting there in a puddle of thiers, and anybody else's sweat waiting for the next stop that brings them closer and closer to their wonderful home, cool home. I wouldn't want to be three to a seat, on that hot bus with everybody's smelly body odor and hot breath. In East Texas our winters are not harsh but the months December through the end of February it's chilly and cold, it’s easier for the little ones to catch a cold. Their noses are going to be running non-stop with no tissues or parent to help wipe the snot off their top lip. If we had good, working busses with air conditioning or a heater we wouldn't have those kinds of problems. Also, we need buses with Seatbelts, Seatbelts should be placed in every single school bus that is transporting children. Firstly, and most importantly, seatbelts would secure the safety of passengers, reduce driver distraction, and reinforce valuable safety habits. Wouldn't you want your child to feel safe, secure, and be protected on his/her daily ride to school on the large, yellow bus? The safety of students is the first priority of all adults, parents, and faculty. If this is the case, then there shouldn't be any buses without seatbelts. There is no doubt about it: seatbelts save lives. Another doubtless fact is that cars, buses, and trucks get into accidents daily, across the nation. Seatbelts save the lives of students riding these buses, with unfortunate consequences, depending on how severe the crash
In the early months of 2002, Juneau-Douglas High School in Juneau Alaska, held a school-sponsored and faculty supervised event, held off of school property, to observe the Olympic Torch pass through their area. When television cameras began to turn in the direction of a group of students, they unfurled a banner with the phrase “BONG HiTS [sic] 4 JESUS”. The school principle, Deborah Morse, told the students to remove the banner and one of them named Joseph Frederick refused, compelling Morse to confiscated the banner claiming it promoted illegal drug use and suspended Frederick [1]. The school district superintendent supported Morse and permitted the suspension, stating the banner was in violation of school policy by endorsing the use of
Youth is currently attending Dieruff High School. Youth has a history of not attending school. Youth struggles with assignments in school, which is hurting his GPA. Youth struggles with a negative peer association. Youth struggles with controlling his anger and it lead to him getting into an altercation with a sercutiy guard at school. The incident cause the youth to be detain and placed on probation.
Do you think Conroe high school should change there rules. I think conroe should change the hat rule to be able to where it in school.
Do you remember the pep-rallies from sixth grade? Remember how we sixth graders could not wait until seventh grade to sit on the bleachers instead of the gym floor? Back in 2013, Larkspur Middle School got rid of pep-rallies since it was a safety hazard to have too many people in the gym at the same time. Instead, they replaced pep-rallies with spirit parades, so teams parade around the school for about fifteen minutes and basically back up the whole school day. I think the best way to bring school spirit back at Larkspur is to get rid of spirit parades, bring pep-rallies back, and hold them outside.
outs, and a lot more examples. People from the surrounding areas would gain from this
Ela-Vernon East was the first name of today’s Adlai E. Stevenson High School. Ela-Vernon East was the second school in the Ela-Vernon Township High School District with district offices in Lake Zurich. Because of the growing disagreement between Ela-Vernon West and Ela-Vernon East, current Stevenson, about the direction the school should take, Adlai E. Stevenson High School was born in November 1965. The school was to open as a school for freshman and sophomores living in the area. Juniors and seniors were to continue to attend Ela-Vernon West in Lake Zurich (http://www.d125.org).
Sometimes, school is competitive. It can become so competitive that students will lie or go so far as to cheat. Some will even kill. Honor Students at Driftwood City High School partake in an Honors English Literature class that ends the year with an exam. The three students who score highest on this test receive a Distinguished Writers Foundation scholarship. This is both a great honor as well as a way to get into the nation's most prestigious colleges and universities. As this is such a serious event, cheating consequences are severe. The first offence results in a failing grade regarding that assignment. Also, the student in question receives a one day suspension from school. If the student decides to cheat a second time, the consequence
Students at Wilson High School, Governor Mifflin, Twin Valley, and Reading High School on Tuesday the 4th of October were horrified to learn that their schools had been threatened online. The Instagram account “gigglez_is.real” warned students at these schools that three clowns would show up at 12:30 on October the 5th in each school to murder or seriously injure students and teachers.
I came into Norwalk Community College looking for a fresh start. I previously attended a 4 year university that became too much for me; attending school full-time, working 30 hours per week while trying to enjoy the college experience. At the cost of an “experience” I ended up failing most of my classes, putting my health at risk drowned by the tremendous amount of stress and just wanted to completely give up. Looking for a fresh start I decided to leave my University, and attend Norwalk Community College. Though this decision created self-doubt in the beginning, it soon came to my realization that it was the best decision I ever made. Immersed in an environment full of positive people, I was able to put my pieces back together.
This social issue has been in the spotlight for quite some time now and is the leading cause for students to miss school, become less social, cause self harm and even in some cases death. Bullying and harassment are commonly seen for the most part amongst teenagers who face issues at school, not only does this happen here in the United States, but in schools universally. ¨17% of American students report being bullied 2 to 3 times a month or more within a school semester¨ (Valerie). Although this is mostly seen among teens it can also happen between children and even adults. Bullying can occur everyday throughout Madera High School and no one would be able to acknowledge or stand up for the victim. Vice Principals at MHS have said that more
Conroe High School has many rules. Many are silly and some are actually very important. The one rule I think is silly is being able to get tardies after lunch and it should be changed because some of the Conroe High students eat their lunch in a different room or even a different part of the school, and also the tardies that are possible to get after lunch you can't necessarily get rid of even if it’s because lunch took too long.
I’m writing this memo because I believe the best way to donate one billion dollars is to fund the construction of a science and technology museum in the Detroit inner city. This museum will not only provide a safe learning environment but also foster a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in disadvantaged students. This museum will feature a program that will fund student research and products. This museum will create a safe place for students to study and learn about STEM, that is why I am placing it near Northwestern High School in Detroit. I will evaluate success using test scores from Northwestern because students in this district have very little access to academic resources. I will be donating this money for 3 main reasons:
Byron High School has been a great place for me to grow and complete my high school education. With it’s wonderful staff and positive learning environment this school has helped me reach my highest potential. I believe with the education I have rechieved I will be able to reach my goal of becoming a kindergarten teacher.
When you see so many incidents lately on the news regarding the students riding the bus, the lack of supervision, and sometimes the harmful acts being done to other students; you wonder why these things are happening. Or perhaps there was an accident involving a bus where a student was severely hurt. I am for seatbelts being on school buses for the simple fact that anything could happen on a bus even an accident and the students should be safe. The issue of seatbelts on a bus is not a huge controversial issue compared to other issues such as whether or not English should be the official language or abortion, but it is an important issue to be discussed and made a decision on.
School buses, for as long as anyone can remember, have had no seat belts and children, for the most part, have been fine and ultimately safe. People may think this is unsafe and it sort of is but if something were to happen and these children could not get out of their seats fast enough a lot of circumstances could go wrong. Children enjoy their first bus ride and they do not want to be bombarded with all of this controversy over whether or not it is safe; they just want to get to school and back home. That is all a school bus is really, a short ride to and from school. Seat belts should not be required for school buses because children most likely would not wear them anyway and that could cause more danger, children should have a say as to whether they wear a seatbelt or not, and seat belts can cause a restricting situation where students could not exit the bus quickly and safely.
