Task Analysis Behavior/Skill to be Trained The skill I will be focusing on with the employees of Alam Realty is how to better communicate using non-verbal communication. Non-verbal communication such as active listening, watching for customer’s body language cues and being aware of their own body positions, are important skills for sales professionals because the sales transaction depends on good communication. From the Needs Assessment, it has been determined there are several areas of non-communication that need to be covered in training. Listening skills that focus on giving full attention to the customer, nodding their head the use of non-lexical fillers and appropriate eye contact. The training will also cover first impressions, facial …show more content…
I will start the session by standing in a slouched position, looking at the ground and speaking to the trainees and tell them a little history of myself, I will than straighten my posture and look directly at the trainees and ask them if they can repeat any of what I said. I will then repeat the story and see if they notice the difference in the non-verbal techniques. The icebreaker will be another lesson in non-verbal body language which should give the trainees a good understanding of what the training session will be focused on. I will then show a PowerPoint presentation and lecture on what non-verbal communication is and how to look for body language cues in other people. There will be time for questions and answers at this point. There will be a 15-minute break at this point. After the break, I will ask the class to give me all the non-verbal gestures they can think of and I will write these down on the white board. We will then put them into lists of good and bad gestures. This will give the trainees a good idea of what the good non-verbal cues are and how to start focusing on them. I will present the class with sales scenarios and since we will have approximately 8 people in the class I will have each one take turns in being the real estate agent. I will record them during their role play and after lunch we will resume with the other half of trainers. At this point we will break for
For example David Busst would have a significant scar tissue from where he broke his fibula and tibula as when he did break those bones they ripped through his skin meaning it was a compound break. It is likely that he would have a scar from where they bone went through the skin and a scar from where his leg was re straightened and put into his leg again. For example he may have a scar similar to the scar tissue in the diagram below but it may be very deep due to the extent of his injury.
Before the children come to school, I will give myself thirty minutes for planning. During my planning time, I will review my day’s plans and ensure I have all necessary materials are available to the children. When the children arrival to school, I will greet them and assist them if need with storing their belonging. Breakfast will be prepared for the children with serving bowls to sever themselves. When the children are finish eating breakfast, the quite centers, such as math and manipulatives and literacy centers, will be available for the children to enter. At nine o’clock I will signal for the children to store their materials away and we will transition to having our group meeting. During our group meeting, we have an open discussion
During this unit, we learned about polynomials, projectiles, and the history of the Civil War. These were all tied together in our project where we pretended to sink the USS Cairo by calculating what it would take to fire a cannon at such a ship. We tested these calculations after measuring various values through a water balloon simulation from an elevated position with a trebuchet. Then after we re-ran the calculations with error analysis adjustments and real values we got from our trip from Alabama. So we applied new concepts in physics and math to a real life situation to cement our learning.
5. What nonverbal communication skills and strategies could be used to communicate effectively in this situation?
In 1615 the East India Company acquired its first territory in Bombay, India. The East India Company was a British company that traded for goods, services, and raw materials with India. What initially started as a trading company became a company ruling a country with Brittan’s backing. The company established an army in India comprised mostly of local citizens called Sepoys. With help from the British army and navy, the East India Company fought other European countries also occupying India for control of the region. By 1715 the EIC and Brittan had beaten back the French in the Battle of Plassey. This secured their dominance in India and a
In preparation of a review from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) Nightingale Community Hospital will focus on improving its communication process in the operating room. Mr. President, on July 18, 2014 the United States Sentencing Commission amended policy 1B1.10. This amendment, amendment 782, reduced the offense levels of federal inmates with statutory mandatory minimum penalties in 2D1.1, by two levels.
Non-verbal communication is very important and is often more important than verbal communication. This consists of eye contact, hand and body language and facial expressions.
Although the task force does effectively address the problem of substance abuse and addictive disorders, it does not effectively address co-occurring disorders. Early on in the text, a co-occurring disorder is defined as an individual who has a substance abuse disorder and a mental disorder at the same time. The task force mainly focuses on substance abuse. There are elements that are present in the treatment such as release prevention, engagement, and persuasion. The task force provides a number of interventions strategies address problems with substance use.
Non-verbal communication is used to give us cues about what is being communicated (Underman and Boggs, 2011) and involves listening, eye contact, body language, facial expressions and movements. Posture can be open or closed reflecting a person’s emotions and attitudes (skillsyouneed, 2014). Listening can create trust, act as an advocate and build a therapeutic rapport with the patient. Barriers to listening are a noisy environment, tone of voice, timing and tiredness. Kinesics (body language) is an important non-verbal skill that involves the conscious or unconscious body positioning or actions of the communicator (Underman and Boggs, 2011). Following the SOLER guideline is useful. S- Sit squarely to the person (face them). O- Maintain an open position, L- Lean slightly forward, E- Maintain comfortable eye contact and R- Relax and take your time (Egan, 2002).
Good verbal communication is an inseparable part of professional communication. In a business, I believe you come across people from various ages, cultures and races. Fluent verbal communication is essential, to deal with people in important meetings or other events/situations. I also think that a self-confidence plays a vital role which when clubbed with fluent communication skills can lead to success and I make sure I don’t forget this when communicating in my job role.

Throughout the entirety of Task 1 I faced many challenges and I was also gifted with many positives. One of the first few things that went quite well for me was that when I was put into my group most of us had already worked together prior to this task. Also being that we had already worked together we knew what we were interested in, so this made choosing our topic rather easy. Then we decided which lense we would each be tackling this process went almost just as easily however we did have to do some preliminary research prior to setting our lenses in stone. This was because we wanted to make sure that when we did each choose our lense that we did not in any way overlap each other's information in what we were planning to discuss. So then
