Animal cruelty is a huge problem in this Country, to bring awareness I am going to start the Tan Paws Ribbon Campaign. To bring awareness I am going to point out how important an animal’s life is just as important, they have feelings. They feel pain, fear, as well as abandonment. People think that because they have fur that they should be treated differently.Their lives are just as important as ours. Cruelty and neglect cross socio-economic boundaries, and media reports suggest that animal abuse is common in both rural and urban areas. (Humane society of the United States, 2016) The problem, is that these abusive people believe that its ok .The abuser should feel the same abuse these poor abused animals feel, like an eye for an eye .One way
Pets Have Feelings Too Don’t you just love your pet? If you don’t have one, what about your neighbor's pet? Or the animal you see in the pet store in the mall. Do you ever stop to think about animals without homes, not having people to love and care for them?
Every 60 seconds an animal is abused. Dogs, cats, horses, and many other types of animals are being neglected and tortured everyday, yet resulting in few and minor consequences for the perpetrators. Animal abuse is prevalent in the United States and has been an ongoing issue since the 1970's, and prior to. Society as a whole has chosen to avoid the facts and arguments about animal cruelty, because to some it is seen as acceptable and typical. It becomes much more frowned upon when people actually see the results of the cruelty, especially in the media.
Murder and abuse cases never fail to startle society. Moral codes are flouted with unmatched rigorousness by these indubitable egregious crimes. Sufferers in these cases are often people. Nonetheless, these callous obscenities should not be seen as less important when animals are the victims. Animals undergo horrendous abuse due to barbaric individuals, greed, and unnecessary lab testing.
Over the centuries, animals have suffered from cruelty from humans. In the United States, animals are beaten, neglected, or forced to struggle for survival. Animals have been inflicted with pain from humans for reasons other than self-defense. They have been slaughtered for their food and fur for personal gain in profit. In a majority of cases they have even been abused for someone’s own personal amusement or out of rage filled impulses. In some cases animals are found and rescued. They are given the second chance in life to experience what life should be like compared to what they once had.
Animal abuse awareness is very important because it is showing that harm to an animal is not okay, it is a crime, and should not be taken lightly. Animals feel too, “dogs don’t hide what they feel” ( Marc Bekoff, The Emotional
“It is quite clear that in abusing animals we abuse our relationship with animals, and that we abuse ourselves. We become less human to the extent that we treat any living beings as things” (R.D. Laing). There is a very evident connection between animal cruelty and cruelty to other humans. In studies conducted between 1983 and 2004, 60% of children who met the criteria for child abuse/neglect had families that were cruel to their pets. In 88%
1. ATTENTION GETTER: Millions of animals are abused each year. Over a million of these animals are abused or killed just due to the involvement with domestic violence. Despite animal cruelty being a felony which can result in jail time for over 15 years and 500,000 dollars in fines, it is still an issue which occurs on a daily basis across the United States. It is important for these animals to not go unnoticed, which can be achieved if society became more enlightened and educated on the topic of animal cruelty. (Pacelle, 2011).
Animals are a big part of many people’s lives. They provide companionship; they provide daily assistance to those that have deficits and are having difficulty functioning in their daily life; they provide security and help keep a watchful eye on things, plus so much more. And yet, with all that animals do for us, there are those that are treated with such little regard, care, and cruelty. They are unable to speak for themselves and therefore, they need a voice to speak for them.
Animal abuse must end, about 1,654,545,000,000, animals die each year of cruelty animal. In addition, animals like every living being feel pain, they are also capable of powerful emotional attachments, and animals are vital to the human's survival. First, animals feel pain not only physical pain but suffer emotionally as well. For instance, when separate puppies from their mothers, dogs lose appetite and become depressed, the same goes for any species. Additionally, animals experience emotional pain in depending on how their owners treat them.
Each year, the most extreme cases of animal abuse receive media attention. Yet, the animal cruelty problem is more widespread than is reported in the media. Animal abuse and neglect is a nationwide issue, affecting thousands of animals nationwide. Cruelty to animals is defined as the infliction of physical pain, suffering or death on an animal, beyond what is necessary. There is a need to stop abusers from acting in such a horrific manner–preventing the neglect and suffering of the animals. What causes animal abusers to act in such a cruel way towards animals? How are cases of animal abuse being managed, and how should cases be handled? Finally, does the status of animals in society contribute to the rate of their abuse?
This is an important issue we shouldn’t be so cruel to animals. Animal don’t understand our language and don’t communicate with us. But it doesn’t give us the right to treat them whatever we want like the animals don’t feel pain, fear, frustration, loneliness just like human do. Most animals live their lives in cage enable to move until we use them to eat or fur and experiments. Everyone should know that the animal are important to us and the environment.
Humanity has lost its heart, tolerating these immense criminal acts and massive massacres against beautiful creatures around our Mother Earth has even cost us more than just our hearts. The fur industry is one of the cruelest industries in the world, making an animal go through so much pain and suffering just to be sold for a very cheap price in dozen, as humans our job is to protect these poor animals by raising awareness against how much agony and torture animals go through, plus we must encourage people to boycott any brand that uses fur. The most killed animal species for their fur are Minks, secondly foxes and then Chinchillas. They’re kept imprisoned and caged up in unsanitary and crowded cages helplessly watching their kind being slaughtered mercilessly and then thrown into a pile of murdered animals, what’s worse is that they are in line for the mass slaughter of either having their skin ripped off their bodies or being smashed against a wall and after that they will be disposed of just like a piece of a gum wrapper, their death comes when the excruciating pain becomes too much to
Many times when people think of social activism they fail to realize that social activism includes animals as well. However, social activism is a very broad topic that includes people, animals, and the environment. Animal abuse is a major issue in America, abuse towards domesticated and wild animals is still relatively prevalent. The goal of Bobbi and The Strays is to take in neglected, abused and unwanted animals and find loving homes for them. Bobbi and The Strays are also a no kill shelter meaning that regardless of whether or not an animal is old or “unadoptable” they will not be killed in order to make more space. Many shelters within America will euthanize healthy animals if they have been living in the shelter too long or are old. Bobbi and The Strays overall mission to help keep animals safe and healthy addresses the issue of animal abuse in the United States of
Animal Cruelty is a subject that spreads far across the United States and into most civilized cultures. Animal cruelty can either be in the form of intentional abuse, simple neglect, or abandonment of animals. Whatever forms the abuse takes, however, the animal that is the victim of the abuse is often helpless and may experience extreme suffering. Animal right activist feel if you don’t know how to take care or treat an animal it can be as deadly as physical abuse to care for one.
Animal welfare issues exist everywhere in the world, some places more so than others. In saying that, over the years thanks to organizations like PETA, SSCS, SAFE and IDA and so many more amazing groups have led society to become more aware of the problems that exist when it comes to issues relating to the proper care of animals. One very important example of animal cruelty is animals that are brutally skinned for their fur, whether it's dogs in China or seals being culled for their fur, it's inhumane. This is mostly because of the lack of compassion the fashion industry has when it comes to fur. No matter how you look at it, there is no way to make a fur coat in a humane way. Whether fur comes from animal farms or from wild animals, it is simply a barbaric action. Animals killed for their fur in animal farms are normally electrocuted by having an electrical cable attached to their mouths and another cable inserted into their rectum. Wild animals that are caught for their fur are usually trapped in a steel leghold trap, a device that has been proven to be completely inhumane and has, in fact, been banned in 65 countries, but is still allowed in the United States.
