There have been some debates recently within the political and scientific communities of global warming: if it's real, what’s causing it, and what we can do to stop it. There are many natural factors such as water vapour or variations in the sun’s energy that could be causing global warming; but, there is also evidence that is man made by rising carbon dioxide emissions.
In the previously mentioned debates, scientists are going back and forth on whether or not man made carbon dioxide emissions lead to global warming. Some say natural causes alone cannot explain climate change, after the Industrial Revolution in the 1800s, but rather that human activities are likely a major factor. However, others say that the only reason climate change is chalked up to being man made is simply because scientists have not done the proper research required to find evidence

Basically, more CO2 means a warmer climate.
So, why might humans be to blame for rising CO2 levels? It all started with the Industrial Revolution. At the start of it, there were 280 parts per million of CO2 in the atmosphere. In 2014, there were 400 ppm, the highest it had been for a million years; however, another source said atmospheric CO2 levels are higher than they have been for 15-20 million years, and that a change of ppm that should take 5,000-20,000 years has occurred in 120.
These increases are due to fossil fuel burning, a human activity that produces carbon emissions. This is one of the reasons as to the statement made by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change that it is extremely likely that human activity causes global warming, an over 95%
The main source of the increased levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is the burning of fossil fuels, causing 75% of the increase.
Today, atmospheric CO2 concentration has nearly increased by 25 percent, and the global temperature has risen by nearly 1.25 degrees as reported in 2014 (U.S. Global Change Research Program, 2014), as part of a continuous rise since the 1800s. This may seem small but are having a huge effect on the Earth and causing global warming, and in turn, climate change. These changes are predominantly blamed on humans, through actions such as fossil fuel consumption, deforestation, and increased agricultural production and
Global Warming has been a very serious conversation over the last decade, because it affects every person living on the planet whether we choose to believe it or not. Most of the scientific community claims that global warming is to blame for the changes in Earth’s climate. However, there are a small number of scientists who deny the very existence of global warming. Temperatures on earth have increased approximately 1.4°F since the early 20th century. Over time, atmospheric levels of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) have notably increased. Both sides in the debate surrounding global climate change agree on the CO2 and CH4 being increased and that’s it.
Global warming is one of the most tumultuous topics in today’s society. Some believe it is happening as we speak, while others question its very existence, So, is it real, or is merely a hoax? There is no one answer, but evidence does overwhelmingly support the former. Surely we have all heard this word at one time or another, but few individuals actually know its true definition. Justifiably, however, global warming is not that simply explained. In layman’s terms, it is the dramatic increase in the Earth’s average air and ocean temperature since the 20th century. This increase is primarily attributed to two main culprits: the greenhouse effect and human activity, such as fossil fuel burning. In both cases, carbon dioxide (CO2) is the
Climate change is no doubt one of the greatest threats to this planet today. Coastal cities flooding due to melting ice caps and rising water levels, cities experiencing extreme weather, and ocean life dying because of warmer water temperatures, it is not wonder why so many scientist and country leaders are worried about the safety and future of their country. The U.S. is just one of these countries where climate change endangers 323 million people. That is why the U.S. must take action to ac=assure the future of their residents and safety of their numerous coastal cities. Due to the reising coastal water levels and the revoking of past federal orders, President Trump should initiate more federal acts that acknowledge the need for the preparation of coastal military bases and communities due to rising water levels, provide more support and financial aid to the benefit of coastal military bases, and greater explain ways to deal with the progression of climate change instead of just dealing with the adaptation.
The best choice for the nominee of the Republican party for 2016 is Dr. Ben Carson. He is a master of communication. He is the only candidate that can make the United States of America united again. He is a regular citizen rather than a politician. He is the perfect example of what it means to live the American Dream. Dr. Carson is a highly intelligent and accomplished physician who is seen as a breath of fresh air in this world that is full of politics. Lastly, because he is the only nominee that can get America back to what the original founding fathers wanted for the United States of America.
A scientist that reports for National Geographic Magazine stated, “Since 1990, yearly emissions have gone up by about six billion metric tons of “carbon dioxide equivalent” worldwide, more than a 20 percent increase”(“Causes of Global Warming”) Humans are the cause of global warming. Overpopulation of the human race has resulted in a multitude of carbon dioxide gas getting trapped in the atmosphere, warming the earth as if it was a greenhouse. Carbon dioxide (Co2) is a “waste” gas of human beings. One human approximately exhales two and one third pounds of carbon dioxide gas a day(Palmer) Consequently, the gas is warming the earth from the core up. Humans are the cause of global warming.
Every year the average American produces over 22 metric tons of CO2 living a normal life (“What is Carbon Neutrality,” 2008); and the United States as a whole produces 6,049,435 metric tons of CO2 yearly (“List of Countries by CO2 Emissions,” 2010). This disturbing figure is the main cause of global warming and we have yet to take responsibility for our actions. There are many different theories of what has caused global warming and the answer is mankind. Humans are the cause of global warming because of pollution, over population, and deforestation.
Scientists have come up with some observations to support this theory, as follows scientists believe that most of the carbon dioxide which is trapped in the atmosphere is caused by human activities such as using cars, planes and electricity which allows it to lead to emission of very harmful gasses into the atmosphere. Before humans existed, the temperature of the Earth increased as it began to age only which took a very long time, however since humans existed the process of temperature rising on the Earth has sped up. Factors such as deforestation has also affected the temperature of the Earth as loss of trees release excessive amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere which also affects plants and trees which use that emitted carbon
Do to the climate changes, I believe that us humans caused it to be happening. I have
Humans are burning fossil fuels to power their cars, their housed, etc. which emits carbon dioxide
Evidence of Climate Change is being felt around the world. The most vulnerable areas are the least developed, which lack public instruments and infrastructure to adapt to the extreme effects of climate. Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is vital to slow the progress of climate change, however, adapting to the consequences of this intensified climate crisis by the human being itself is key. Some countries understand it, others just cannot do too much about it. New evidence shows that Climate Change has affected many sectors in Asia. Crop yields in several countries have declined, due in part to increased temperature and external weather events. The retreat of glaciers and permafrost in Asia in recent years has no precedent and is a consequence
The planet has been experiencing considerable climate change for the last several decades. There have been many explanations toward the main causes of the increased warming of the planet. On one hand are the environmentalists who believe that the major cause of this increased warming of the planet is the increase in greenhouse gases in the atmosphere induced by human activities. On the other hand, the scientists believe that there are natural causes of global climate change. While the supporters of the man-made theory of global climate change reason that the major greenhouse gas causing global warming is carbon dioxide, the advocates of natural causes
Why are greenhouse gas concentrations increasing? Scientists generally believe that the combustion of fossil fuels and other human activities are the primary reason for the increased concentration of carbon dioxide. Plant respiration and the decomposition of organic matter release more than 10 times the CO2 released by human activities; but these releases have generally been in balance during the centuries leading up to the industrial revolution with carbon dioxide absorbed by terrestrial vegetation and the oceans.
This excess of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere is due to the world's growing population burning more fossil fuels, such as coal, oil and natural gas for energy, as well as expanding agriculture and increasing deforestation. The Industrial Revolution. Around 200 years ago, the Industrial Revolution ushered in an era in which humans rely on fossil fuels to run the many machines used in industry and everyday life. The burning of fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
