Autism falls under the ASD or Autism Spectrum Disorder which is broad term that categorizes similar disorders. The disorders fall under that umbrella term due to the fact that they allocate similar characteristics/symptoms.

Autism is a disorder in which its cause makes it impossible to prevent and it takes a toll on its victim’s everyday life tasks.

In 2013, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) merged all Autism Disorders under one umbrella termed ASD so that it will improve the diagnosis of ASD without limiting the sensitivity of the criteria or substantially changing the number of children being diagnosed.
