Located within the harbor in the city of Oceanside, California is the Oceanside Broiler restaurant. Oceanside Broiler has some pretty spectacular views, with patios on both sides of the restaurant, each with nearly panoramic views of the harbor water. Rows and rows of luxurious yachts, sailboats, and fishing boats that cannot help but to beg your attention make the harbor bay home, and a marine life that is sure to entertain you while dining on the patio. Oceanside Broiler offers a decent size menu specializing in fresh seafood, sushi and steak; the food presentation is something to be gazed at as well. With the atmosphere setting this restaurant up so nicely, the service team and hospitality was surely to be just as inviting. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Inattentive, rude, inhospitable and unknowledgeable staff was there to take what could have been an all around amazing experience to one that was sure to make a return visit highly unlikely.

In Anne Taylor’s Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant the negative effects of a broken marriage are continually presented throughout the novel by describing the irony of becoming the very same personality type that causes the characters the most distress. This illustrates that he never truly assimilated into his family, which made it easier for him to leave. His departure changed the family’s dynamic by breaking what we think a family structure should be, which it usually includes two parents, leaving Pearl Tull alone to take up the responsibilities of both the nurturing parent and the disciplinary figure. When it comes to dining-in at a restaurant we all want the best service that we can get. When I think of “the best service” I think about the cleanliness, nice waitresses, good food, and affordable prices. There are so many different options when a family thinks about going out to eat, especially if they have small children. It’s often hard to go to a nice dine-in restaurant because sometimes it’s hard to find something on the menu for everyone in the family. I have experienced many things at two completely different restaurants. I can say Demos’ is better than Logan’s because the food and service is much better.

Once I stepped inside the restaurant I automatically could hear the music playing at a moderate level and the laughter of the customers. Right off the back the restaurant's ambiance had a positive vibe. Mindful, it was a Saturday late afternoon. Mary Jane Burger and Brew is a local restaurant trying to stay true to its past. The granddaughter of the original owner now runs the place with the intention of serving good quality food where the ingredients are fresh, mouth watering, and surely not filled with antibiotics and all that other genetically modified elements found in processed foods. The vintage, rustic looking place, holds a small town atmosphere with a big taste.
