Sustainability Sustainability is a concept to meet the needs of the future generation. Sustainability has been developing through the concern of society to the economy and ecology. Sustainability is important in the long run because we live depending on the natural resources that we have so in order for us to have a better life. In our generation we are already experiencing global warming, ozone depletion, greenhouse effect we have to prevent it because it is us who will suffer from the effect of those problems. So we should start on solving these issues by minimizing the usage of natural resources or we could replace it to be able for the next generation to have a resource to be use. It can also effect in the business in the long run …show more content…
4. The natural capitalism idea is that business will have opportunities without limitations in the resources. In order to be able to maintain its profit business should practice sustainability, to increase the productivity, closed loop can also be applied and adopt zero waste in the industry to eliminate waste and recognize natural resources.
5. Natural step aligns to stakeholders to understand the decisions and to be able to apply sustainability. In order for the community and the organization to be successful there should be proper implementation and right usage of the resources.
6. The approach of the natural step is to have sustained by creating different strategies in order to have a healthy and to continue the process. There are four phases of the program: stakeholders should have a common understanding and common decision to be able to meet sustainability,
7. Industrial ecology is considered as the science of sustainability. The concept of industrial ecology is like ecosystem there should be no waste and the end of the one process should be the beginning of another. So we should know how to replace by of what we use in because a natural resource has its limitations.
8. Zero Emissions Research Initiative (ZERI) goals are to have sustainability of biodiversity, to eliminate waste, to have creativity and efficient design. Like Natural Step it has a similar concept
Putting a higher value on nature is a step towards the creation of a green economy. Jobs are created on better terms locally and the people can work together, with a better cleaner water supply.
Sustainability relates to the ongoing capacity of Earth to maintain all life, which means developing ways to ensure that all resources on Earth are used and managed responsibly so they can be maintained for future generations.
The three pillars are environmental, social and economically sustainability. However in this report, environmental sustainability will be brought to light, the two other pillars will be trivial. In order for environmental sustainability to be defined, general sustainability must be defined. Sustainability is the ability to continue a defined behaviour indefinitely (Thwink.org, 2015). For the environment, there are three aspects which must be sustained for, renewable resources, non-renewable resources and pollution. Therefore, environmental sustainability is the degree of pollution emission, renewable resource production and non-renewable resource consumption that can be continued indefinitely for future use. plan and break down those steps into listed action items which support the overall work. The
The steps that were involves was step one conducting and analysis, step 2 building a relationship, step 6 develop strategies and step 8 develop and implement action plans.
The fourth phase is strategic issues in which participants create a methodical list of the most important issues that the community is dealing with. The issues are identified by looking at the results from the assessments and figuring out how those issues have an effect on the attainment of the shared vision. In phase five which is goals/strategies, the participants take the strategic issues recognized in the prior phase and make goal statements related to those issues. Then broad strategies are established in order to address the issues and achieve the goals related to the community's vision. This phase causes the development and implementation of an interrelated set of strategy assertions. The action cycle phase involves three activities: planning, implementation, and evaluation. This is the phase where results are produced as the action

The natural step framework is an approach for tackling environmental problems built on agreement and systems assessment (Bruekner 2010, 63). Its main aim is to make organizations move towards sustainability by developing a
Sustainability planning should be made on the local, national and international levels. We need to be able to utilize our economic and natural resources in a way that will enhance
Phase 1 - Establish the foundation. These alignment and analysis steps are necessary to obtain executive sponsorship and the commitment of resources from all stakeholders. Without a basis of business impact analysis and risk assessment, the plan cannot succeed and may not even be developed.
* In third step, I build a strong vision to assist the change efforts and also develop a plan to attain the stated vision.
One positive implication capitalism has to the natural environment is industrial ecology, a system of chain production and consumption, serving to the lowest environmental impacts in a most environmentally sustainable economy as the main goal of operation (Richards & Pearson, 1998). The Companies in a like to operate in such way because of four major reasons. The most important factor is known as the corporate well-being, for it is determined by higher profits and growth provided by innovations in an industry. Profits are increased from recognizing the production ineffiency costs that comes from wasted inputs and energy losses; this allowing cost savings to increase and ineffiency to decrease. compliance with cleaner technology alternatives such as ones that produce less waste and less energy will provide long term savings which are both beneficial to the environment and the business at hand. A real world example freight company changes their salvaged driving equipment to hybrid vehicles. Money is temporarily lost, but the gasoline and maintenances cost savings will compensate in a long run period of time.
Sustainability is a topic that has become very important in recent years. Sustainability is defined as, “the ability to continue a defined behavior indefinitely.” ("Finding and Resolving the Root Causes of the Sustainability Problem", 2014)
Every living being are directly or indirectly depend on natural environment. Sustainability helps to balance financial, social, and environmental factors to facilitate responsible business decision making over the immediate and long term. . Sustainability refers to meeting the needs of present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs (Oxford University press 1987, p.43). Sustainability is also being protective and aware of use of natural resources and development that meets the need of present and everything that is need for our survival and well being depends, directly or indirectly on our natural environment. According to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Sustainability is
