Considering the deceitful systemic factors of Susan’s family dynamics, social interactions, and environment, it is important to understand why Susan chose to refrain from disclosing her past. The traumatic experiences of Susan’s past prompt her to anger which influenced her to sue a defense mechanism to protect herself from reality and it prevented her from seeing a possibility for change. Susan perception of her situation is based on past experiences that resulted in her depression. Social workers should promote self-determination and allow the client to move at a pace that is acceptable for them. In reference to Susan’s situation, she has been dealing with a conflict of the past that currently remains active in her life (Infobase, personal

On April 8, 2016 at approximately 1500 hours, I made contact with Heather Curtis at 8307 Centennial Road in reference to a domestic dispute. Mrs. Curtis stated that her husband Marc Curtis sent her multiple text messages to her phone stating that she couldn’t have the kids and that the police would have to kill him before he goes to jail or give her the kids back. This was the result of an argument after Mrs. Curtis refused to pick him up from work because he had taken her EBT card. Mrs. Curtis stated that he hasn’t been acting normal and may possibly be going through a psychotic break. Mrs. Curtis was advised to go to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office to get a restraining order and given a copy of this report number. Mrs. Curtis was also
Shannon met with several of Janet’s clients. After meeting with clients, she discovered a pattern in which the clients would report that they have not seen Janet in 2 to 3 months. However, the case files reflected face-to-face contact with all of her clients, despite what her clients stated. When Shannon investigated further, she found that the client notes were all at the same day and time, which is unlikely. Further, several of Janet’s clients needed referrals for counseling, but Janet never
In 2005 a group of citizens including Dr. Abdullah and I challenged the high ground water deliberately propandize. Harold Willis (RIP) who lead the defeat of the Meteropolitan Water takeover provided evidence that San Bernardino had no extra water for outsiders. And for those who are interested click on my personal website: deanaadams.com and find the topic on Lakes and Streams. Now, Susan Longville desires to silence and take away our voting rights. First, no idea what would happened to 2000 people in 2005. Secondly, no idea of the outcome pertaining to duct taped citizens hoping leaders would serve well. I apologize, this city has proving that interest is for a few not for us. Come and ask her questions about the Lakes and Streams and find

I learned some new things from the case article that were not mentioned in Cynthia Cooper’s book titled Extraordinary Circumstances. However, the gist of it was the same. I will focus my paragraphs based on the three questions.
In the video vignettes of Ann and Martha both present with different symptoms. Ann describes racing energy, sleeplessness, and how many things she accomplished during a manic phase. She stated she was always more high than low regarding her moods. Ann described a depressed mood as lack of interest, difficulty concentrating, and agitation. In her hyper-manic state, she felt as though she was racing through her projects and ideas to the point of alienating others. She referenced a summer where she began and completed numerous projects in different countries and had achieved so much. Martha presented oppositely of Ann and experienced low/depressed moods. She felt as if she was out of her mind, her world was black, and being unable to sleep. She also stated that food had no taste, she felt weak, lost, and cried a great deal. She also reported screaming into her pillow, so that others could not hear her. Due to her ethnicity (Oriental), she felt more comfortable going her family doctor, rather than someone in the mental health community. They prescribed her anti-depressants and after a few months, she felt like she had now had goals and less ashamed.
In my future social work career, it is imperative to be cognizant of my personal experiences and preconceptions regarding mental illness. As I participant in evaluation and diagnosis of mental illness, I will utilize a blank slate mentality. I will strive to prevent previous clients’ behavior, the individual’s current diagnoses, and personal judgments to cloud my diagnosis or interactions.
She wanted to file a formal complaint about the CW case worker Laura Atkins. Lesina said that Laura does everything that Jessica wants, Jessica lies many times and even though she presented proof of it and also hos Jessica had threatened her son, those documents were never presented to the judge. She said that when she spoke about these issues to Laura's supervisor, she had said her family needs to be best friends of Laura.
On February 26, 1861, the U.S Senate passed An Act to Organize the Territory of Nevada and it was finally established after ten years. If Nevada becomes a part of Arizona, gambling will not be established, since Arizona has a strict law on gambling. There’s not enough profit due to the strict laws on gambling and many people will become unemployed because the majority of Las Vegas consist of casino businesses. Nevada will probably take on an agricultural route instead of the gaming business. Nevada is a state that attracts many tourists due to the gambling industries and the entertainment in the casinos. I don’t think Las Vegas will become what it is today and instead it will be changed into something entirely.
Many people come to social workers with a victim mentality, feeling helpless and without a future based on their past. They have been discouraged, beat down and made to feel broken. Being a victim of abuse, trauma, toxic relationships or a victim of assault are all unfortunate circumstances, but they can be overcome. It may seem like a challenge, but it is possible with assistance and God. As social workers we are to provide client’s who have experienced repeated trauma with support and resources to assist them in their journey to a hopeful life. Painful experiences seem to get the best of us at times, but focusing on the client’s ability to survive these horrific events can give the client just the push they need to see that they are a survivor. Helping the client to realize their own strengths and skills used to overcome their trauma, instead of focusing on the trauma itself, is a powerful way to help clients achieve a positive outcome. Kisthardt (1992) states “intervention will work best when there is “an orientation to, and appreciation of, the uniqueness, skills, interests, hopes, and desires of each consumer, rather than a categorical litany of deficits” (p. 60-61). Kaplan and Girard (1994) state “people will be motivated to change and grow when their strengths are
The social worker must gain an understanding of how Emma perceives the events happening in her life. If it is determined that Emma has constructed and unhelpful perception of her life circumstances, the social worker must help Emma reconstruct a more positive and helpful reality. For example, she may feel that she is somehow causing this divorce with her parents because of the sexual abuse that happened to her in kindergarten. This perception may come from the fact that her mother believed and supported her. Meanwhile, her father did not believe her and rarely participated in her treatment. The actions of her parents may have caused tension which led to their divorce. However, because of her cognitive functioning she may view the situation as being her fault. The social worker would have to help Emma come to an understanding that her parents make their own decisions and their divorce is not her
I think overall Susan’s interaction with the children was good. I am assuming she did not get angry about the children’s behavior, because we were in a public place. This kept things from escalating. I think she did a good job walking away from Logan when he pushed a sensitive button for her. He claimed she was only being a good parent, because I was there.
