Some of their weaknesses include having little to no reaction to trends in the decorative paint industry, as well as having only a few joint ventures with companies in other countries. Sherwin-Williams could grow by increasing their joint ventures with other companies around the world, as well as adjusting to or even setting the trends with innovative products in the market. 17th and 18th century American colonial life was not easy for women, they were overworked and underappreciated. Women were married young and quickly took on all the household responsibilities, including bearing children. Husbands, quite literally, owned their wives and because of this women had no control of their earnings, property, inheritance, or anything else (Portland State University, 2001). Though, despite all the hardships women had to go through, some overcame the challenges and still found a way to become strong women with remarkable talents. Two women who exemplify this are Henrietta Johnston, an amazing painter whose portraits were unadorned to the eye but were created using an exceptional type of medium for her time and Anne Bradstreet whose poetry showed the love she had for her husband and the intimate feelings of a colonial women (Academy of American Poets, n.d.; Encyclopedia Britannica, Inc., 2016; Poetry Foundation, 2015; Sarudy, B. W., 2013). Johnston and Bradstreet both took on the typical domestic roles but still found a way to display their talents. Though, how did these roles effect the work they created?

Each individual involve in an argument has a particular position to be managed, and often times own personal interests are widely expressed. On October 28, 2016, I visited the Tampa Museum of Art in downtown Tampa. Located in the heart of downtown Tampa, the museum serves as the focal point of Tampa Bay’s lively creative art district. With three main exhibits set up, the Tampa Museum of Art highlights important pieces representing different time periods. Today, I want to talk about the Classical World section. There are many characteristics of art, including the ancient cultural relics, images, and sculpture from the ancient Rome, Greece, and other Mediterranean regions. Ancient objects from these areas such as pots, jewelry, and sculptures. Many of the pots had scenes and figures painted on them, many of which were significant historical events and mythological events.

Many artists have the power to make minor changes to how you think and how you see things, however, it's when artists interact with and respond to the world around them that they have the most power to do this. Two artists that do this particularly well are Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg. Both artists created during the context of the Cold War, allowing them to create works which applied to that timeframe, however, the art has been given new meaning and still applies today. Two artworks from each artist that are most effective are titled, ‘Target with Four Faces’ and ‘Flag’ by Jasper Johns, and ‘White Paintings’ and ‘Monogram’ by Robert Rauschenberg.
