1. In "The Chrysanthemums," the interaction between Elisa and the traveling repairman helps develop the story's theme about taking risks. One of the risks Elisa takes is trusting the repairman, also by telling him her thoughts and feelings, and by giving him the “Chrysanthemums” plant. At the end of the story, it shows that Elisa feels sad and betrayed because. When she told the repairman about how she feels he said, “a woman can't live the life he lives.” Then he describes how it feels and she felt even worse. The second way she got betrayed was when she gave him the “Chrysanthemums plant.” Later on in the story when she was going out for dinner on the way there she sees the “Chrysanthemums” holder. She makes up excuses to make herself feel better but it did not work.
In Conclusion, the mistake she made was that she trusted the repairman. She should not trust people when she first meets them. She should observe the person first and if the person seems good then she should trust them.

2. Brueghel's painting "Landscape with the Fall of Icarus" focuses on one specific part of the myth "The Story of Daedalus and Icarus" by Ovid. Describe the portion of the myth that the painting illustrates. Then imagine that the painting also included Daedalus's response to Icarus falling into the sea. The painting shows Icarus drowning and no one realizes. Which make the story sad and if Daedalus's was in the painting it would be even sadder because. The father sees his son drowning and can't do anything and what the father feels when he's seeing his own son drowning that makes the painting sadder. The moral is that sometimes when someone is suffering other people can be in front of that person and won't realize.
