I took the train to Strawberry 34. It was not a long commute. There I met with Sharon Wilburn, the key holder for this particular store. She was not hard to find and quickly assisted. It was a warm and friendly environment with two of the participants present. I spoke to them and asked them if they had everything they needed to completed the task at hand. Additionally, I asked them about their supervision, they told me they had excellent supervision and have been learning a lot about the retail business. I then collected the tome sheets and proceed to assess the facility. It was clean and well kept. The participants were task with folding and moving various products. This store is well lit, had proper ventilation and a new sprinkler system.

One of the largest examples of a technological privacy violation in history was the Target data breach of 2013. The Target Corporation is one of the leading innovators of the retail industry. They introduced the concept of designer partnerships, making them one of the leading clothing stores in the country (Corporate Target 1). Unfortunately, the company was targeted by Russian hackers shortly before the Christmas of 2013. In this hack, personal information, including customer names, mailing addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and credit card information, of seventy million people was stolen and used for fraud (Forbes 1). This has raised concerns over how well the company can ensure that their consumer’s privacy is protected.

With all the store openings, we had strict instructions from each shopping centre as when to open, not causing any disruption to the centre or any other store. Implementing all of the staff and making sure each of them was adequately trained to the Guess standard allowing them to be part of the openings was key to keeping each party involved satisfied.
I choose Globe Life as my business to evaluate. The message was effective, with facts about the policy. They explained how parents and grandparents want protection for a child at an early age; plus cheaper rates on the life insurance (Globe Life, n.d.). Globe Life does an excellent job of telling the facts and about the conclusions.
With agriculture being a major industry in the United States, it is concerning to see how few young farmers there are. This dilemma has occurred, since less people are now raised on farms, and consequently society lacks having agricultural knowledge. Additionally, modern machinery allows farmers to be able to effectively manage larger tracts of land. This results in modern agricultural practices not requiring the equivalent labor force necessary in the early 1900s. With less farmhands now required, society promotes young intellectuals to receive a college education and pursue only prestigious professions. While these positions are vital to society, agriculture still demands the best and brightest workers to creatively output the world’s food
With food retailing, the relationships between food manufacturers and retailers have been traditionally fairly complicated. We certainly see this complicated relationship with the mega box retailers. Manufacturers often pay slotting fees for shelf space and fund promotions, which means that they are subsidizing the advertising for their products. Trader Joe’s on the other hand have taken a much different approach. Trader Joe’s has eliminated many of the middlemen as they buy directly from the manufacturers. They buy large quantities, don’t sell shelf space, don’t offer discounts or coupons, and most importantly, they pay their suppliers quickly rather than stretching out the accounts payable for as long as possible. They do however change the balance of power in the supplier relationship by buying
Betty’s Crystal is a small collectible glass figurine store located in Metamora, Indiana owned by Betty Shiver (Bethel University, 2017). The shop sells a variety of figurines including previously owned collectibles and new items created by manufacturers such as Lalique and Swarovski. Although Old Metamora is historic and rural, during the weekends in the spring and summer the shop generates a lot of business from tourists. As the seasons change the cooler temperatures of fall and winter brings a reduction in visitors to the shop creating a huge drop in sales. Situated not far from several large cities, including Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Detroit, Indianapolis, Louisville, and St. Louis, Betty relies heavily on tourists to keep her business

This case study is in our new appointment in Paddabooks, Alabama. The issues that we are challenged with upon arriving deal with this noncompliance thrift store. This store has many issues that need to be addressed in order to ma make it profitable. There are two options that can be made here in this case study, close the thrift store or leave it open. Both options will equally have an impact on the Corps and the officer. If the store closes the officer will lose a source of revenue. This would require that the officer spend time searching for other types of revenue to supplement the income that has been lost by closing the store. Although, this looks like an option that would eliminate the challenges the officer faces keeping the store open, in reality it would create another challenge that needs to be addressed sometime later. If the store remains open, then the challenges the officer faces are immediate.

Again, it's a collaborative effort on many fronts. I'm glad you brought up the Chamber! I agree, many folks at the Chamber have a heavy hand in supporting Folsom businesses. On the flip side, they’re MANY within the Chamber's leadership (BizPAC) who can't keep they're hands out of the political process. They raise a tremendous amount of money via outside influences (mostly developers with current projects in Folsom) providing nearly ALL of the incumbent council members reelection material to the tune of $80,000 ($16,000 each for Miklos, Howell and Morin in 2014 alone!) https://www.folsom.ca.us/depts/city_clerk/elections___fppc.asp They claim to advocate on behalf of Folsom small business yet in 2014, they only spent 4% of this money with Folsom
