Wenyen enrolled in Manchester elementary schools when he was 5, and then enrolled in …. middle school when he was 11, and in his first week of school, is when he first picked up a basketball. After school one day, Wenyen was walking in the hallways of his new school, when he heard a lot of commotion coming from the gym. He decided to see what was going on because he had nothing better to do. When He opened the door, he noticed a bunch of kids fighting about how the teams wasn’t fair for the next pickup basketball game. One of the captains spotted Wenyen standing near the door, and was excited to see that he was a little taller than all of the kids that was playing, so the captain figured that it wouldn’t matter if his team is awful, if he had this tall African on his team. The captain screamed to Wenyen, “ Do you wanna play?”, and before Wenyen had a chances to say no, the captain follow up with, “ Hurry up, you are …show more content…
That was a mistake. When he first got the ball, he turned around and passed the ball to the other team. The kids on his team probably thought it was a common mistake, and that Wenyen still has a chance to be a amazing basketball player, so they kept feeding him the ball. The next time Wenyen received the ball, he learned passing wasn’t his forte, so he tried driving to the basketball. When he tried to put the ball on the glossy, tan court, he dribbled the ball off of his foot, and that’s when everybody realized that Wenyen Gabriel was awful at basketball. At the end of the game, Wenyen also knew that he wasn’t the best basketball ever, but he liked the rush that he got whenever he got the ball, and all the defenders start to rush after him, he like the feeling he got when the ball dropped through the bottom of the net, and he like the feeling he got when teammates and fans cheer for him. So at the end of the game, Wenyen fell in love with the sport of
Once upon a time in Chino Hills, California there was a family full of ballers coincedently owning the last name Ball. The three kids, Lonzo, Liangelo, and Lamelo were each magical on the court, and when you got them on the court together it was like poetry in motion. The way the brothers dished the ball amongst themselves, almost appearing as if they knew each other's very next move, was truly a pleasure to the eyes. As the boys continued to tear up their competition in a high scoring and fast-paced manner, their notoriety and fame continued to grow. It was very clear that the Ball boys were on a path of stardom.
From that day on, Wenyen tried to play basketball whenever he got the chance. In between classes he would run to the gym to get a few shots up with his friends. After school, when he was finished with most of his homework, he would walk to the local park with his brothers to play games. Wenyen went to that same court day after day for the next three years. It was obvious that Wenyen was getting better. There was no more passing the ball to the other team, no more dribbling the ball off of his feet, and each game he would score more and more points. While he was playing pick up one day with a couple of his friends, his friends started talking about the Mass Rivals. Mass Rivals was an elite AAU basketball club, that put a lot of kids into college,
His first game playing basketball he was nervous; his hands were sweating and his legs were shaking, almost as if he couldn't stand up at all. His teammates were trying to encourage him to not be so nervous and to just try to have fun.
Picking up the ball at 8 years old for the first time, I did not really have a love for basketball. However, when I saw how Kobe Bryant competed and played the sport,
As he began walking down the street, on a windy cold spring morning, passing through the violence and hearing the sounds of cats and dogs barking and meowing, he made his way to the school gym. The floors were as shiny as a bald person’s head. He wasn’t really into the whole tryout thing. He had a fear about breaking his ankles. After watching the famous basketball player Kevin Ware who landed on his right ankle and broke it, he was scared from then on.
DeAndre had just remembered he had basketball practise today. He has always been scared to go to practise because all the kids would make fun of him because he didn’t have all the great stuff like the other children.
The first game comes around, and Damian is going to work. Leaping with all his might, Dame throws down a rim shattering dunk. All the fans a hyped up for the next game, and at the next game, the gym is packed. Again, Dame is the starting point guard, he scores twenty-four points.
It all began on November 3, 2015 during my first middle school basketball tournament. The grey brick walls of the gymnasium looking more like a prison than a school. The school’s “Lincoln Park Elementary School” sign had graffiti and missed a couple letters from the name. The court was terribly small, but we began by playing the superb team of Jam on It. We were blown out and I headed back up to my mom and dad in the parent filled stands. The game wasn’t even fun to play and we looked like third graders playing them. I looked up to my parents as sad as could be.
The last time I was at a event was at the Marquette basketball game. When we arrived we walked in and showed the security guards our tickets. They ripped the paper part of the ticket off and tossed it into the garbage. It smelled like sweet nuts and body odor as we got past the first check. After, we started walking to our seats. We had to walk up a lot of stairs to get to our destination. When we got there and the people asked if we needed anything, we all said not at the moment but maybe in a little while. When I sat down, I saw a huge sea of blue and yellow Marquette jerseys and a couple red ones for the opposing team. There was 3 minutes until game time and they were flying around a large blimp with t-shirts looped to the bottom to drop.
It was the third day of camp. I remember feeling two towering presences. Every time I walked in I would see the owner (who was a six foot 8 former NBA player) and my friend's dad (who was six foot six). Every day before the camp was open Aiden would practice dribbling and shooting drills. That day there was a special celebration at the camp for a traditional knockout game for all of the kids. At this time, I was in fourth grade, so I had

“Tommy wake up Gage and Henry just pulled up and you have practice in 40 minutes” mother said.
Within Hollywood’s movies depiction of drug addiction, many have failed to represent all true aspects that come along with such lifestyles. The movie, The Basketball Diaries, is based off a novel Jim Carroll wrote from his own diary entries. DiCaprio’s most captivating scene is when he is going through heroin
After projects are designated, they are officially sanctioned utilizing a record described as a project charter. Should the company decide to outsource the work to an external resource to complete the undertaking, it will prepare a record entitled a request for proposal (RFP); subsequently, interested outworkers present their proposals for the consumer, who afterwards chooses which free-lancer to hire to complete the project and signs a contract with the designated contractor. It was the first day of tryouts in ninth grade and I was nervous out of my mind. I walked in the freshly lit gymnasium, with maroon bleachers and the roaring black panther mascot in the dead center of the court. The first game of tryouts and I stepped onto the court knowing that I should display my talent for scoring, passing, and defending. I made sure that talked on defense “Down Low, Cutter, I got two, One D, Baby J” and I made sure I said it enough where the coach heard me from the sidelines.
