History background and culture effect everyone is the 21th Century. In America, we are like a melting pot where we have different nationality and culture. Even though we are so used to different cultures, we might not understand the beliefs in each cultures. Stereotype occurred in the movie Wild Child several times. Wild Child is a movie that was filmed in 2008 is it a story about “a rebellious Malibu princess is shipped off to a strict English boarding school by her father.” (“Wild Child”). It could be difficult for a transfer student to make friends just by moving from a city to another within the country. When someone has to move from U.S. to England, it is even harder, because he or she not only has to deal with getting used to a new environment but also has to deal with the conflicts between two different cultures. In the movie, there were examples of concepts such as relationship between many type of groups, culture difference between two countries, and stereotype. “Relationship are the interconnection, or interdependence, between two or more people that function to achieve some goal.”(O’Hair 5) There are many different types of relationship, relationships between parents and children and relationships between friends are …show more content…

In the movie, Poppy Moore herself is one of the biggest example of stereotypical Malibu Girl, which is the type of girls that grew up in a rich family and doesn’t know how to respect others. When Poppy first got to the boarding school, all her clothes and shoes got wet because of the weather she was so sad and didn’t know what to do, so when her saw the resident advisor she automatically assume that the advisor will wash all the clothes for her. And even when the advisor told her no, she thought the advisor doesn’t speak English but speaks Spanish. This is another stereotype, Poppy assume that maid only speak Spanish not
